Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Atomus, Master of Energy, scourge of mankind ! Destiny's chosen one ! Time and again he fought teams and individual heroes, was imprisoned, escaped and tried again. Time and again he fought at the sides of others only to be defeated. Time and again he set out to conquer the world. Until one hero managed to neutralise his power and shrink him. Imprisoned and basically powerless for 20 years, all but forgotten. Appeals based on his rights were ignored or rejected as he had set himself above everyone one else so what did he expect ?

Shiva and Akira broke him out of prison and Catharsis managed to restore his power which was linked to his shrunken size.

he agreed to joins the masters but does not know Mood Master manipulated his emotional state to calm him down and make him agreeable. He also found out various of his co-workers over the years betrayed him and mocked him behind his back. So he shares common ground with Shiva.

Atomus is not that keen on Canaan but the others keep the two seperate.

Dragon Hand. One of the most formidable martial artists on the planet. Imprisoned by the Chinese allegedly since the 1950s, he should have been an old man but still appears relatively middle aged between 30 and 40. Anytime he is asked his name he replies 'Names are for Tombstones, baby'. His martial arts prowess extends to being able to dodge a firing squad using automatic weapons and his escapology skill is second to none. And yet it was not enough. Oh sure the cult that grew around him was beneficial but he got bored. Until The Masters showed up. Akira had mentioned the number 8 was lucky to the Chinese and that got the rest thinking, what could supplement our group ? A martial artist.

Akira and Shiva had heard rumours of Dragon Hand but both Catharsis and Atomus confirmed he was real.

Dragon Hand asked simply what they wanted. 'We're going to take over the world and we want you in the group' was the reply.

And finally the light dawned, a worthy challenge. Dragon Hand accepted.

He is sympathetic to Akira's desire to destroy the Yakuza and the Mafia. He is fascinated by Tome. He refers to Catharsis as Q and Canaan as Oddjob. He thinks that Shiva should have a cat preferably an all white one.

He has a fascination with James Bond and has all the films but also all sorts of memorabilia. He also quotes from the films from all the characters.

He appears Chinese, speaks English, French, Japanese and all the Chinese Languages.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The rogue who now calls himself Nederakke is a member of the Mashatucket Pequot tribe, the same tribe who currently own and run Foxwoods Casino in CT. He was accused of embezzling profits from the casino by tribal elders. However, evidence was circumstantial and the charges couldn't be sustained. Still, this didn't prevent the tribal elders from banishing Nederakke from their territory (just in case). Nederakke took the news of exile with only a smile and left New England...

...three days later, his chief accuser was dead. In what was thought to be a car accident, it was soon discovered that the break lines had been cut. And Nederakke was nowhere to be found.

Nederakke has luck -- INSANE amounts of luck backing him. No matter what he does, he almost always succeeds in what he wants to do. However, the few times when he fails, he fails HARD. Nederakke has noticed that if he personally takes the risk to kill someone, he can keep the bad luck away (Unluck creeps a d6 per month if he goes without taking a life). When he attempts to kill a victim, luck (neither good nor bad) must never play a part -- he must rely on his own skill and cunning. He loves the thrill in working with the People -- and the wealth he has backing him helps fund their crimes.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Apache Joe

His true name is lost in history to all but him. Joe was a Chiracahua Apache turned Army scout. In 1886, he was one of the scouts who helped stop Geronimo. The day after Geronimo's surrender, he had an awful dream. The spirits invaded his dream they said "For you betrayal of your own people, you shall be cursed to live until the white man is gone from your land".

This dream understandably put him in a bit of a frantic state. He deserted not knowing what to do. Many days later the army tracked him down and in a gunfight a bullet tore through Joe's chest.

Then he had the same dream. He woke up alone in the desert. Traveling on foot he tried to make it to water. He collapsed from dehydration. That same damn dream again! He awoke reenergized and made it to water the next day.

Through the years he has "died" a few times again, but always has that dream and reawakes. He has spent a great deal of time since 1886 living alone in the wilderness, he hasnt seemed to have aged a day since that first dream. Looking perpetually in his late 20s. And at various times he has tried to fight the white man in various ways. Currently, he has become a wee bit obsessed with the idea of superviruses.

Abilities? Well, he isnt really superpowered except for his ability to return from death. That and an extremely odd ability to escape incarceration "magically". Whether he wants to escape or not. (apparently, those spirits who cursed him are not satisfied with him in jails.) But, he is an expert with many weapons various knives, the bow, a six-shooter (his weapon of choice) and an old-style Winchester (his #2 weapon of choice). Also a great horse rider, and tracker. He also knows a little about driving WW2 tanks (he briefly tried to assimilate into 20 century life at that time, and joined the army as a tank driver but the dreams started in earnest again, and he eventually deserted in France and made his way back to the States through still unknown means). He often has a death wish in battle. Odd things happen though, bullets and attacks on target still seem to miss him mysteriously. And even if it kills him. He'll just have that dream, and rise again the next day. Still he hopes this time he wont wake up.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Thomas Screaming Hawk is a Comanche whose parents, and grandparents, and great-grandparents, never forgave the white man for "centuries of malice" against the Comanche Nation. Among the mistreatments he cites are the introduction of smallpox, measles, and cholera to his people -- he claims it was intentional biological warfare -- and the habitual, almost pathological breaking of treaties between the US and the Comanches.

Thomas Screaming Hawk is a very angry young man.

A few years ago, he discovered that he can call on the spirits of his long-dead ancestors to rise and ride in battle against his foes. Dozens of spirits seem to rise from the ground, most on ghostly horses, wielding bows and rifles against their targets. Somewhere between them and their targets, the arrows and bullets become substantial, striking with deadly force. Though insubstantial, the spirits seem to take damage from attacks against them, falling from their horses and then disappearing like wisps of smoke.

The spirits will also protect Thomas, leaping in front of attacks against him, and he can direct them to do less lethal things, such as scout areas. If Thomas is taken out of the fight (either by being rendered unconscious or simply leaving the area) the spirits will fade away.

The spirits are actually psionic and psychokinetic projections from Thomas, not actual ghosts, and can be represented as Images (with a very good penalty to others' PER), Force Field, Clairsentience, and various Indirect attacks. He does not realize what they really are, and will insist they are actual ghosts.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

At his emergence simply called Shaman, he eventually took on the name Powhatan to represent his feelings on the pain of the first white man, and took the name of the first to "suffer" by the Englishman. He is a master of many tribal spells and mystical abilities. Having traveled among the medicine men of many different tribes throughout the States. It has not been revealed which tribe he actually does belong to. Little is truly known about him. Though it does seem likely that he is at least partly responsible in helping to form the group.

ABilities: Massively diverse. He has learned something from dozens of medicine men, from almost as many tribes. He can "skinwalk" and take the form of any animal. However, he has learned to do it by thought rather than the need to use the pelt of the animal he desires to use. Which can be effective, to instantly turn into say, a cougar to slash incoming heroes. He has a limited ability to "channel the spirits to see into the future". He alone seems to know the true nature of Screaming Hawk's power. THough, he doesnt mention it as he thinks maybe it gives comfort to the young man to have his tribe's "ghosts" help. And more important-motivation. He also seems to have limited telepathy. And rumors have it he can fly (levitate?) for a handful of minutes at a time. And more than likely who knows a 100 other spells that are too numerous to list.

Goals: He would like to unite all the tribes of America into a war against the whites. Feeling the fall, of the Native American was because the tribes couldnt unite under one massive force to fight as one. And rather was picked off tribe by tribe over the generations.

Note: Went with Powhatan after the Jamestown colony. Given it was the first successful English colony.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Cheyenne Autumn is the only name of a woman that the FBI has listed. Supposedly of Cheyenne descent she always seems to leave the reservations and head to where the Cheyenne used to spend their lives before the coming of the White Man. She refuses to talk to the White Man and remarkably her finger prints have changed, on one occasion twice whilst in custody. The police and the FBI had to keep her in prison after the deaths of several White Men who was alledged by members of the Sioux community had stated 'they were going to teach the Squaw a lesson she would not forget and prove how inadequate the Red Man was...' No evidence was found linking her to the deaths which seem animal related included trampling, throat torn out by teeth and claw marks causing massive blood loss. So eventually she had to be let go. She takes a dim view of violence towards other Indian women regardless of nation.

Her own people say she is looking for a sign. Recently some say she saw it.

Able to appear and disappear at will in the wilds and to track for miles Cheyenne Autumn is thought to be dangerous but how dangerous is not yet calculated.

The People tried to contact Coyote for help, but the old trickster either wasn't listening or didn't care. Who they got instead was Rattlesnake, or at least that's the claim. Rattlesnake generally appears as a man or woman of Dakota heritage, switching human forms by a rather disturbing process of shedding its skin. It can also turn into a 8-foot-long rattler, summon and control any rattlesnakes in the vicinity, and switch between haemotoxic and neurotoxic venoms at will. While Rattlesnake is very good at stealth and concealment outside of combat, it cannot strike without issuing its distinctive challenge.

Rattlesnake cares little for the People's cause, and has no particular grudge against any group of humans. It's just here to kill those that oppose its allies.

And that's six. Any more?

Everything has a manitou. Rocks, trees, machines, people, spirits naturally. Everything has one. And if you know how to grab that manitou, know how to twist it, know how to take it apart and put it back together, you can do anything to anything. You might be a feared shaman, a physical god, a lost hero come back to life.

You might be ten year old Billy Two Trees, who knows more than he should, and scares everyone around him except those who don't know he can grab their manitou and twist it like a bedsheet in a hurricane.

Steel Warrior is John O'Malley. Despite his clearly Irish name, only his paternal line is from Europe, back to his great-great grandfather; the rest of his ancestry is Lakota.

Always an excellent student, John earned a full scholarship at MIT, and... well, to make a long story short, has recently built for himself a battlesuit, patterned in appearance after that of traditional Lakota warriors.

John is an active member of the Lakota secessionist movement, which believes that the Lakota and their allied First Peoples Nations have the right to their own territory independent of the United States.

He sees himself as a hero for his people, and is actually helpful to the authorities (at least, those on the Reservation) during blizzards and other natural crises. He doesn't even fully trust the rest of the Peoples, but allies himself with them for mostly political reasons.

Next group: The Living Weapons. Six killers based on/inspired the six weapons in the Parker Brothers game Clue (rope, wrench, candlestick, lead pipe, revolver, and knife). That should be the group's only whimsical element, though; they should be bloody, violent, frightening assassins and mass murderers, bound together by their love for wanton violence.

Note: if someone wants to include the horseshoe and the poison from the Master Detective game (aka Super Cluedo), then go ahead -- if the other six aren't all in place, and the next group hasn't been named.

Thugee is devoted to the dark goddess Kali and follows her evil tenets in all ways. Which means, his preferred assassination method is strangling victims with the rope. He is a master of disguise and can be quite charming. He especially prefers disguising himself in more "helpful" roles like priests and doctors if at all possible (he can BS theology with the best/worst of them and knows enough medical jargon to sound believable). As a more insidious power, he knows the infamous "rope trick" of the fakirs, using it as a way to teleport into a private "pocket dimension" to hide and escape in. Sometimes, he'll even take his smaller victims there...

Dr. John Wax is a master arson investigator. He knows more about the causes of fire than any other man in the field. He consults on numerous cases as an expert, and witness for the prosecution.

As the Candle, he is a master arsonist. His candlestick allows him to set some of the best fires in the world. Leaving behind some of the enchanted wax from his mystic weapon even allows him time to set up an alibi for the fire that's about to happen.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

They call him Blade. He's average height and weight but he moves with a feline grace. His hair is dark and cut shory but not Marine short. And he has a malicious smile when he hlolds his signature weapon. He uses a knife but any knife will do provided it is sharp. He has killed someone with a penknife. He circles his prey and doesn't speak even when in custody. He'll shrug and smile so you know that he understands you. He doesn't have a phone.

The police and FBI have him on wanted lists for stabbing people to death. He seems to think he is an artist so usually one stab wound is enough, to the throat or to the heart. He did kill a journalist who questioned his sexuality and morals in an article. The film of them tied up while Blade made cut after cut so they died the 'Death of a Thousand Cuts' is really quite sickening. He also stabbed a 10 year old in the stomach and watched them bleed to death which was caught on CCTV, and this is what got the police and FBI determined to get him.

He is also a master at throwing a knife. Paradoxically he will not use guns or anything larger than a knife (like a sword) or anything else as a thrown weapon.

He kills for money but also more disturbingly he'll knife people while trying to escape to ensure pursuers have to get the victim to hospital.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Joey and Danny Gambino always wanted to be "made" men, and both worked very hard to make names for themselves as hit-men for the Donello family. They were doing very well, racking up the kills, when a rival Donello hit man planted evidence that came *very* close to getting both Gambinos arrested, and also strongly implied they were working for another family. Now on the run from both the police and the mob, the Gambinos joined The Living Weapons both for their own protection as well as to hone their skills in preparation for getting revenge.

Before losing their place in the mob, each had over twenty successful hits to his name. All of Joey's hits were performed with his bare hands or a blunt instrument. (Joey has his own code of "ethics" and eschews guns, believing that something as intimate as killing someone should always be done face-to-face.) Because of this, he has gotten treatments from some shady doctors that enhanced both his strength and resistance to damage. His favorite disguise is as a building maintenance worker, and his preferred weapon is a heavy steel wrench. Because of this, he has taken the nom de guerre of The Mechanic.

Danny has less objections to killing from a distance (he's a bit of a coward with a cruel streak) and perfers to use poison on his targets. He has a wide range of poisons at his disposal, some of which are rather exotic and painful. His favorite disguises are as a chef or waiter. He goes by the name The Waiter, both for the latter disguise as well as his habit of sticking around to see his target's death.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Lucky Lou is a compulsive gambler who has had the fortune (or misfortune) to locate a powerful mystical horseshoe one day at the local racetrack. (The horseshoe is rumored to have come from the mount jointly owned by the Greek goddesses Tyche and Nemesis, but there is no proof of this.) This object grants the bearer incredible luck, but also twists the bearer's mind over prolonged contact and use. After enduring decades of bad luck, Lou is never out of contact with the horseshoe -- he even showers with it -- so he has become quite cruel and sadistic as a result.

As one of The Living Weapons, Lou has beaten several people to death with the horseshoe, relying on his unbelievable good fortune to both turn aside attacks against him, as well as exploit the smallest chink in an opponent's defenses.

Needless to say, the horseshoe has made Lou a very, very wealthy man, and allows The Living Weapons to be one of the better financed criminal groups out there.

I guess that just leaves the lead pipe and the revolver.

Quinton Del McGraw has always had a fast hand with a gun. He says he inherited the talent from his father, grandfather, and their fathers. They were all famous bandits in their day, tangling with the Black Masks through history.

Quinton would like to match their reputation but so far he's still at the bottom of the totem pole. He knows with some luck, hard work, and straight shooting, he could be the next Quick Draw to make it big.

Piper has the voice of an angel and a body to match. Too bad she also has a raging case of misandry and paranoia, thinking all men are looking to attack and violate her. She knows how to set a man's mind at ease, luring them into letting down their guard (alcohol helps, of course). And then, when they least expect it, she brains them with the piece of lead pipe she always carries in her purse.

Lil Devin has two sides. One is the quiet mousy girl, student, and borderline recluse. The other is the flashy party girl who gets her way before vanishing into the night. They argue over goals and means, but both want something different out of life than what they have now.

Joining Psirens has allowed Lil to use her telepathy and empathy to get what she wants. Too bad she also has to deal with PSI as a consequence

That just brings the Rush out of her.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Shaniqua Chell was a very homely little girl, and took a lot of stick for that, especially from boys. When puberty hit, she didn't really get any prettier, but she did bloom in other ways. Most notably, she discovered that she was able to make other people see her as she wasn't. She still saw an ugly, gangly teenager in the mirror, but she could make the other kids see the sexy bombshell Shaniqua wanted to be, or a boy, or a teacher, or even erase her presence altogether and be invisible. The effect also extended to whatever she wore or carried, but no further.

Pranks and petty crime soothed Shaniqua's wounded pride at first, but all too soon high school was over, and she had to think about supporting herself, and petty crime doesn't pay well. Then she happened to see a news story about a powerful politician having to resign because he'd been caught in an affair. Shaniqua did some research, took acting lessons, and came up with a plan. Even the wealthiest and most powerful men had women (or men) they wanted to have sex with, but couldn't for reasons of illegality or the other person just not liking them. Shaniqua would become their Dream Date and lover.

Shaniqua does the research to find out her target's fantasy, then uses her considerable acting and charm skills to sell her illusory appearance to him. (By this point, she could easily seduce men even with her subpar real appearance, but she's on a roll.) Once she's got a sucker hooked, Dream Date milks the relationship for all it's worth. Eventually, the bloom will fade from the romance, and Dream Date moves on to the final stage. Sometimes she is "kidnapped" for a huge ransom, other times it's blackmail--a couple of the worst men she's just arranged for them to go to jail.

The other Psirens help her out with parts of her scams (especially the end game) and in return, she aids them with their schemes. Shaniqua doesn't hate men, as such, but her work brings her into contact with some of the worst slimeballs around, and her modus operandi is based on exploiting their lust, so she has never developed a high opinion of them.

Shaniqua's three favorite illusions besides her "Dream Date" sexiness are 1) Invisibility, 2) "I'm a policeman", and 3) hideous demon "who is the true form of Dream Date"--if she is convincing enough in that last role, her claws and flame breath can do actual damage.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Secrets. Everybody has them. And everybody hides them... but not from Confession. Nor can they maintain that secret, if Confession decides to push the right buttons.

This mean-spirited young woman was once a shy, mousy teen named Jessica Andry who had a crush on Blake Brewer, star quarterback and the hottest guy in school. Jessica knew she had no chance with Brewer, but she made the mistake of telling a friend about her dreams of dating Brewer -- within earshot of one of Brewer's football buddies. Soon word was all over school. The harshest part was probably the announcement over the high school's PA system, and the laughter that followed her for days afterward.

Unfortunately for her classmates at Parker High, this incident triggered the activation of Jessica's latent telepathic talents. She was suddenly able to tap into the surface thoughts of those around her, and with a little concentration could work her way into an individual's memories. She could even break past the toughest mental blocks with only a slight effort. At first, she had thought her friend betrayed her, but it didn't take long to discover that wasn't the case. She soon identified who was really at fault and delved into his mind to find his most embarassing secret. Knowing and betraying that secret would have bad enough, but Jessica found that she could compel Danny Thompson to reveal it himself. Over the PA system. To the entire school.

Not content with that revenge, she did the same to many others at the school. By the time her graduation rolled around, fully a fourth of the students had dropped out of school entirely and five of the students had committed suicide. Jessica felt no remorse whatsoever. She hadn't forced her classmates to commit whatever shameful acts they had been hiding. All she had done was bring those acts into the light.

Since then, Jessica (now calling herself Confession) has taken great delight in learning the deepest, darkest secrets of anybody unlucky enough to cross her path. Many of those secrets are relatively innocuous and hardly worth the bother of forcing that person to proclaim to all and sundry. But some secrets are juicy, too juicy to keep hidden. Those are the secrets that Confession lives for, the ones that cause deep personal shame in the people holding the secrets, and even deeper pain when they reveal those secrets to their family, friends, and associates.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Tabby Miller was once idealistic, looking to see the good in other people and willing to support any social cause, especially when it came to LGBT issues. Being bisexual, she thought she had a good understanding of the hurt and harassment she and others suffered. Occasionally, she was tempted to "nudge" homophobic figures like politicians and priests into embarrassing situations, but usually she spent her time more honestly when it came to her psychic powers. The only time Tabby would nudge was in cases where a politician was "on the fence" when it came to ratifying a law that was pro-LGBT.

And then there was Lars.

Lars was handsome, intelligent and charismatic. Tabby felt very attracted to him, but kept her feelings to herself, knowing he wasn't interested in women. However, one day, he took the opportunity to publicly degrade lesbians and bisexual women, calling them "sluts, posers and attention whores who ruin The Cause!" (Lars didn't believe men could truly be bisexual either, seeing them just in deep denial to being gay). Lars targeted Tabby in particular in his tirade. This caused Tabby to snap. Everything she had done for the cause she deeply believed in and she was STILL considered unworthy and subhuman?! Well, she'd fix Lars...she'd fix them ALL!

Fixer targets gay men specifically. Initially, she went after the more misogynist gay men and make them be slavishly attracted to her, but now she doesn't care. In fact, she now prefers going after the ones in committed relationships -- just to break them utterly. She's also now more likely to "nudge" male public figures into gay sexual scandals so she can self-righteously claim she hasn't abandoned "The Cause". She's given up her idealism for narcissism and there may come a point where Fixer will treat her female relationships just as callously as well.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Susan Miller was not your typical teenage girl. Relatively popular with the hip crowd she also got on with the lowly. But as she got older she was paralysed by headaches of extreme severity. So she missed school as her condition was looked into. However whenever she came back she seemed to catch up and then the headaches would begin again. After the latest cause of treatment one of the hospital governors made a move on her and she told him to 'just go away'. He did, he just did not stop.

The incident puzzled Susan who returned to school. Overhearing the nerd crowd talking about Spiderman and Superman she decided to test whether she had mind control powers. She phrased what she said in outrageous tones so that no-one who heard her would take her seriously. But nothing happened so she tried subtlety. She suggested that people should dance to a particular piece of music during lunch and very soon most of the year was dancing. Although when they finished the people who started really could not say why they had done it. Susan had ensured she was one of the first to start dancing o no-one really thought anything of it. Before she could really start experimenting with her power the Govt picked her up. The 'nice man' told her that she was one of a group of people who were experimented on and that she would now serve her country. He also told her that he was immune to her suggestive powers. So Susan asked 'what about this one ?' and trapped him in a maze in his own mind. She then used minor suggestive powers to get out, find out what records they had of her, destroy them and then flee.

Susan spent a few years doing small time jobs for the Underworld while testing the extent of her powers. She worked out it was a dog eat dog world and that men were the exploiters particularly of vunerable women. She also saw what law enforcement would do to anyone who got in their way. She managed to escape dragnets whilst finding drugs that kept her headaches under control. she also worked out that she could 'push' her power into a psychic flash that would drop people but would also leave her all but catatonic.

Eventually she picked up precognition and founded the Psirens by suddenly appearing to each of them and offering help. She is exploiting the others but is extremely careful of this. The others know of her psychic flash power and more importantly the precognition which keeps them all one stop ahead of the law and as Susan points out the Govt. Susan is also the one with the contacts which helps when the Psirens need to vanish in plain sight.

Susan uses the name Dominator when she can be bothered to use a codename. She sees what the others are and keeps the thought to herself 'There but for the Grace of God go I'

Susan has made a point of telling Confession that if she tries her power on the others then she will get hurt as she will do it and if she doesn't one of the others will as 'she saw it in a vision'. She has also asked Fixer to keep any affairs she has outside the group as 'it will end badly for you especially'. Susan does not like what Fixer can do and once passed her an envelope listing what she did to one target that was above and beyond what the person deserved. It proved to Tabby if she tried anything the others would stop her.

Susan fears being stuck in a lab the subject of the same people who gave her powers. She has become adept at disguise and even managed to change fingerprints.

Officially she is a missing person as none of her her old class know what happened but one Govt department is hunting down the missing woman after a very peculiar incident.

New Team: Doctor Infernus the Master of Evil Magic has been shut up in a sanitorium. His latest idea is to band together with five other masterminds to take over the world. Then he worked out that five was the optimum number for Pentagram of Terror ! And he would not be part of it. Your mission should you choose to accept it is tell us about the people Dr Infernus selected. None of them have Evil Magic powers or are Demonic/Devilish. They are all Masterminds in their own right and would most likely try and take each other apart rather than join forces much like Mechanon and Dr Destroyer did.

Are all of the five also locked in the same sanitarium as Doctor Infernus?

"They said I was mad! MAD!" Nathan Fargus paused as he considered the psychologist seated across from him, then smiled. "Of course, they were correct. With my vast intellectual potential squandered while I sit locked in this madhouse, who wouldn't be at least a bit angry?"

Dr. Enton tried to meet Fargus' gaze, but the crazed engineer's eyes and smile were slightly unnerving, so the psychologist decided to scribble some notes instead. "Let's go on to your alternate identity. I believe you called yourself The Supplier. Is there any reason for this beyond the obvious?"

"Of course," said Fargus, "but I don't believe I will share it with you at this time." He glanced at his watch. "Speaking of which, I believe our session is almost over."

Dr. Enton frowned. "No, we still have over fourty minutes."

Fargus grinned, and there was no "slightly" about it -- his face was downright creepy-looking. "You are mistaken. We have just under a minute. Most specifically, you have just under a minute." There was a distant rumbling, and Enton could feel the vibration through his chair. Fargus' grin got even wider. "I suggest you make your peace with whichever god you worship." At this, Fargus got out of his chair and sat on the floor, his back to the front of the desk.

There were a quick series of additional rumbles, this time much closer, and the whole room shook. Enton could hear screaming coming from outside his office, and sirens far in the distance. He was standing and reaching for his phone when the wall directly behind him exploded. He was thrown over the desk and across the room, smashing into the far wall and landing like a rag doll on the floor.

Two battlesuited men flew through the hole in the wall and landed to either side of the pulverized oak desk. Fargus stood and smiled at them. "Your timing was perfect, boys." One of his minions handed the brilliant engineer a briefcase, from which he began removing various devices and placing them about his body, while the other stood guard at the door. "I take it the other explosions I heard were a distraction?"

"You got it, boss. Baker figured it would help us get you out with minimal danger."

"It also means some of the crazed individuals locked away here will likely escape." He looked thoughtful for a moment. "I wonder if Infernus anticipated that possibility when he first contacted me." Fargus shrugged, then pushed a button to start his force field. "No matter. We should depart before the authorities bring their full forces to bear." A mental command activated the anti-gravity harness, and Supplier and his forces flew out through the hole in the wall.

The Supplier is a brilliant, twisted engineer who supplies men and equipment to many other supervillains and criminal agencies. What many do not know is that he keeps the best for himself, building a relatively small but impressive power base. He is almost never without various gadgets and doo-dads, and if a superhero encounter is likely, may even outfit himself in a high-tech battlesuit of his own design. But his true power is his minions, some of whom wield enough power to qualify as low-level supers.
