Old Man
Re: A Thread for Random Mooings 3735928559 decimal = DEADBEEF hex. No one in their right mind mind (or most varieties of wrong mind) does that mentally ... If you've got a Windows machine, open the Calculator out of Accessories, go to its View menu and pull down Scientific. Making sure "Dec" is selected, copy-paste the number in. Then click it over to "Hex". Much easier is to type "3735928559 in hexadecimal" in the google search window. Or "0xDEADBEEF in decimal" to go the other way. Also "0xDEADBEEF in binary" 0xDEADBEEF = 0b11011110101011011011111011101111 "0xDEADBEEF in octal" 0xDEADBEEF = 0o33653337357 And if you happen to be interested in astronomy "382 light years in AU" 382 light years = 24 157 554.6 Astronomical Units "382 light years in cubits" 382 light years = 7.90446599 × 1018 cubits etc.
Cancer
Re: A Thread for Random Mooings I'll give you that. My method works if you're off-line, which I am most of the time when I'm not mooching my employer's high-speed connection.
Cancer
Re: A Thread for Random Mooings Cows of the World, Unite! (MOO) loses their season opener to Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (LH). Box score here. It's been years, at least, since we've been able to beat the meatles, so to speak. Cancer
Re: A Thread for Random Mooings MOO wins their Week 3 match (after being drubbed in the first two) by the simple expedient of outshooting their opponent more than 2:1. We won't be able to do that very often, though.

Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow; a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more: it is a tale Told by an idiot [and I should know ], full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing." --From MOOcbeth (V, v, 19), by William Shakesteere

"V"
Re: A Thread for Random Mooings And the apprentice came to the masked lunatic and said, "Master, my meditations do not go well. I know in my head that the world is only the dream of a slumbering madman, but I cannot know it in my heart. I am what I am, and the world is real." So the masked lunatic, smiling as he always did (the callous swine), showed the apprentice into a cell carefully prepared and said "Remain here, without fear, and through the window daily peer." And the apprentice did so, peering each day through the tiny window into the field beyond in which a mighty ox grazed. And at the end of faulty days and faulty nights the masked lunatic returned from his mischief and flung wide the door, crying "Have cheer, the way is clear, leave your cell and come out here!" And the apprentice, on the edge of enlightenment, quoth "I cannot come out, my horns will not fit through the door." Apparently.
