3735928559 decimal = DEADBEEF hex.

 

No one in their right mind mind (or most varieties of wrong mind) does that mentally ... If you've got a Windows machine, open the Calculator out of Accessories, go to its View menu and pull down Scientific. Making sure "Dec" is selected, copy-paste the number in. Then click it over to "Hex".

 

Much easier is to type "3735928559 in hexadecimal" in the google search window. Or "0xDEADBEEF in decimal" to go the other way.

 

Also "0xDEADBEEF in binary" 0xDEADBEEF = 0b11011110101011011011111011101111

"0xDEADBEEF in octal" 0xDEADBEEF = 0o33653337357

 

And if you happen to be interested in astronomy

 

"382 light years in AU" 382 light years = 24 157 554.6 Astronomical Units

"382 light years in cubits" 382 light years = 7.90446599 × 1018 cubits

 

etc.

And the apprentice did so, peering each day through the tiny window into the field beyond in which a mighty ox grazed.

 

And at the end of faulty days and faulty nights the masked lunatic returned from his mischief and flung wide the door, crying "Have cheer, the way is clear, leave your cell and come out here!"

 

And the apprentice, on the edge of enlightenment, quoth "I cannot come out, my horns will not fit through the door."
