Watching Dynamite, and now Jericho getting a title shot with Moxley. Hope they don't give him title, but I bet will cause rift with Moxley and Kingston somehow, like Jericho willl get win because of Kingston interference.

I don't think they will, if only because Mox vs CM Punk to reunify the titles is a big money match and AEW likely knows it.  What I'm hoping is that Kingston interference causes Jericho to lose, resulting in Kingston and Jericho facing off again with Kingston FINALLY getting his revenge on Jericho and the JAS disbanding.  Guys like Daniel Garcia don't really need Jericho after all, they can make it on their own.

I was more thinking Kingston interference causes Jericho to get a disqualification win, so Moxley loses but keeps title. I agree on CMPunk and Moxley. Saddest part, I really enjoy, most the time, Jericho in the booth with Taz and the gang. I like that AEW's Heel announcers (Taz, Jericho, they had Ricky Starks sitting in a while with them) announce like Heels, ie yes shortcuts are fine, but they also analyze like veteran wrestlers and give props when they are due. So different then the old "I didn't see anything" style of announcing.

By the Way, anyone know the status of Kenny Omega? I haven't even seen Adam Cole recently.

The Undisputed Elite are coming back next week apparently.  Should that be true then you'll see Adam Cole again.

Several of the internet wrestling shows have mentioned that Kenny Omega might return in time for All Out or Full Gear. C M Punk's injury is a shattered foot and so that will take more time to mend.

I believe that the JAS gives wrestlers a certain higher profile that they might not get otherwise. With what happened with Sammy and Ms Conti not getting over as faces it makes sense to have them work with Chris again.

And now Hook now has the FTW belt which Ricky cannot really complain against.

The Hook/Ricky thing was great. Ricky offering the fist bump at the end was perfect when you remember Hook is Taz's son and was part of their group for awhile. I actually do not find Danhausen funny or entertaining, but mainly because I don't believe he is a very good wrestler and they don't sell his "curse" power. He could have been like the hypnotic character from the One and Only (Henry Winkler) but have chosen not to sell it. I like Hook and think he will seriously go over. I love that "he doesn't get paid by the minute" style and crushes fodder. I really think he could fill a Hitman style role - best technical wrestler.

I don't think we have seen the ending fallout from the original story yet, much more to come I suspect.

I think my biggest problem right now is that I follow AEW and NJPW a lot and am getting a little tired of seeing former WWE guys/gals coming in to huge pushes while people who have been with them from the beginning seem to be getting pushed down the ladder. I get that is the business, but damn.

  • 2 weeks later...

So Kenny Omega returned in a trios match with the Bucks the other night and he looked like a guy who has been out almost a year and really wasn't ready to come back, problem is, I think they needed him. You could see him, after he barely got the 1 winged angel on Dragon Lee for the win thanking Lee for helping him and letting him win, which showed a lot of class, though he tried not to make it too obvious.

Were El Igalo and Rush known in mexico for taking guys masks? prior to them being in AEW I didnt know anything about them, but now they have gone after Pente's, Phoenix's and Lee's.

I am on the horns of a dilemma -- AEW is coming to Cleveland tomorrow w/Punk-Moxley as the main event.  There are still tickets available, hubby wants to go -- but not by himself.

We're still in the midst of a plague.

And Cleveland wrestling fans tend to run on the toxic side.  When ROH was still touring, I could tell you of the horror stories I had of attending events while Female.  Same with certain indy shows (AIW).  (hell, Cleveland sports fans overall tend to run on the toxic side)

So I have discomfort here, but also that Fear Of Missing Out.

I just watched the Punk/Mox match. wow, that was surprising. Hmmm, reports are that Punk isn't hurt, that Punk will win rematch at the PPV and Mox wanted this match so he could get win over Punk prior to dropping titles to Punk. Makes sense, as Moxley has been the real torchbearer for AEW for a long time, especially with Kenny out so long.

Funny, I had just been wondering what happened to MJF. Not surprised by Punk beating Moxley, since that was why they had Mox smash him a week ago.

The Elite were going to win those belts as soon as Kenny came back

All those retentions were expected, though I might have seen JAS take Hooks title.

Storm winning makes sense as now you set up her and Rosa when Rosa is healthy.

I am shocked by Cage beating Jungle Boy. They have been working very hard for over a year now building up JB as a solo wrestler. Not having seen, I assume isn't a clean win, really hoping isnt because of interference by Luchasaurus, especially on Cage's side.

Also surprised by Hobbs beating Starks.

And Danielson seems to becoming the guy to lose/give a great match to someone. Jericho needs to stop beating people they are trying to give pushes too.

First, glad they gave trios titles to Death Triangle. Lucha Bros deserve it, I have yet to see a match of theirs that was not the top or close to it on any show they have been on.

The trios and world champion titles had to be vacated. if they had only vacated the world championship, would have shown too much favoritism.

MJF coming out and then showing hasn't changed was great went on his rant before he left I actually agreed with him regarding the ex WWE people coming in and being pushed over wrestlers who had stuck with company from beginning. I suspect Moxley will end up with Title (loved his speech) and a feud with MJF. I also had figured Danielson to win so he can continue the feud with Jericho.

I should have added, hated that Luchasaurus attacked Jungle Boy. Hate the lifelong friend turns on partner bit. Way back my friend and I used to go to WCW, and one such was a buckhouse stampede that the final 2 guys were the Road Warriors. So rather then fight, they flipped a coin and Hawk jumped over the rope (was funny back in those days to see the RW wrestle the Barbarian and The Warlord and realize Hawk was the small guy in the match). The crowd went nuts. When AEW had Lucha backup JB vs Christian, I was thrilled. How about having friends actually stick by each other.

On another note, mentioned before, but I would watch Ray Fenix wrestle a rag doll. Followed him since Lucha Underground and really love his matches.
