This group are being pretty predictable at this point, sadly. I'd love to see Iran stun Portugal and advance, but that seems quite unlikely. Stoppage-time goals in both games bring Iran-Portugal to 1-1 (Iran with the late pk) and Spain-Morocco to 2-2 (Spain with the late goal), bringing today's play to a complete no-op in terms of changing the group standings and the ideal of booting one of the Iberian powerhouses out of the tournament. The Peruvians did the two Europeans the favor of stopping the Australians' only chances; had the Aussies won big, the 0-0 would look like collaboration between the Europeans to hold the antipodal upstarts out of the knockout stage. They just said on the TV the four holders in the last five cups have gone out in group stage. It happened to France and now it has happened to Germany. Spain should beat Russia Croatia vs Denmark is the wild card The last two matches will be interesting as Belgium and England will face Japan or Senegal or Colombia.
