phoenix240
I need a few low end C-lister type villains that would work in the Colorado area, particularly around Denver, canon, Champions U. or homebrew are fine and I don't need full character sheets. Capsules or even suggestions are fine. Thank you!
Comic
Not that they're particularly fitting, or particularly C-listers without tweaking, but I always thought Los Asesinos had a bit of a Colorado vibe about them. Of course, NORAD's got that base under a mountain in Colorado, too, so depends on what sort of military entanglements you want. Good luck. phoenix240
There was something about the Asesino's that never quite clicked with me. I guess they seemed a little random and off beat. They had sort of a horror them going, I suppose. Hm, maybe if I shuffle some of the members it might work...

Grailknight
How about a buffalo themed Brick/speedster partnered with an air/cold based blaster, a marijuana themed mentalist and a gun themed survivalist.
TheQuestionMan
Mythological - Native American Heroes, Spanish Colonials, etc... Urban Myth - ("Abandoned/Closed") Military Bases, Mutant or Animal-Human Hybrid Rocky Mountain Goat wearing Colorado State Tartan. Historical - Native Americans, Frontiersmen, and etc... Hmmm... Lord Liaden
From the official CU roster, the vampire Stalker (Champions Villains Vol. 3) was born in Wyoming in 1852, and as a vampire has hunted across the southern United States for over a century. I could see him getting nostalgic for his old stomping grounds. Any of the canon supervillains who escaped from Stronghold in 2009 could have headed north from New Mexico and ended up in Denver. "C-listers" from that breakout include: Alchemica, Arrowhead, Esper, Galeforce, Stiletto, and Wildeye (all from CV 3). A few notes about the above: Esper was captured by the local Denver superhero team, the Alliance, before being sent to Stronghold, so might want revenge. Arrowhead and Stiletto became friends in Stronghold and have talked of forming the core of their own villain team. Alchemica might consider a legitimate job in the Denver area, using her transformative powers to help clean up the radioactive contamination from the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant. Grimble
Of course, he doesn't grow to anywhere near a mile in height, but Mile High is a villain with an ego twice as big. He's a not so dumb brick with growth.
BoloOfEarth
Given that I like theme teams, how about a C-list team who named themselves after cities in Colorado and mostly work solo but work together (rarely all at once) for larger crimes. They are: The aforementioned Colorado Springs. Aspen, an eco-terrorist who can animate trees and plants to attack whomever is nearby. Aurora, a woman who can hypnotize people with her light powers Boulder, a low-level brick with earth control powers whose signature move is to pull rock from the ground, surrounding himself with a rocky shell and rolling over people. Golden, a thief with a gun that entangles people with a gold-like coating. Has an extremely well-trained dog (a golden retriever, naturally) that helps with his crimes Loveland, an empath who embraces the phrase, "make love, not war". She goes postal if anybody even mentions Linda Lovelace. Pueblo, a Native American mystic Vail, a snow-controller with a chip on his shoulder because his mutant powers kept him out of Olympic skiing competition [Edit to add] Media wags have named the team the Mile High Club, and the name has unfortunately stuck. freakboy6117
one more BUD Bud liked weed originally just smoking it and then he got into growing it well before Colorado legalized personal use bud was heavily into the marijuana scene. that was until one day, when his grow op was raided by the DEA .some of the others where just not chill and there was a gun fight and that off brand fertilizer some one had acquired from some underground lab or something turned out to be really really flammable. Bud was sleeping off a few to many bong hits under the grow lights when the fire engulfed the room.Bud should have died in the resulting inferno but some combination of Buds genetics, the weird chemicals produced by the illegal fertilizers, and the potent weed left him a changed man Bud emerged from the flames half man half cannabis. his powers allow him to exude a powerful miasma that while calm people down and make them sleepy with direct contact he can pretty much knock people straight out or make them much nicer(healing effects have been reported too). the process also made him a lot tougher . he is also bright green with dark green hair. he mostly worked as muscle for the cannabis trade until medical marijuana was legalized when he went semi legit working to protect dispensaries from both criminal and legal foes before finally going legit after legalization but it wouldn't take much to turn him back to the criminal side a friend in trouble or mind control might easily sway him. personality wise Bud is a stereotypical stoner very laid back un hurried and mellow, he doesn't want to start a fight and only wants everyone else to calm down and find a peaceful resolution
