Badger
Because I have to do it Slim Shade A former music artist. He discovered his mutant ability, he is a "shadow duplicator", he is able to duplicate an exact copy of himself using a shadow of himself. Usually keeps a few "clones" around ahead of time, so the heroes wont know which is him (and maybe his own allies, if it suits him) as well as provide mook muscle Edit: Inspired to change, due to remembering the lyrics of the song of an artist who shall remain nameless. death tribble
Shade E Shade E worked for the original Mr Shade and was quiet unlike his boss who had a penchant for being upset. He also was very protective of the name doing anything and everything to stop people calling themselves Shade or any derivation. Yes you guessed right, this was the guy who tried to kill Eminem. He failed naturally but that only incensed him all the more. After one altercation too many with the police, superhero groups and the rest of the Underworld, Mr Shade was 'retired'. This left the protege to become the new master. In order to stave off attacks from enemies of his boss, Shade E changed his name to his new moniker. And helped form the group so that they all had Shade related names. Shade E has shadow related powers which are useless in conditions of total darkness. The other condition is that there has to be something around that can induce or produce a shadow.

Badger
Nightshade She prefers to be called Belladonna. This Nightshade is a woman, who was kidnapped as a girl and put through experiments attempting to unlock the use of plants as weapons. As a result she can now exude various poisons that can kill, knockout or paralyze others. Numbers are thought to be in the dozens. (a little sadistic she does prefer her special paralyzer that leave a victim awake.....and capable and sensitive to feeling pain.**) **Probably a byproduct from the painful experiments during her captivity, was to want to cause pain in others

Christopher
New Team The Shady Squad Most supers take offence to others using their name. Not so The Shady squad. Which is comprised of 5 members who used the name Shade. Though now that their working together they tend to use another name like sinister or sexy, but each members official name is just Shade. So I count 2 from Badger (Slim Shady, Nightshade), one from Death Tribble (Shade E) and one stub from Pinecone. Just Shade actually got into this outfit thanks to some misstranslations and the press. He is a German villain that originally went by the name "Schadenfreude". Wich was shortened to "Schade" or "Schaden" and later misstranslate to "Shade" or "Shade N"*. And then it kind of stuck. He is a Martial Artist dedicated to taking out the enemies with Trips, Shoves and the like near ledges or drops whenever the opportunity arises. He is also prone to laughing about anyone elses misfortune, inlcuding his teammates ocasssionally. In case that counts as Nr 5, I got no team to post. *Some english to german translations are really, really bad. I make it a habit to never play a game on german dub if I got the english one or original plus english subtitles (in case of japanese ones). Nothere
People like to think of reality as a solid permanent thing. It isn't. Time travelers, cosmic events, and strange things from other dimensions have warped and altered what people call reality. And while what you think of as reality is currently real, its previous bending and warping has created weak points and cracks. One day a man fell through one.He found himself inside a pocket dimension. How long was he there? Who knows when time doesn't exist is a minute a thousand years or a thousand years a minute? Over time he learned to alter the dimension, change it's form, and much to his delight warp it enough so that he could even reach into our dimension. True he could only take or place small objects. But he was dissatisfied with the speed at which he manipulated our world. So he left notes nd valuable objects trying to organize a group that would help him on this side. Some joined the Seven Phantoms and so he "joined" too. Though not even they have ever seen him. The story of th e Outsider is stll told in whispers in the underworld. pinecone
death tribble
There have been several people going by the name of The Wraith. These have included variations on this like Dread Wraith, Doom Wraith, Night Wraith, Black Wraith, Red Wraith, Pink Wraith (don't ask) and Time Wraith. The latter is the member of the Seven Phantoms. He is an insurance agent who goes around debunking claims of ghosts and impossible thefts by proving usually cases of fraud. It was while doing this in his normal job that he met one of the people who called himself The Wraith. At the time this also involved a theft and a rather awful murder scene. The Wraith was dying and passed on the knowledge of the crime that had been committed and also gifted the insurance agent with a derivation of his powers. For this is why there are always Wraiths. When one retires (surprising but true) or dies the powers can be transferred to another. However they are never quite the same and work in different ways. The agent was thus able to sidestep and watch as the police and others came in to the murder scene and tried to puzzle out what had happened. Point of fact the crime is officially unsolved. The agent returned to work but found he could obscure his identity even from people who had known him quite a while and so now works as a consultant to all the insurance firms trying to solve impossible thefts or other crimes. His deductive reasoning is reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes in its grounding in logic. The fact that he may have to set things up in order that it works is besides the point. It was while on assignment trying to solve one crime that The Time Wraith came across the others. After terrifying one of the others by seeming to appear when they were trying to pull a crime, he then came across another of the nascent group and let them get away with their plunder rather than stopping them. This led to the groups foundation. The Time Wraith dresses like a cowled monk or like The Time Trapper. He is also the one most committed to finding and more importantly aiding The Outsider. The Time Wraith is not sure whether The Outsider was guiding him into getting the group going or indeed was responsible for him meeting the The Wraith in the first place but he feels he should help him. The Time Wraith is unlike many criminals in that he is not out for the money or anything mundane. It is the challenge that motivates him. pinecone

death tribble
Like the name, The Wraith, The Night is another recurring name. The current owner much prefers to be alone and suffers from mild paranoia. So it was with some shock that when trying to commit a crime he ran into a monk like figure appearing out of thin air. He also seemed to receive messages from out of nowhere which really freaked him out. The Time Wraith eventually appeared and stopped The Night from having a full scale breakdown. The Night can throw up darkness fields in daylight but usually operates at night so that he appears invisible. He can also dim lighting whether natural or artificial. He prefers to operate on his own but if in support he will hang out at the back. Both The Outsider and Time Wraith have told Memorex not to meddle with The Night as his paranoia could have disastrous effects.
bubba smith
Drake "Mandrake" Barkler Drake was a disappointment and a joke to the rest of the Barkler Clan because of his passion for his hobby. Just about anything else would have been exceptable to the family but Drake loved stage magic. And no family of black practitioners practiced in the dark arts and hidden mysteries can abide a penny ante conjurorer. Drake practiced in secret his father destroyed his mail order magic kit when he found it so Drake concentrated on slight of hand coin and card tricks. His siblings and cousins mocked him calling him Mandrake the magician. Drake persevered finally he felt he was skilled enough to show the family. After a swingeing dinner for the extended family. Drake gathered the family and began his act he began with the classic disappearing ball trick and despite the family's apathy and contempt for his hobby many where impressed by his skill and showmanship. Unfortunately his cousin Bradley a thug and bully who had made Drake's life hellish insisted on heckling stage whispering to his cronies about real magic and how pathetic drake was. Drake persevered ending his act with his very best trick. Drake stood in front of the gathered family a single large red foam ball resting in his palm. Bradley yelled from his seat at the back "WOW! HOLDING A BALL THAT'S SOME TRICK!" and then without a single motion from Drake the ball vanished. The family was shocked into silence that was one hell of a finale no one could work out how it was done even Bradley was speechless there was applause and then a loud crash as a blue in the face choking Bradley collapsed to the floor clawing at his throat. Some one pulled him to his feet and delivered the heimlich and a large red foam ball covered in spit flew from his mouth. "The next time..."Drake said in a chill emotionless voice. "it will be in your heart!" Drake is now the families Assasin able to kill with out leaving a trace or in a manner that screams don't mess with the Barklers. His only spell is his ability to teleport an object of less than an ounce anywhere within 12 feet including inside objects. He can also recall any object in that radius he can see to his hand and recall the last object sent if he can see it or not. He uses this spell to devastating effect if he wants to send a message his target might be found with and ace of spades lodged in his heart or brain stem on the other hand an ounce of heroin appearing in your heart or an icecube for that matter will leave very little trace for an autopsy. While he mostly uses his power to kill Drake can also disable block the carotid till a target passes out then remove it. teleport a razor blade into a speedsters Acl. How about a cherry pit in the aqueous humour of a person with eyebeams. Mandrake is a middle tier magician playing shows all over the world which often gives him an excellent cover to get close to targets. Mandrake the magician ? BoloOfEarth
Emmett Paulson is one of the most sought-after assassins, owing mainly to his ability to cause a death that looks completely natural or accidental. Some say he must be a master of exotic poisons to cause fatal heart attacks, others claim he can turn invisible and intangible to push someone out a window, and still more believe he's a mentalist able to command people to step in front of passing cars. But Emmett is none of these things. Paulson, better known simply as The Shade, has the ability to tag someone with a deadly probability alteration field, often causing anything from a fatal heart attack or stroke, to an accidental death. He can also give himself (or others) a beneficial probability alteration field, allowing him (or others) to bypass security, avoid being seen, etc. - - - - - I believe that's seven, so the next team is the Lost Legion. These five individuals have each lost something -- memories, family, home dimension, spaceship to return home, etc. -- and banded together to help each other restore what they once had or punish those who took from them. Since they feel justified in doing anything in these quests, they are known to be on the wrong side of the law.

Bad Bunny has a mad om for the world and sows chaos and destruction in his path of course deep down all he wants is his Lost Innocence back and his magical adventures with Mary-sue. pinecone
Badger
Rebecca Stanley was born sometime in the 1600s in a small English village. At one point witch hunting fever gripped the area. Always as a child, she was very sweet, but she was very quiet, and had trouble being able to associate with the other children. She quickly became known as the village's odd girl. So, when the witchfinders came it was the beginning of the end for the then 19 year old. When half the crops died, the villagers knew it "had" to be her. When the cattle got sick, it had to be her. If one were to point out that maybe they ate something bad, it somehow would have been caused by her magic, of course. If a villager so much as had a nightmare even, it must have been her. Needless to say, finding witnesseses was easy. Not that any of it was true, and what ever else was purely natural events fueled by hysteria. She was the scapegoat, and what had to be said to get rid of her, was a small price to pay. SO when it came for burning her at the stake, the fire seemed almost supernaturally fueled by all the hatred of the villagers. And for the first time, she did retaliate towards the hatred she had always dealt with, and silently cursed them. Whether it was the curse, or the fact after all they had done, they refused to even give her parents the small peace of giving her ashes a decent Christian burial, her spirit was unable to pass on. As her spirit saw the town moving on as if they had being completely innocent and in the right, and as her parents died with their spirits broken, her soul's fury consistently grew. Small tragedies would befall the town over the years. Finally, sometime in the 1850s, when her tragedy had become legend. A fire of unimaginable intensity came forth, incinerating the town and surrounding area, several people were ultimately trapped, ironically all were descendants of key people involved with her trial and execution. The town was never rebuilt, but she was still unable to find peace, if anything it was worse, now she was unable to even have the descendants of her tormentors to keep her company and bring focus to her anguish. At some point, another member of the legion managed to come into the area and make contact, at least her spirit could have some purpose again. She is a ghost with pyrokinetic powers, often very intense, as it is fueled by the hatred of her tormentors long ago, with her fury from the outrage committed upon her acting as an accelerant. She doesn't have a particular alternate ID, because well she is a ghost after all. It's hard to figure out what she wants baack after hundreds of years of emotional, physical, and spiritual agony. Perhaps she long for the life she was never allowed. Perhaps she wants true recognition that what was done was an injustice. Perhaps she wanted friends, she was never able to acquire. As being in the presence of the rest of the group outside of battle, she can often be quite content, knowing the others bond in shared pain, and almost becomes the same sweet, timid young woman she used to be. Maybe, the only thing she wants is to finally find some possible way to move on into a peaceful existence in the afterlife.
death tribble
This team needs a leader and someone who can contact a ghost and work with the others. Hmm. A sorcerer fits the bill. The Wizard Aronac Some men aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bullied, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. They just want to watch the world burn. Thus the motivation for the The Wizard Aronac. The reason why is quite clear. He does not exist. He was the antagonist in a best selling series or novels and a set of graphic novels brought into being by The Animator who can take fictional people or things and bring them to life. The Wizard Aronac spent some time trying to return to his home realm and life until he became aware that his whole existence was a fiction. Some say it snapped his mind and made him truly psychotic. If he is referred to as Aronac or TWA he can kill the person who calls him that or transform them into an animal or an object. He has also killed various religious figures for referring to him as a servant of the Devil. These were quite graphic in front of the congregations such as burning one to death in hellfire and having another torn to pieces by demons. Thereafter religious figures refer to him as 'evil' which he has no problem with. He has however reacted badly whenever someone refers to him as a 'Harry Potter' wannabe or a poor man's Merlin or suchlike. The Wizard Aronac brought the team together and can communicate with all of them. He can sympathise with all of them. While he can do nothing to help himself he has the potential to help the others. Various magical people are keeping an eye on him as they know he can do almost anything with magic. New Team This team is based on the song the twelve days of Christmas. Do not take this seriously. Twelve members. First person can name the team if they wish. No one person to do 10, 11 or 12 members. For reference the song has a partridge in a pear tree, (done) two turtle doves, (done) three french hens (done) four calling birds (done) five gold rings (done) six geese a laying (done) seven swans a swimming (done) eight maids a milking (done) nine ladies dancing ten lords a leaping (done) eleven pipers piping (done) twelve drummers drumming (done) BoloOfEarth
Badger
Edit: Changing the character, as 5 rings is much more workable Another edit: Different source of fandom, probably works better for "spell" purposes. And to identify them from each other. I'll leave the team name for #2. The Ringmaster Baxter Osgood was the Lord of the Rings and many other things geekdom. One day, when looking for collectibles at a local Magic: The Gatherin tournament. A mysterious vendor came to him claiming to have 5 gold rings of representing each of the magics. Despite, the dirt low price, he didn't think there might be a catch (a curse) Each ring gives him one element to control, he has learned a wide variety of "spells" with them. He also wears a cloak reminiscent of a ringwraith, common opinion due to the curse of the rings. He also wears the rings, like a necklace around his neck. How he wears them doesn't seem to matter in his ability to use them. Also, taking the rings away, has proven useless, as they seem to teleport back onto him within a matter of seconds. Each ring is lined with the color representing the branch of magic it calls forth.
