Had to look up penne rosa, but it would certainly be better than any lasagna.  Lasagna always cooks unevenly and gets those super tough burnt edges and impenetrable top layer of burnt cheese, while retaining a nuclear hot core that invariably burns my tongue.

well, I have solved the hot core issue, when needed.  My mother has a tendency (due to obsession with avoiding parasites) to cook at high temps.  I've on occasion, put the food that refuses to cool in the freezer for 30 seconds.  Cools just enough.

Granola, shredded wheat is better, but it shreds my sphincter on the way out.
