  1. Sounds very comic book to me. If there were no sign of Eurostar the police wouldn't know they were involved. Then a tip to the police could lead to the "terrorist" Vanguard. The other problems that would be based on their Disads. If any of them had code vs killing there would be a bit of trouble in the group. Even if they don't the thought of a hero killing innocents, those commiting no crimes, or the willful destruction of property shouldn't be allowed. AS a GM I would have done something similiar
  2. Why I Haven't picked it up yet is simple, no funds=no fun. As for the others concerns 1) PDF - Owning a bublejet printing it is a bad idea. Kinko is EXTREMELY expensive. Louckly for my my boss has a laser and has has said I can use it just buy the ink. 2) Price - Does seem a bit high 3) Playtesters - As a playtester the PDF file I see has nothing to do with me purchasing it. The final produc is much different than the PDF. I choose the produces I purchase stricly on their use to me as a GM or Player. 4) Need - I base my decission to purchase a module , PDF or otherwise on rather I need it and will use it. If I don't see the use I don't see putting out the money on it. I do plan on getting it sooner or later, I like BP and have used him quite often. I would say I'm sure there are other products that have came out that aren't selling as well as others. I think the only the SOB has against it is to many people prefer hard copy to PDF and hate PDFs.
  3. If you purchase a power that allows you to use yuur str and range, thus allowing you to swing and hit someone a couple inches away, would it work combine with MA maneuvers or would you need to increase the cost for that?
  4. Well I can agree on the prices of games now and disagree at the same time. DOJ's games are running 25-32 bucks a game, while other companies are staying around 25. However, DOJs page counts are much higher for your money. When you factor in that the price of just about everything is gonna up they really are quite fair. It's just in the day and time you have to be picky on what you purchase. I haven't picked up CBG and doubt that I will for sometime. Between the cashflow and the fact that were gearing up a FH campaign it's just not up there on the Priority list. However, Viper will be a pick up regardless. They've been my favorite villain group since forever and doubt that will change. So there are books on the schedule that I know going in I won't be picking up, not a knock on the quality just usefulness to me as the GM. There are others I will be getting and I haven't seen the final product or the PT's PDF yet. I just know based on the discription that it's something I need. That coupled with the continuing, IMHO, rising quality of DOJs books, I will be getting them. I will say I would purchased the maps as a PDF from CBG. If for know other reason than maps are always a good thing to have.
  5. Sure can never have to much stuff
  6. Mine in no particular order Mindgames Viper Classic Organizations. Had many favorites of mine, Demon, Clown, Neutral Ground
  7. I have the entire run of AC, as far as I know anyway. There are some good Champions run as well as some Fantasy Hero runs. I ran one of the MERP runs in the back for FH this last weekend. It worked out well.
  8. I've started a Western Shores campaign. I have the outline on my website. I've set some limits and so far everyone is enjoying themselves. The rules are changing a bit here and there now that they have XP to spend but not to much has change since the begininng

    Free Adventure

Not a problem Thanks for the run Keteton, just so happens the run this weekend ended with them having to clean out a sub-basement of a tower for a NPC. Now I don't have to go looking for the complex

    Free Adventure

Here ya go. I printed them out using the writer's guidlines. Hope that's cool with you Keneton
  11. True but in FH the sword is equipment and therefor the Aid wouldn't work. It would only be able to increase powers purchased.
  12. I use a combo of the Western shores and FR. I use Waterdeep, Ravensbluff, Myth Drannor(Only reachable by a hidden gate), Anarouch and of course Undermountain. I plan on adding in Z-Keep and a few others here and there. I also use an old module called the Free City Of Haven & Moria. All these with the write of of the Western Shores in the old Fantasy Hero gives me quite a bit to work with.
  13. These sites have several deck plans for Traveller ships http://homepage.mac.com/vutpakdi/Traveller_Deck_Plans/Menu8.html http://www.perkworks.com/traveller/CC2.html
  14. I interesting question was raised about buying life support for intense heat and if that would stop a dragons breath or not. Seems a little cheap for such a gain but does start one's gears a grinding
  15. Nice work! I have a few issues here or there, but over all seems very well done and thought out
  16. Great Work. These will make wonderful maps to use. Only suggestion I have is maybe making a zip file or files of the images to download.
  17. Ok Several of the players I have a re use to D&D. They expect monsters to attack multiple times in a round. SO the question is do you give monsters higher spds to reflect this?
  18. I'm running a modified verson of the Western Shores from the old FH. So far noone has tried to venture opf the map to see what is beyond, but time will tell.

    VPPS

I had planned on limiting the number of spells known. It seemed a good answer to the fact the a VPP are extrememly expensive to buy with a descent size pool. Granted they work great for cantrips a such, but causes problems for a mage needing a offensive & defensive power going at the same time.
  20. I've thought of running a campaign where humans were xtremely rare. Elves, Dqarfs and such were all over the place but no humans to speak of. Then of course I also started to get into a bit of a race war in my cmapaigns as well.

    VPPS

Well actually modified it a bit since I posted it. 1)No spell can be over the Base pool in Active or Real cost. 2)A character can buy a perk:Spell Adept for 3 points. This allows him to have double the Active cost of the pool working at one time.
  22. To me it seems that alot of it is the fact that a player coming from D&D. They are use to a mage in a set way and have a bit of a time grasping a different method.

    VPPS

I was thinking of allow VPPS to run at double the pool for the Active Points. So a Mage who sets up a pool pf 20 pts would be able to have upto 40 Active points in spells running at one time. There would different requirements on spells and such to help keep mages in check. I was wondering what other GMS thought of this method.
  24. I plan on using the Western Shores from the old FH, awesome background, and adding in a couple cities and sites I created when I was running my Forgotten realms world. Basically I use Waterdeep & Undermountain and a old module called Freecity of Haven along with Ravensbluff. Then mix in a couple of othe sites and some NPCs and bamf, insta-campaign
  25. I have anything magical use mana, spells, items doesn't matter, all take a -1/2 limitation requires mana. There are places in my campaign that mana is gone and therefor magic doesn't work. The caster still use END to maniupulate the mana to the desired effect. Of course using an item doesn't use mana unless there is str envolved
