    You're kinda describing Runequest, though, with a more down low style. You might look at the metric f-ton of free stuff for more ideas. I tend to give big eye popping gobs of treasure, then have taxes, bandits and relatives take it away. Sort of like the real world. Lol

    Well the follow up, broke one, cracked one. The dentist gave some silly song and dance, and in a week I will come back for a reconstruction, and a "bridge". All things considered, not to bad. Though my head is made out of broken glass and explosions till then. I do not seem to be sick, so wearing gloves, and using alchohol wipes did the trick (or I was lucky)

    It has been shocking. I am not a Browns fan, but they really did build their team the "right" way. With the Line (both O and D) then run, then do play action. Everything else can build off of that. The Browns are so far, a good team.😵

    Well, during a seizure I broke one or more teeth, so I will have to go to the dentist to get them pulled, or put back together. I am not looking forward to going outside . I gave up driving when I started having seizures, so I will have to take a cab. I am already thinking about the exposure. Dang 2020, can't yah just stop?

    Well, to a large degree it is a political problem, more than an engineering one. Even as a teen I thought of building Nuclear plants just to run carbon scrubbers, and fixers...but building Nukes to save the environment? Madness!! Planting trees is at least a start, and a macro=project like green sahara could do human good, and help the environment. Time will tell.

    When we found the Gate, we saw it as a Blessing, a way to open the stars to us. Instead it was a Curse, because it opened the Stars to us.... (cue opening theme music)

    If you go with Lovecraftian aliens, you get to do Kaiju vs Mecha, and you don't have to worry about scavenged tech changing things. The discovered alien tech could be from the last victims of the "Threat". (You don't say their name, it somehow attracts them).
