  1. Re: Anyone else hate Wolverine? Wouldn't Luna be the Harry Potter Mary Sue? Seems to be the character outlined to me by the tropes list of qualities.
  2. Re: Make Your Own Motivational Poster One of my own:
  3. Its for a possible Champions campaign during WWII but I figured I might be more likely to get an answer here- I was wondering what kind of standard gear a military super would be expected to be provided with? All answers appreciated.
  4. Re: Naming the first superhero Always meaning to get around to my Superman-esque homage, have always planned on calling him Paragon.
  5. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Sisters of Mercy by Leonard Cohen.
  6. Re: Photographic Reflexes Reason I would still do it as VPP is simple- a starting character will be able to acquire new skills faster than points and to buy everything individually A LOT of points would be needed , even for a more experienced character it would be way too costly- Taskmaster, if made on seperate skills would be over 1000 points easy, even if you did much of his abilities through super skill MP or something like that.

    Jinks

Re: Jinks Flutter- An apparent escaped mental patient in his late teens or very early twenties, he is mute (whether physically or due to psychological trauma is unknown) and he can telepathically speak with the birds of the city or see through their eyes. Unknown if he can fly, as no one has ever witnessed it, but is often seen perching high up on buildings or in other pparently unaccessible places. Lives on the streets as part of a group of Jink youngsters that protect each other. Bioject- Always covered in thick layers of clothing to cover the tumor-like growths on heer body, each of which is a sac containing various chemical agents that her body produces, including poisons, paralyzing nerve agents, a powerful regurgitant, etc. She is able to spit/exhale some of these chemicals in liguid or mist form while others are injected into targets via hollow tooth-like fingernails. Lives on streets with Flutter.

    Jinks

Re: Jinks Cole- Jinktown firefighter, when exposed to fire his skin burns to a flakey black consistency but then he can absorb or redirect the flames- will remain black and sooty afterwards until all the charcoalized skin flakes off within a few hours, looking fresh and pink underneath.
  10. Re: First 6Th Ed Brick With a Body of 12 he seems more like a cardboard box than a brick but ymmv.
  11. Re: Photographic Reflexes Actually done in the 5th and 6th edition powers books as a VPP with special GM permission required.
  12. Re: Bygone Champions - Early Editions Whoa, whoa, whoa- found the issues of the comics with Marksman, Icestar, Giant, Demon members and Morbanes as well as another fan created character called Powerhouse- alas, I have not a scanner.
  13. Re: Defender's origin Or, you could go another route- James Harmon IV is the family's dark secret- a Harmon who went bad , becoming a supervillain and this led to the "rewriting" of the family history to make it seem that James V was the son of James III to protect the family from their shame...
  14. Re: Miss Fortune (5th Ed) You could change the Super Lucky power to "Luckier than you and all of your friends."
  15. Re: Storn Idea to full picture Year 7 Okay, this was a character I actually played back in Vancouver in Michael Nenonen's superhero game at that time: Dr. Zeus- a slightly off kilter flying, lightning throwing hero who wears a toga, a Cat in the Hat- hat, and also: one shoe/two shoe red shoe/blue shoe Man, he was fun to play...
  16. Re: Comic Writers and Artist: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly! Artists- Good: Todd Nuack and Mike Weiringo (RIP), cause i like an internally consistent and fun style. Artist-Bad: Steve Uy, cannot believe that he was ever paid to draw a comic, let alone more than one- otherwise loved the Initiative but his art was so bad it almost turned me off the whole series (niot just the issues he drew, which I flat-out would not buy). Artists-Ugly: Yeah, this will upset a few people but George Perez- fantastic artist but all the costume design sense of a blind man that uses an etch a sketch to design his costumes. The man managed to make the Scarlet Witch look horrid with his costume redesign, seems to have some bizarre fascination with yellow banded strips, and whose design of Nightwing's costume was thankfully later redone so as not to make me want to throw Dick Grayson down a flight of stair chained into a wheelchair. Writer-Good: Dan Slott, consistently a good read. Writer-Bad: Geofff Johns, always makes me want to throw HIm down a flight of stairs. Writer-Ugly: Josh Whedon- love the Buffy and Firefly was incredible but his run on X-men was in its own ways worse than Scott Lobdell's who was just consistently bad. I expect dreck from Lbdell but I had high hopee for Whedon that were dashed after burning the one copy of his X-men run that I could force myself to buy.
  17. Re: My First Hero System Character: Bluebird Uh, don't have 6th so this may have changed but you appear to have a 100 active point power (entangling Ice blast) in a 60 point MP reserve- this would be incorrect under 5th, has this changed?
  18. Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game [Jack]"Well, if you gotta go, I always say go with a smile..."[/Jack]
  19. Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game Thank you Doc, your generosity is appreciated but it will be a shame if you never come back to the game- far fewer true heroes on CoH than I am happy with. Anyways, thank you for the boots and experience.
  20. Re: Villain Archetypes? Classics like Brain in a Tank should show up, maybe a Taskmaster-like Trainer of Henchmen type, Unstoppable Monster like Blue Demon from Gurps supers... that's all I have right now.
  21. Re: Where oh Where has Storn Gone? He's tied up in my basement until I develope Photographic reflexes and copy his artistic abilites:sneaky:
  22. Re: What if: Ironman vs. Bruce Lee Better question: 1969 Bruce Lee vs. 1969 Iron Man, who would win?
  23. Re: What if: Ironman vs. Bruce Lee Sadly, if Bendis was writing it, Tony's armor would contain footage of every punch or kick Bruce ever threw, even those that occured before Tony was born and the armor was invented, thus resulting in Bruce taking a whole 2 minutes to kick his candy @ss!
  24. Re: How do you build 'Swarm' (marvel villain) Vuln: x2 Body/Stun vs. cold and Susc: 1d6 Drain to Dex/Spd per phase in smoke (uncommon)?
