  3. Re: "Hey! Look at me!" Bingo. Anything more is overthinking it.
  4. Re: Wunderwaffen!!! - Secret German Warmachines of WW 2 Sanger Antipodal Bomber "Silver Bird"
  5. Re: Patriotic Heroes Ah, the Justice Friends!
  6. Re: Desolidification, Always On... Except When It's NOT... I've hand-rolled it that way for decades. Nice to hear it's in the book.
  7. Re: Aging kids I agree. Age is a weak Disad.
  8. Re: Armored Bandit Chaser Sweet! I imagine the Keystone Cops piling into that thing. Here, here and here are some other photos of armored cars I posted awhile back.
  9. Re: Wunderwaffen!!! - Secret German Warmachines of WW 2 But did they look like one of those super-deformed cartoon characters? 'Cause that would have been funny.
  10. Re: Silliy Silver Age Villian High INT, high PRE, various skills, Nefarious Devices VPP, big base, massive Physical Limitations.
  11. Re: Wunderwaffen!!! - Secret German Warmachines of WW 2 Didn't the Japanese toy with a tank glider, too?
  12. Re: Spaceship Size... "Too big" is very milieu-specific. A size that's huge and slow in Star Wars might be nimble in B5 or Andromeda. The Nostromo's refinery in Alien was almost a mile long, but was serviced by a minimal crew. It really depends on how much cargo you want to carry. What you've described is not very big in terms of bulk cargo (like a small warehouse) but if you're dealing more with quality than quantity of goods, it ought to be sufficient.
  13. Re: Wunderwaffen!!! - Secret German Warmachines of WW 2 Mercury is excellent for making small-scale models of water-driven systems.
  14. Re: No ENDURANCE campaign Armor is Persistent.
  15. Re: Concepts you wish your players would play My understanding is that DC required a gorilla on the cover of one title in any given month. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of similar requirements for cheesecake pinup covers in the 90's.
  16. Re: Fantasy Hero 4e Companions IIRC, the first FHC was basically overflow from the 4E FH book. (Not a problem we have with 5E. )
  17. Re: 1930s Superboy and the 21st Century LSH Here's an idea: As Superboy has adventures in the 30's, Hitler takes note. He consults a magician (pick one; I don't know the DC universe myself) who tells him that Superman will help the Allies defeat Germany. The magician devises a villainous plot to lure Superboy to his secret base. The magician freezes Superboy in a block of ice, but not before Kal-El sets the base to self-destruct. The base is destroyed and Superboy is lost. Without Superboy to make him jealous and evil (if that's still in the continuity), Lex Luthor becomes America's greatest hero of WWII. After the war, Lex turns his supergenius toward creating the futuristic world of LSH. By 2006 we've got flying cars and the whole shmear. But old Lex, now a powerful icon, is giving in to his evil nature and taking over. The LSH cannot stop him. When they flee from his robots to the arctic, they find a young man frozen in an iceberg...
  18. Re: Metric Measurments If you gave me three firkins, you'd have me over a barrel.
  19. Re: Metric Measurments Well, a butt is equal to two hogsheads. A hogshead is equal to 63 gallons. So a buttload must be equal to 126 boatloads. Assuming we're talking about Spanish gallons here.
  20. Re: Clever use of illusion spell So, kind of like the Mask.
  21. Re: Re-Imaged X-men Nightcrawler looks a bit like he did in the film. He's got too many fingers, though.
  22. Re: Concepts you wish your players would play I had that same experience playing a (nearly) blind PC in a fantasy game. That's what got me thinking about how fun it would be to run a game with a blind PC. As a GM (and writer) I always challenge myself to engage all the senses. A blind PC would raise the stakes in a good way.
  23. Re: I think I broke Hero System. I thought the canon build of this was Xd6 Aid, 1/2 pts to Power Y and 1/2 pts to Aid.
