Re: Harry Dresden One of my players is doing a Harry Dresden homage in my long-delayed HCPD 13th District campaign. One of the things I am having trouble modeling is Harry's difficulties with modern equipment, especially anything electronic. Apparently, his magic aura causes electronics to fry in his presence, unless he takes special precautions. I'm thinking this is a Dispel Electronics sort of effect, but I'm wondering if someone who is really familiar with the series can confirm I am on the right track.

Can a Power be linked to a Talent? The example I use is a Power construct linked to Danger Sense.

Re: Information for HERO/Champions Fans About The Champions Online MMO One thing that puzzles me about the whole Cryptic deal is why it's structured as a sale of the IP with a perpetual license back to DoJ. Why was it not done simply as a straight licensing deal? Champions is the crown jewel of DoJ's IPs, so it seems overly complex and unnecessary, unless I'm missing seeing something.

What are the plans for betatesting? Do long-time Hero forum members get any better chances at getting into the beta?

Re: Return To Doctor Han's Island (advice needed) I know it's a little late to pitch names, but what about Brigitte Lin? In 1983 she did the movie Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain. She tended to play tomboy/transgender roles in later movies, which sets her off a bit from Michelle Yeoh's style.

Re: FRPG Ideas from Hero that ain't necessarily so Discussed here. Back on topic, characteristic "efficiency" can be a problem in Hero Fantasy (as well as all other Heroic-level games). 14-15 DEX can be common, for example.

Re: The Super Darwin Awards The critical charts in Rolemaster/Spacemaster have given me as GM some quite vivid memories of character deaths. Not in the realm of Darwin Awards, but I remember once seeing a five foot tall female PC using Sweeps and Throws skill and pretty much shatter a man's innards by rolling well on a crit.

Re: The Super Darwin Awards I would imagine that would mean a character could earn more than one Darwin. You just have to die to earn one is my understanding. Coming back just gives the character more opportunities for extreme stupidity. There are also the Anti-Darwin characters. Those too tough to die.
