Michael Hopcroft Posted May 21, 2020 Report Share Posted May 21, 2020 Along those lines, the Assassin Creed series includes "virtual tours" of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece, both of which were the subject of recent entries in the franchise. The tours have been made available for free, for at least a while, by Ubisoft. I have but have not started them, because there is some time commitment if you want the full benefit. However you feel about the core idea of the series (a man's mind is transported to various times and places to fight an ancient conspiracy using parkour, martial arts, and cold-hearted efficiency), the settings of the games are quite beautiful and apparently period accurate (the point that the people rebuilding the roof of Notre Dame in Paris have used work done for one of the games are a rough guide to what it should look like when done.
