Years had passed, and Stanton's form of worship had grown. Indeed, those who tried to oppress this new cult by force found themselves often failing as the Believers of Stantonism not only fought them back, but counter attacked. In the name of the One Living God crusades began. Many of the City States of Gelmir  were at war with each other, so in other parts of the Infinite World Stantonism found itself growing unopposed to form an Empire elsewhere.

until finally, as Stanton and his army came upon the last resistance within what his empire, that followers of the old gods charged forward though it was a desperate last stand. One warrior, once much younger, holding a relic of Glory in his hand managed to close with Stanton himself. Stanton's powers were many, his defenses had spared him death time and time again. Yet this was not a killing blow, nor was it meant to be!

Instead, the blow struck Stanton, the One Living God, there was a flash of red fire that blinded all and when it cleared, there were TWO Stantons!!

Each one believing in his heart of hearts that he was the original, and the other an impostor!

"I am Stanton!" the one on the left cried! "To me against this pretender!"

"NO, I am Stanton" the one on the right demanded "Rally about me!"

For the two stantons could not stand each other! And each thought the other the greatest evil

And thus was a movement allowed to grow, to succeed and grow again, only so it could be turned on itself in a schism-War!  A War where this new faith broke in even halves and those halves fighting to the last to destroy each other!

And the moon, the great cage? It grew red.

All glory to the goddess of war, and tactics are indeed a part of same.

Aerobell smiled down to see her plans grow to fruition. Her sister might yet break  free, but not this century, perhaps not even this millennium. She had sacrificed tens of thousands to save millions. The God of Chaos might appreciate the irony of causing yet more chaos to check his monotheism, but who knew Brother Chaos' mood? The moon would fill red and strong. Would Truth out her orchestrations, or would Secrets work to conceal them? How would Darkness punish those who went to the Underworld believing in a false god? If at all?  Would she be hailed as a hero by those that knew, or a monster as mad as the wolf she called Sister?

Whatever was to come, she would deal with it then. For now, she had wars to over see.

Interference: There are two Stantons who are utterly opposed to each other and  locked in bitter schismatic warfare on a massive scale thus feeding the Moon and making the prison of Raya strong again.

Ah, I see I have one more option pick, and since Brother Chaos is doing a wonderful job of destroying all faith in the Gods, I have one chance to make a countermove.

Option: The Lodestone, a magical artifact buried beneath the ground in a secure location that allows direct communication with the Gods, most notably Gravitius, but he is not the only one on the receiving end.

I'm of the opinion there is little new under the sun, so I don't mind old tropes drug out, same plots re used IF you can do it with characters I like. Which means I actually LIKE most of the movies as Marvel has done very well with casting and writing for the most part. But if I had to put them in the order of 'my favorites' RIGHT Now..

    1) Captain America: First Avenger (I know that is not 'the best' but the bias is strong in this one, I like some periods, and come on! Star Spangled man with a plan!)
    2) Captain America Winter Soldier (Okay, this one possibly IS the Best)
    3) Avengers (For getting the band together, great cinematic touches...and Puny God!)
    4) Guardians of the Galaxy (Music, Mischief, Mayhem)
    5) Black Panther (honestly, it's just damn good. Shuri steals the show)
    6) Dr. Strange (One of my favorite characters, so bias.  But how he wins is so fitting for the character)
    7) Ant Man (Possibly because I did not set my bar high for this it wowed me. Still fun on repeated viewing)
8 ) Captain America Civil War (Should be higher I know)
    9)  Iron Man (Props to RDJ! )
    10) Ant Man and the Wasp (Still  fresh in my mind..Ignore the after credits and it is fun)
    11)  Thor Ragnarok (Would be further up but I didn't like the way the warriors three got blown off with little love)
    12)  Avengers Infinity War (AKA the Snapture)
    13) Spider Man: Home coming (Keaton has chops. Still a bit unused to Hot Aunt May)
    14) Iron Man 3 (Am I the only one who liked the kid? he cracked me up)
    15) Thor (Fantastic visuals, got kind of rushed at the end.)
    16) Thor: Dark World (Forget the villain and Jane, it's all about Loki and Thor interacting for me)
    17) Avengers Age of Ultron ( Another day it might be higher. I like a lot about it, but it's very forgetable until I 'm watching it again)
    18) Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (Ditto)
    19) Incredible Hulk (No gamma poodle thank god!)
    20)  Iron Man 2 (Both Villains failed for me)

"Master," I asked one day, "you have wisely gifted Tales to the people of the world, so that they may share their journeys with one another.  Yet tales are merely words and memories, that do not warm them, or protect them, or love them as they travel.  Would it not be better for the people to have an actual companion to journey with?"

"Of course," Vyago replied, scratching the back of my neck.  "That is why I created you."

As long as we're listing our favorites...

The Avengers (I could pick it apart on technicalities, but this one just hit the zenith of enjoyment for me) Captain America: The First Avenger (I love period pieces, unreservedly altruistic heroes, and Chris Evans as Cap. Plus, the one Marvel romance I buy with no reservations!) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (great political thriller with a side of superheroics) Avengers: Infinity War (most of what I want in cosmic superhero adventures) Black Panther (loved almost everything except the climactic fight, another thing it shared with Wonder Woman) Guardians of the Galaxy (great music and action-adventure marred only by a hopelessly stiff villain) Ant Man (Paul Rudd is just awesome; I liked almost everything except the cartoonish villain) Dr. Strange (worked magic into the MCU far better than I expected; Tilda Swinton was amazing) Thor: Ragnarok (so low because it hamstrung all its dramatic moments with bathos; would have taken my #1 spot if the whole movie were like the trailer) Captain America: Civil War (generally good, entertaining effort with significant narrative problems) Spider-Man: Homecoming (Tom Holland may be the best casting find Marvel has been blessed with) Iron Man Thor (A+ for production design and cinematography, C- for the lead performances) Ant Man & the Wasp (enjoyable, but not fond of 2 of the 3 sets of antagonists) Iron Man 3 Age of Ultron (you could see the seams where it was stitched together; Black Widow/Banner romance and Thor exposition made of WTF?) Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (some fun and funny moments, but forgettable) Incredible Hulk (should I send my notes to Edward Norton?) Thor: The Dark World (would have been much higher if Mjolnir had flown through Darcy at some point) Iron Man 2 (Black Widow was all I liked about this movie) Really only my top 4 and bottom 3 are solid though; the rest could shuffle easily depending on what mood I'm in. And I'd generally be happy to rewatch the first 17 on TV.

Oh, if you want direct rips, well, to make a long story short, a friend is very bummed about real world events in the political sector.

So to cheer her up, I ran her with a solo superhero thing where I had tweaked something about the universe by direct insert of a TV show she had only now seen but was really enjoying...

Her superheroine saves the day, wakes up in a top secret hospital, hears two voices talking about how she's great for the program, or is she? then...the President of the United States enters the room, shakes her hand and introduces himself

"I'm President Jed Bartlet, and I'd like you consider joining a program I'm restarting and improving for a superhero team under the auspices of the Executive Branch."

In short, in the gaming world I dropped her in, the West Wing TV show crew is currently in charge.
