  1. Re: who is it? yeah that would be the guy. The tin foil bird helmet guy. I was wondering because I saw him flash up their for a second when the images flipped. The reason I asked is that I'm writing the back ground for a new super universe im going to use if I can ever find a champions group. I'm trying to make characters who might have traits that people will be familiar with from other hero's but are differant enough that people dont shout clone. Another thing im trying to do is keep my characters as far away from published Superhero game characters as I can. This is because I want to place the entire thing up on the net when I get a good portion of it done.
  2. Re: who is it? probably i have no clue I dont have the CU stuff yet so aome of those characters that pop up on the left arent familiar. Thanks though.

    who is it?

Whats the name of the character that looks like a Moon Knight inspired character, except with metal appliances and a big bird head on his hood.
  4. Re: Your Favorite Useless Power A new take on the extra dimensional movement with extra time. EDM (1 minute into the past) extra time 1 minute.
  5. Re: Speeding Up The Game On the stun lottery thing with the KA's i dont see why you dont just reverse the stun and body counting. Example: Normal attacks Stun The amount rolled equals the amount of stun Body Count all rolls that are 1 as 0 and 2-5 as 1 and 6's as 2 total this up for the body result Killing attacks Body The amount rolled on the dice equals the amount of body Stun Count all rolls that are 1 as 0 and 2-5 as 1 and 6's as 2 total this up Roll 1d6-1 multiply this result by the amount you gained from the roll and you have your Stun total. This method means you will never get a stun result higher then the amount for an equal DC normal attack unless you buy an increased Stun multiple. It also makes the Stun much lower which means normal attacks are now king of Stun again. Another effect is that it will make the killing attack a little more balanced in comparison to the normal attack. This is mainly because normal pd and ed doesnt protect against killing damage except in stun and thats only if you have at least a little resistant defences. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do like the idea of telling players to decide their actions before their turn is up. I would be a bit more lenient then just saying you lose your turn though but thats just me. I would let them know i dont expect to sit more then 2 or 3 minutes while they decide. You might think about rewards for people who do actually give you their characters actions promptly. Say a reduction on any penalties incurred by the attack by say 1 point. hope this post made a bit of sense.
  6. Re: Need a hand with a power hmmmmmmmm DesolidificationUAA + InvisibilityUAA + Effects Desolid Entangle all linked and on 1 continuing charge for 1 hour. Thats if you want to simulate sending someone forward in time and the Gm wont allow EDM UAA. This however would be freakishly expensive.
  7. Re: New to this Genre Use cover. You dont need alot of ammo if you can shoot accurately. Kevlar is your friend. Always remember 7.62 nato is considered to be armor peircing. Always get in the last shot.
  8. Re: Superleap UAA??? I think you mean ballistic energy as in a bigger weight being thrown at the a particular speed has more energy then one thats lighter thrown at that speed. Your right density increase shouldnt protect against a reverse gravity attack but I do still think knockback resistance should. But then again that would also be up to what the gm felt is reasonable.
  9. Re: "You're not a REAL Hero!" I also said that doing the decent thing is the basis of heroism. Im sure the 911 terrorists where heroes to someone. That Does Not make them heroes in my eyes. Even though they certainly "risked or sacrificed his or her life" , and to some it seemed that destroying the twin towers and its deathtoll was "Of a size or scale that is larger than life" Heroism has to be based on something more then being big and flashy or risking ones life. The arguement used against mentalists, shrinkers, and summoners (that they arent on the front line and dont risk their lives the way a tank does) could be used the same way against people in the military such as Artillary, Scouts, or Air Support. Even those these fields have probably saved the lives of many soldiers. Its not cynicism to see little things as heroics in every day life. To only see heroics in the grand and the glorious devalues the little decent things people do.
  10. Re: "You're not a REAL Hero!" Basically differances in personal perspective. You have yours I have mine.
  11. Re: "You're not a REAL Hero!" Human being arent born decent we are genetically predisposed to being cruel, evil, greedy, and destructive. It takes a better person then your average human to be just decent. Hero's are just people who do decent things when their better judgement tells them not to. If i where the guy who lost my wallet and someone walked up and gave it back to me yes id consider that person as much a hero as anyone other hero. Being a decent human being is the basis of heroism.
  12. Re: Body, Only to Allow Continued Action Just make it stun and body.
  13. Re: "You're not a REAL Hero!" I think any hero who would worry about what others thought of him because of his powers or how he uses his powers are not Hero's theyre publicity hounds. Basically what im saying is who cares what other people think about the powers your character has if you choose to fight crime or evil or stupidity then your as much a hero as any of them. A hero isnt marked by being a person who puts himself into risk for something or someone. a hero is the person who chooses to do the right thing rather then just minding his own business and walking away. Risk has nothing to do with heroism people just think it does and thats why we see less and less heroes nowadays.
  14. Re: Superleap UAA??? Id make it so knockback resistance, strength by virtue of grabbing scenery, and clinging have an effect on the Flying/leaping UAA. That way you cover alot of ground have the KBR effect it inch per inch the stregth effect it 2 or 3 str to inch and clinging strength point per inch. This seems equitable to me and still make the flight/leaping UAA still viable. Handle the grab scenery as an abort action like dive for cover. The handle clinging effect if its active and let Knockback resistance be automatic cuz i dont see a guy with density increase getting flung as far as someone who weighed a normal weight.

    Mad Max

Re: Mad Max One reason that mad max worked as a movie was the fact that australia has a limited number of firearms escpecially pistols. American post apocolyptic genre's would be a bit differant (they would probably degenerate into shoot the guy with the cans of food). Some countries would because very hostile like russia which has a glut of surplus and trade firearms that would be appropriated for use by surviving armies ( it would probably degenerate into enclaves controlled by fueding warlords). Japan has so few firearms in the country that they would almost be unheard of and the amunition to use then would dry up quickly (thats why Fist of the North Star had martial artists running around). Post apocalyptic society would be differant depending on where you are. If you wanted to make a mad max type setting you would definately have to use australia or africa large scrub desert, few firearms, and limited gasoline all things mad max had
  16. Re: Superleap UAA??? So far no ones mentioned clinging and the effect of UAA movement powers.
