  1. Those guys were nasty. I think the team brick Durak was the slowest one and he had a dexterity of 23 and speed of 5.
  2. Looking at my copy just recently. Has anyone tried running a campaign?
  3. So what about the rebellion itself? Will there be more information on them? I would love to try this game some day.
  4. Re: DC and Marvel: What Makes Them Different? I agree that the Champions Universe is more like Marvel than DC, a good thing IMO. BTW, which universe do you prefer? The fourth edition one or the fifth?
  5. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Heh. Favorite scene from the Wedding Singer.
  6. Re: DC and Marvel: What Makes Them Different? A comic book reviewer that I like to watch at times summed it up like this. DC has heroes that you look up to, Marvel has heroes that you can relate to. Marvel has always been more adult to me than DC because their characters are more human than DC.
  7. Re: The Powerpuff Women (or "Grown Up in Townsville") Nice artwork.
  8. Re: Teen Ice / Cold based Character Needed Check out the Icicle character from Champions 4th Edition. She is basically that.
  9. Hi, I am planning to attend GaryCon this coming march and I wanted to run the Legion Of Heroes adventure the Metallosphere project. However I do not see anymore reference to the Legion of Heroes or the file in question. Is it still possible to get a hold of this scenario? I think I still have the document in question but in case i don't I would like to get it. Thank you for all your help.
  10. Re: Cool characters from goofy concepts What is up with all the Dazzler hate? I mean it's not like she's the only type of character to be based off a fad. Nobody's bitching about Power Man and Iron Fist.
  11. Re: Cool characters from goofy concepts I HATED what they did to him in the Civil War story line. I thought it was terrible.
  12. Re: The Dunwich Horror Family reunions must have been interesting. Can you try doing some of the heroes as well?
  13. Re: Combat Ready? He sent it to me. Since I don't have the book he got it from I didn't know about it. is in the dark champions book page 91, It is for my lock-picking skill so I don't get penalties in stressful situations. COMBATREADY As noted on page 61, sometimes trying to use certain Skills in combat conditions, or other highstress crisis situations, imposes a -1 to -3 penalty on the Skill Roll. A character with this Talent does not suffer that diffi ulty; he knows how to keep his head and focus on the job at hand regardless of distractions. Characters must buy this Talent per Skill, unless the GM rules otherwise. ■ Combat-Ready Cost: 3 Character Points (bought as three 3-point Skill Levels with Noncombat Skills, Only To Counteract The Combat Conditions Penalty With A Specific Skill (-2)).
  14. One of my players just sent a rough draft of his Pulp Hero character that he created using Hero Designer V3. He looks alright except he has something called Combat Ready. I have looked in all my core rulebooks but I haven't found this one. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks Starblaze

  16. Re: Public vs. Secret Identity I remember a Superman story when a villain named Conduit had found out about Superman SI and used it against him. When the whole thing ended Superman was telling Lois that he was thinking of quitting the SI thing and just be Superman full time. So Lois tells Superman to go to a local donut shop and pick up some donuts and coffee. He quickly discovered that he can't even go into a regular place and just get some donut without alerting everyone. He needs an SI just to buy coffee.
  17. Re: Public vs. Secret Identity Don't forget that when it comes to Batman, Bruce Wayne is the secret ID and Batman is who he is.
  18. Re: Has anyone tried doing an Hyborian/Conan game using Fantasy Hero Cool. PM me the stuff so I can take a look at it.

  20. My favorite author of fantasy is Robert E Howard and I love Sword and Sorcery. I have played the Conan D20 game as well as Barbarians of Lemuria. I also have been a Hero System fan for years (since 1981), and I wouldn't mind trying out a Conan style game using Fantasy Hero. So has anyone done this? How did it turn out?
  21. Re: The One, True Son of Krypton Man that was a good episode. Can you access those online?
  22. Re: What would you do if you were a mutant? Yeah, I think it would really matter what kind of powers you had. Whether it is something quiet and unassuming or if it is something that makes you a freak or an outcast. If the power is not detectable then I would probably do something to improve my own life and then help others. If it is something that turns me into a freak then I would probably find others of my own kind or live in seclusion.
