Foods for those that just don't care anymore

Myself, I had Mexican Coca-Cola (made with sugar) in a glass bottle.  Reminded me of the days when I worked bottling Coca-Cola at the local plant before they closed down the bottling operation in 1992.  Didn't pay a whole lot, but still, we got to make Coca-Cola.

Those were the days.

For my family Christmas gathering I made a chocolate cream/peanut butter cream pie. I sort of stumbled on it, as I did not originally intend to do what I did, but everyone liked it. So here's how to make one yourself.

You'll need a large box of chocolate pudding/pie-filling mix (you can substitute any other flavor if you want to be bold), 2.5 cups of milk, a cup of whipping cream, a 10 oz. bag of peanut butter chips, and a graham cracker pie crust (get the large one, or make it from crumbs yourself if you know how).

Head the whipping cream in the microwave until it is very hot. Put the peanut butter chips in a bowl, add the cream, and stir. The hot cream will melt the chips and stirring it properly will add body to the concoction. Pour it into the pie crust and stick it into the fridge for a couple of hours to set.

After that, make the pie filling as per the directions. Pour it on top of the peanut butter layer and put it back in the fridge to set. I let it sit in the fridge two days. The result is a sweet, creamy, cool pie with two distinct layers. You can top it with whipped cream if you choose, or eat it as is.

I imagine you could make it even richer by getting a bag of chocolate chips and repeating what you did with the peanut butter (with more whipping cream), but you'd need to use the right kind of chips to keep the chocolate layer from being bitter (or add sugar).
