Re: Brass knuckles and high strength characters I had a similar problem in a martial hero type game where the line "I don't want to kill him, let me break out my nunchaku" came from. So I house ruled that all normal damage weapons had thier damage halved then just added to the damage done by the hero.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... In 7th seas game I run on fridays one of the characters, Drago, had found a treasure map and had taken to hiding it in the front of his pants. Drago not understanding the first thing about navigation and maps grabs annother PC and takes him up to the room he has in the local inn and tells him, "Drago has big secret to show you" and reaches into the front of his pants. Took a few minutes to get anything going at all with all of us laughing. And yes I did give him a drama dice for entertaining us so.

Re: Ideas and advice for a Captain America Homage Actually take Ura-Maru's idea and turn it into a flying wing device similar to the green goblins. Flight, weapon systems you can add some interesting stuff to it and just buy it as a bunch of stuff through a focus.

At the same time she would help out as best she could probably staying in the backlines putting her medical skills to the best use. Either that or shape shifting herself into something sutibly cyborg like and sneaking in to bases for recon. Quantum Would demonstrate the folly of attacking someone with a 80 point Cosmic varriable pool. Then he'd start getting creative in dealing with robots. After that he'd clean up the world and then he'd open his own portal back home. Heaven's Sword Would ask the local scientists to help him get back home in exchange for him helping destroy the hordes of robots. Then he's start harvesting robot heads. Then the first time he met one of the "generals" he'd demonstrate the Heavens Graceful Steps (teleporting 40 inches accross the battlefield) and hit it with a HKA that resembles a small AT missile.

So I am getting ready to run a game and one of the players is trying to find a way to give his character and infinate number of duplicates a-la Multiple man. How would one stat this up and would one even allow it in thier game. (Currently the idea of infinite duplications gets a no from me)

Re: Damage Reduction Useally I find the best use of DR is for characters that have it vrs energy or physical not both. Example: Erg: is a absortion base Energy projector who has 75% R DR vrs energy because he absorbs 90% of the incomming energy and uses it to power his EBs. THis is the real use for DR, making someone very resistant to certain things

Re: That way lies only madness... Taking full IPE on some powers seems rather counter intuitive. Flight is pretty much always visible (look up in the sky!) However taking partial invisibility would be much more common (invisible to sound anyone?). Part of the job of a GM is to look at these things happening and make judgements on if that is appropriate or not. As far as the flying bit and visible if you are in the air with no visible means of support and can maintain it most people will go "Look he can fly" ergo it's visible.

Re: Batman VS Captain America! yeah right... Actually I see Daredevil and Batman hitting it off real well. Thier styles and methods are similar. They also both have a commitment to the regular folk of thier respective cities that would further tie them together. PErsonality wise I also think that GL:Kyle Rainer and Spiderman would hit it off. Kyle always struck me as the I can still laugh at the badguys kinda super and would probably mesh well with Spiderman's banter. (Power wise I expect spidey to get to the point of thinking "well I guess they don't need your friendly neighborhood Spiderman around here").

Re: Super City Too Tall Towers: Over a hundred stories tall, balconies everywhere and appartment square footage that many suburban houses fail to match. Not to mention small labratories and stair wells big enough for running/flying fights to take place in. And a support structure that is marvellously stable unless someone actually trys to damage it in which case it is only slightly stronger than wet cardboard.

I teach historical sword fighting and the group I belong to does ren faires and at the faires we do free intro lessons to anyone who wants one. Even using very light practice weapons (1 to 1 1/2 pounds) many children have issue making them work, not only because of leverage issues but also size issues (at 3 feet tall thier hands simply don't encompass enough of the hilt for good grip and control) {Edited for spelling errors}

Re: What Would Your Character Do #33 Lets see of the Heroes I've played recently. Snap Dragon: Being as her Grandfather is a Chinese River Dragon she's pretty sure she's got a soul and figures that wheter or not she's human she has a soul and thats good enough. Quantum: A scientist at heart he can't really tell one way or the other. THen again this whole soul thing is something he's not quite sure about.

Re: Sage writeing up a full hero for an NPC like that may or not be the best thing. Friendly NPCs like that sometimes become the "uber NPC" that takes care of the problems that the heroes cant and some PCs won't like it at all. Besides if you are using this character as an NPC just jot down the notes of what you need for her to do, a full write up might just be more work than you really need to do.

Re: TV Teen Titans As far as Robin being Dick or Tim I will give the 2 pieces of evidence that make me think that it is Dick. 1: In the episode that Starfire went forward in time Robin had become Nightwing which is Dick Grayson only. 2: In an episode where he starts flashing back to things he had experienced before one of the images is of a Circus trapeeze from the acrobats point of view.

Re: "To Protect and Annoy" I keep thinking of a leader like Die Fleduer mouse with better acting/people skills. He shows up and presence attacks the local news team into watching him and his team takes all the credit, speaks for the "hero community" and the like. Mostly he's using his superherioc ID to make money and score with the ladies. The brick of the team is a circus strongman type with most of his superhuman strength tied up in 5-10 times end cost and or extra time, making his super strength very impressive but completly useless in combat. The energy projector has these huge honking energy beams that he fires whenever there is a chance to show off his powers. His energy blasts really aren't that strong but they are so unfocused that there is alot of excess energy that just radiates so that it looks really impressive. The Gadgeteer has one problem, all of his inventions are like beta release software, (prone to spectacular breakdows, errors) but has a very nice packaging that makes his gadgets look sleek and impressive. The Martial artist is the one guy in the group who has real ability, the problem is that he is so honorable and gullible that every time a fight starts some villan manages to trick/ outwit him

Re: Eurostar : where will I find more details ? I always saw Mentalla as the "you bothered me you insect I'm gonna do something INTERESTING (cure minor chord) to you". Like taking the mid 40's clerk that delivered the subpeona and making him think he's a 15 year old school girl who monlights as a hooker then tries to get out of getting arrested by giving out a freebie. Feurmacher and Durak wouldn't do anything that interesting but I could see Scorpia making an origami knife out of the summons and then tourturing the deliverer with it. Fiacho would probably try to set things up so that the lawyer who files said papers was brough up on some sort of charges and arrested/convicted. Because he'd have a laugh at a lawyer getting shafted by the law. Ultrasonique would present an interesting issue since he's blind (or at least the last incarnation I remmeber) but I get such a chuckle of him taking the summons and then signing it "Keep on breaking the law, your favorite villan, Ultrasonique".
