Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Help!

I'm trying to find a Motivational poster that someone posted here. It's of "Mrs Reynolds" from Firefly and the caption is something like "THE SPECIAL HELL: Yeah, I'd go there". I've checked the usual threads but I can't find it and the Search function is no help looking for an image/attachment. Can anyone else remember this and point me to it?

That American football thing. Everyone stays home, huddling around their gigantic TVs so they don't miss a second of overpadded, bulky men carrying a weird-shaped ball from one end to the other of a big, grassy, indoor field. (Okay, they're not ALL indoors, but I definitely lost a lot of respect for football when they started having enclosed domes to play in.)

On Super Bowl Sunday' date=' I am making chili and probably going to ignore the football game.[/quote']

Keri and I went to Costco. As predicted there were considerably fewer people than I would normally expect on a Sunday afternoon. Though getting in was a bit difficult, as at our store they have the huge TV display right as you get in the door, and all of them had the game on. Maneuvering around all the people who where just stopped in place watching was a pain, but ah well...

Though we did ask our server when we went to Chili's who was playing. :) Service was actually pretty good. There were frequent enough breaks in the game that the fact that our waitress only showed up during commericals actually meant that she was buy fairly frequently. :D

Heh. I learned that I'm off the hook, sort of, for Valentine's Day evening this year. Turns out that is the main performance of the school play in which my daughter is a chorus member.

Presents, of course, are still needed, but those are easier to come by later. Dinner & entertainment out take more foresight.
