Eodin
Just a reminder that Traveller Licensing is fading come November (a week from tomorrow). If you don't have any of the Traveller Hero books and want them, time is short. I've asked Polaris to post a more specific update as possible, but FYI. ghost-angel
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching Ah! There's some stuff I don't own yet . . . Where'd I put that credit card . . .
Eldos
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching I've got them and I can say that they are really good. Although I am biased in that Traveller is one of my favorite settings. The jury isn't in yet though in my opinon on Mongoose's Traveller which is why Hero is loosing the licence from what I've heard. Don't know if I'll get it or not.
NestorDRod
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching Well, I plunked down my hard-earned cash for the two core books. Print, not PDF; I want to be able to take these around to read. Thanks for the heads-up.
ghost-angel
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching The two core books (I popped for PDF/Print bundle last winter) are excellent. It's the rest of the stuff I need to get. . .
SCUBA Hero
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching Other than the two core books, what is there to buy? A dozen, I say, good man, I'll take a dozen!!!
Derek Hiemforth
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching I just picked up the Golden Age Starships series and the Special Supplement series (which, as far as I can tell, are the other products beyond the core books with HERO-specific content). Thanks for all the great work, and for contributing to the Hero legacy, gang!
ghost-angel
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching Other than the two core books, what is there to buy? A dozen, I say, good man, I'll take a dozen!!! There are several Starship PDFs that have builds in them, and some other supplements in the HERO Line. Their new website does a much better job than the old of dividing out and presenting the HERO stuff.
Starwolf
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching Looks like I need to pony up... I only have book 2 PDF, I at least need to spring for book 1 PDF.
penemue
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching It's excellent work. I hope that they port it to a worthy sci fi setting... I would say that the robots pdf was well worth it for my robot players in any genre.
shadowcat1313
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching glad you liked the robots book, I really wish I could have done more with it, but that might be a subject for later. I am sad to see Traveller Hero go away, but we took our shot at it, and we at least moderately succeeded.
Eodin
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching And although the Traveller licensing for Traveller HERO is going away, we are not losing the HERO license. So we (myself, Shadowcat, and others) will continue to turn out Star Hero stuff. I'm planning on finishing my Star Hero Adventures, as well as settings and various other things for the ComStar Star Hero universe. Much of it should be transplantable to a Traveller Hero or other Star Hero campaigns. So a time of transition - the end of one thing and the start of something else. shadowcat1313
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching yeah, I'm a afraid Eodin and I wouldnt be much help, Polaris handled all those details on Traveller Hero for the product we produced for sale, for the fan pdf it really never went in writing, we just had to get permission from Hero Games and Far Future. It's not the most clear setup I've encountered. But the products kick butt, so it's all cool in my book.
Maur
Re: Traveller HERO: end is approaching Does the license expiring mean you can't produce any new material or does it also prevent the sale of current stock as well?

We'll need clarification from Polaris on that.
