Men were known to kill one another just for a smile her carmine colored lips. She is a master manipulator, a true sociopath.

It's only three steps down to the door of Fox and Hound. Inside is the typical pub in Northern Ireland. The smoke is so thick you could cut it with a knife, even though smoking has been band in pubs for some time now. In one corner is a roaring fireplace that keeps out the chill from the drizzle that has been coming down for what seems to be days. A group of lads are playing darts while drinking heartily. However, it's at the bar that the action is really taking place. It has been several years since these fine fellows banded together. Each and every one of them has felt betrayed in some way by the Sinn Fein or the IRA for that matter. To be true they're nothing like them. These Provos are true patriots; patriots with a little something extra that sets them apart from the common man. Today in the Fox and Hound the Provos gather once again to drive the hated British into the sea.

 

The Provos are a band of 6 super-villains. All are of an Irish background. So lift a pint to villainy....

NT: The Empire's Avengers

 

The sun set on the British Empire, did it ? Balderdash ! The Empire's Avengers are here to put that lie to rest. The members of this group all conform to British (English, Irish and Scottish) adventuring stereotypes such as bucaneers and explorers such as Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh, soldiers such as Clive of India and Lt Bromhead (Rourke's Drift) and explorers such as Robert Scott of the Antarctic.

Their methods might be say less than legal so that is why they are in the villains

As a reminder we did an British/English team back in July, however those were adventuring stereotypes.

 

Criminals on the other hand.... reminder these villains cannot come from Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. The Channal Islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Sark etc) are fair game as are the Isles of Man and Wight. If in doubt ask me. i know the Brit side of things.

 

Diamond Geezer

 

Unlike Flash Harry who does not set out to cause physical/mental harm to people, Diamond Geezer does. A thief and a thug, he grew up in the East end of London and went onto 'great things' as an enforcer for one of the criminal gangs that had succeeded The Krays and the Richardsons. An unashamed racist he is also sexist to a fault. Geezer hits people and is a mid level brick. he ain't the brains of the group but he is the most loyal.

Irish Jack clames to be decended from Jack The Ripper. The 'Irish' in his name is based on his favorite targets. He patroles Whitechapple with abandon, and is extremely skilled with anything sharp.

The Conservative

 

The money man and would be leader of the group, The Conservative is a right wing follower rather than fanatic.  Combat wise he is the weakest but he has a lot of influence and contacts. He is also an ideas man. Particularly if said ideas exploit the masses and turn a tidy profit. He is swarmy and shallow. He is the same sort of person who would make the corrupt religious evangelists in the States look like Sunday School teachers.

A true gentleman. A man whom always dresses his best and acts the part. Chap typically wears a suit, tie/cravat, proper shoes and hat. An accomplished HTH combatant, he can come out of any scuffle without spilling any libations he might be imbibing. His favorite pastime, besides any gorgeous feme fetal, is to match wits with men of accomplishment.

Bernie Whitehall is a very very very distant relative of nobility. By his way of thinking that means he should at least be well off, not scrounging the dead end streets of Birmingham. So turning to crime was just a way to even the scales. It became even easier when he had an accident robbing a lab, and found himself able to create a silence field He then used some of his stolen funds to create a backjack that produced neurolectric shocks rendering pretty much anyone struck in the back of the head unconscious. And it doesn't do so bad for the front. Now he is one of Birmingham's most dangerous criminals known only as the Footpad.

Scouser

 

He is jolly and jovial and if it is not tied down he will nick it. He can talk the hind leg off a donkey but is never boring. He'll drink the drink right out of your glass, take candy from a baby and then come back next week and do the same ! His accent, apparel and fanatical support of Liverpool FC are giveaways to his identity.

Rule 1. All must be men.

Rule 2. The cornerback is the LAST picked position in this group

Rule 3. The following roles MUST be filled Nose Tackle, Defensive End, Defensive/End/Nose Tackle, and Middle Linebacker.

Rule 4. The extra roles are Dimeback, Nickelback, Free Safety, Strong Safety, Halfback and Outside Linebacker

Rule 5. The members are loyal to each other despite the fact that they might like each other, their boss or the quarterback.

Rule 6. The group follow American football rules so no guns or knives but they can and will use brute force to take down an opponent like a policeman.

Rule 7. If you pick 1 role then you cannot pick the next.

Overrun

 

The man who became Overrun was in the NFL until he was convicted of using steroids and taking cocaine. He says he was framed but holds no grudges towards his ex-teammates or the fans. The manager, owner and the officials in the NFL who helped getting him removed from the team are another matter. He was approached by Midway who had been tasked with looking for likely candidates for the defensive unit and the special teams. He needed no real persuasion and has been instrumental in getting the defensive unit established. His loyalty is to the defensive unit first and the rest of the team second. Overrun is the Nose Tackle of the unit setting up against the most powerful of an opponent's group and taking them on or going straight after the leader. Due to his public disgrace he is known to then authorities and even the general public. He is a mid level brick but one who can can cling on to someone pinning their arms even if they are stronger than he is.

Oswald Queensbury is The Teams Half Back

 

Oswald was born in Australia His father was a world class rugby player who played for his country the birth of his first son to his beautiful wife should have been a day of rejoicing but instead it was a day of sadness Oswald's mother died giving birth to him and he was badly deformed. Oswald was born with severe congenital Kyphosis or more commonly a Hunchback his father sank into a dark and angry depression fell into a bottle and never came back up he vented hi frustration and anger at the death of his beloved wife and the end of his career on his crippled child and Oswald what would follow would be years of physical an emotional abuse at his father hands for the next 15 years oswald was isolated with just his drunk violent father for company and all he wanted was to be Normal and make his father proud then his Oswald Snr succeeded in drinking himself to death.

 

Over night Oswalds life changed free of his fathers wrath he also discovered his father had a millions accrued from endorsements during his prime as a rugby legend. But Despite the wealth oswald only wanted one thing to cure him self of his condition and to play rugby like his father. years of painful procedures would follow each more dangerous than the last but nothing worked his back was still as twisted as ever. Finally in desperation his wealth dwindling he heard about a doctor who seemingly worked miracles he gathered up the last of his inheritance and journeyed to a secret clinic on a private island. The experimental treatment was derived from a cold-war super soldier program (No one knew who's) and Oswald prayed that he would finally be cured.

 

Tragically for him the process succeeded in every way except the one he craved he gained remarkable strength agility and resilience and massively enhanced healing unfortunately it did not cure his underlying condition in fact the strain of the his augmented body made it worse( the healing abilities would prevent any other treatment from working). Furious he went on a rampage only to be subdued by the clinics guards and awoke broke friendless and furiously angry in an alley in Brooklyn pretty soon he was using his enhanced physique to steal and just because he could.

 

eventually the Aussie Quasimodo came to the attention of the NYRVB. oswald (or ozzie as the team mostly calls him) is pretty happy as half back soaking up attacks with his enhanced healing and toughness. he just loves to bring the pain(he has plenty to spare) to anyone who gets in the teams way in the end It's not quite rugby but it will do

Blitzkrieg

 

Blitzkrieg is the middle linebacker.   He is the son of a German who immigrated to America.................... shortly after the war.  He also has a suspiciously similar powertype to a Nazi super seen during the Battle of the Bulge (and disappeared shortly thereafter.  He played some high school football, but it never amounted to anything.

 

Blitzkrieg loves bulldozing his opponents "on a blitz".  He has a seemingly indestructible body, and refuses to wear any armor/helmets of any kind.  And often derides opponent armor-wearers as "unmanly" (not any of the NYRVB, though, at least not his defensive brethren).  He considers himself the "captain" of the defense**.   ANd feels a rivalry against QB  as in football the offense and defense should be at odds.  He'd never do it now, but if the team the NYRVB ever break up, he would love his defense to scrimmage the offense for all the glory.

Note:  about that Nazi super, no it wast his grandfather. The actual super is died during the battle.  Grandpa Blitzkrieg was a scientist on the project that developed him.  And his grandson found the notes to turn him into it, after his grandfather's funeral.  His grandfather was wanted after the war, but it is rumored he was overlooked in exchange for sharing information with the American government about the Nazi supersoldier experiments, apparently he kept at least one secret to his grave...

No. I just needed a position on the team to use as the last one.

 

The Defensive Tackle on the team is Ceaser. He is greeted by all and sundry with 'Hail Ceaser !'. He is one of the first on the defense to get in and fight the good guys. He also can be trusted to calm things down on his own side and on the opposition's side by restraining people. He can and will put himself into harm's way so that he would be hit rather than anyone else. Of the group he is the most happy go lucky one and perhaps the most obedient. Why he is a villain then is anyone's guess but it is said that he joined with one of the others and that they 'brought him down to their level'. If so he is not complaining. He can move fast and is strong but it is hard to tell who is the strongest in this group.

 

We need at least a Defensive End and then the Cornerback.

The defensive end is a mysterious man called Armored Soul. He appears to be an animated football uniform with nothing inside it. This is not exactly true. The ghost of former teammate Armored Wall is inside the uniform. When he was alive, he used his armored football uniform to protect himself and his teammates. He was killed in battle, but refused to leave, taking resident in his spare uniform. He can do some ghostly things (like go through earth to tackle someone, or animate inanimate objects by 'possession'). And as an undead, is hard to put down. His only weakness? He can be temporarily exercised from his uniform, if one knows the ways to do it.

Nickle Back

 

Daniel Ryan Kroeger is a former minor Canadian football League player. he got kicked out due to his abusive violent behavior and his some shady business deals. it was after his disgrace while working as muscle for the Albertian mob that he acquired the mysterious hobo Nickle that lets him transform his body into living nickel-iron  he took the opportunity to join the NYVNB. he is not popular with the rest of the team he is acerbic rude takes credit for things he had nothing to do with hits on other members girlfriends (even mothers) and just generally makes life miserable basically Everyone hates NICKLEBACK

the Strong Safety is Mitch Buchannon. To the disgust of the NFL, the CFL and all law abiding (American) football players and fans everywhere he uses the name of the position he occupies. And yes he gets a lot of stick about that name. Whether he actually goes enraged at a Hasselhoff, Baywatch or Pamela Anderson jibe has yet top be confirmed. What is known for certain is that he has a knack for catching projectiles and returning them to sender. It is one thing when it is bullets or arrows but quite another when it is a car or a hero launched in a fastball special. Indeed a few of the law enforcement community have come to dread hearing 'I've got 'im' possibly followed by 'Here, Catch !'.

 

at most we have a dimeback, a free safety and THEN the cornerback to do. Or the Cornerback can be next followed by a selection for a new team.
