Answer to my Grab One Limb Question
Hi Steve, Just an FYI another player sent me a personal message that I belive answers my original question. the Chokehold manuever has a no STR add penalty for -2 points. This is to reflect you don't add dmg from STR to the NND. Seems to make sense.

Transmit Senses - expanded
Lets expand this a bit... Can this power transmit not just the character's voice and image but the sights and sounds around him or is this like discriminatory with sight where it has a partial effect? I.E. can you use HRRP to create the helmet cams in Aliens? a. If yes, then can the user use all the senses available to the character such as telescopic, clairsentience, IR, mental awareness, etc. Can you use HRRP to produce false images? To create fake news or alternative facts. Distorting a broadcast to make the heroes seem villainous. Replacing attack robots with defenseless people. Overlapping flash durations
Do flash effects 'stack' with each other or over-write each other with the greater effect? scenario 1: Strobe, speed 6, uses a flash attack against a mook on phase 4 and nets 6 body, flashing sight for the mook for six segments (until phase 10). On phase six he repeats the attack and gets 5 body. Is the mook still flashed until phase 10 from the first attack, flashed until segment 11 (6 plus the new flash), or does this damage 'add' to the result of the first flash (pushing the flash until phase 3 of the following round) Scenario 2: Strobe uses his Funky Chicken power - an Autofire 3 Flash attack - against a different mook. Telepathy and Alerting the Target
Hi Steve, First let me say Thank You for continually supporting the game and answering our questions. I don't think there are very many authors who do this and I want you to know that it is greatly appreciated. Now, of course, I have a question. If a Mentalist attacks a target with Telepathy and chooses to expand the effect by saying that he/she doesn't want the target to know (+20) is there a difference between the Level and the Effect? Example: Mindmaster (Telepathy 10d6) wants information from HeroGuy (EGO 18, Mental Defense 10) and uses Telepathy to read his mind. Mental Blast, Does BODY
If I have a 5D6 Mental Blast with the Advantage "Does BODY", does that mean: A. 5D6 STUN plus 5D6 BODY. If so, same 5D6 roll or separate 5D6 rolls? B. 5D6 STUN. 0 BODY for each "1" rolled, 1 BODY for each "2-5", 2 BODY for each "6". I think it's "B" based on 6E1 333, but I'm not 100%. Thanks Steve!

Grab One Limb MA Manuever Cost Discrepancy
Looking at the MA manuevers from the MA book I can't seem to replicate them for certain Grab Maneuvers, for instsnce: Choke Hold 4 points grab one limb, 2d6 nnd OCV -2 DCV 0 1/2 d6 nnd for first die 2 pts 1/2 d6 nnd for second die 4 pts Grab 3 pts Total Points before Neg 9 pts Grab One Limb -1 pts -2 OCV -2 pts Total per my calc 6 pts Total for the book 4 pts I am not sure what I am missing unless there is a condition giving a -2 to the cost, must take called shot to the neck. Time Limits and Cooldowns
Are these implemented in 6E? For example, I want a superhero with Multiform who can only hold his shape for one cumulative hour per day, then he has to get eight hours of sleep to be able to use it again. Should i just use the Charges Limitation and have them run out one per phase/segment, and have enough for only one hour's worth? I don't want it to be based on endurance, I still want him to stay transformed if he runs out of END. I looked through the book, and couldn't find anything.

Desolid, Usable As Attack
How much mass can be affected? Does it matter if the mass is animate or inanimmate? Can the maximum be increased? Would this power require, "Affects Desolid" to maintain?

Environmental Fire Damage Rate
Hello, in 6E2 pg 150 the details about damage for large fires in the environment gives the damage per 1m traveled in the fire, but what about just staying in the fire? In what rate is the damage applied? What about fast characters that could get out from the fire in little time despite traveling the whole distance? Thank you in advance!

Deflection and Autofire Rules
Is it allowed for a character to buy the Derflection power with an autofire advantage (3 shots) and how would that work: Does he get 3 chances (blocks) to stop a single ranged attack only or Can he attempt to block up to three ranged attacks and if so must the attacks be targeting the same location or nearby or could he block one attack 10m to the right, another 10 m to the left etc. or could he do either as the situation permits. Darkness vs. Mental Sense Group and Mind Scan
Hi Steve, Would a Darkness Field only affecting the Mental Sense Group be detectable by a character using Mind Scan? In other words, would the user of the Mind Scan Power automatically perceive the 'dead zone' if it were between/surrounding them and the 'target' of their scan? Thanks! HM

Hardened Defenses
Hi Steve, I am a bit confused with hardened defenses when it comes to Normal Attacks. If a character buys Resistant Protection with the Advantage Hardened does it protect vs. both Armor Piercing normal attacks as well as AP Killing Attacks? Example: Rock has Resistant Protection 20 PD/ED in addition to his normal 10 PD/ED. He buys Hardened on the Resistant Protection but not on his Normal PD/ED. In play he is attacked by Blade with a 3d6 AP Killing Attack and is able to apply his full resistant defense (20) against the Body of the attack. He is then attacked by Starling with a 10d6 AP Blast vs. ED. Does his Hardened Resistant Protection apply to the Stun…

How many times can you use a default constant power
For instance, if you had Darkness, which by default is constant, how many darkness fields can you create? Can you create as many as you want so long as you pay the end for each one?

barriers and feedback
Sorry, I might have asked this question a long time ago but I can't seem to find the errata/FAQ/questions answered on the website to search. If a barrier has body and feedback, does the character take damage if the damage doesn't pierce the body of the barrier? If a 12/12 Barrier with 12 Body takes 12 Body and 36 Stun, the barrier character would take 24 Stun. If the same barrier took 15 Body and 45 Stun, the Body of the barrier would take 3 Body. How much body and stun would the barrier character take?

Am I doing this right: Leaping
Character has 30m of leaping with x4 NCM and speed 5 Phase 3: He leaps 120m (roll to be accurate or scatter)' Phase 4: in air Phase 5: lands Phase 6 can leap again (using held action from phase 5) Second question In phase 5 could he attack when he lands (assuming all penalties for NCM)?

A Few easy combat questions
What is the modifier against a character facing away from his attacker? If an attacker is attempting a disarm against an offhand weapon and the defender does not have offhand defense, is there a penalty to his OCV to defend against the attempt to disarm? Is there a penalty to switch a melee weapon from off hand to primary hand? Like a -1 OCV in that round, or is it just a half phase action with no consequence. I cannot find this one in the rules, but I THOUGHT I remembered from an old edition that if you half moved and attacked you got a -1 OCV for that round. Or is that just me totally misremembering.

Holding your breath while moving
Quick clarification: 6e2 p130 states that a character who is holding their breath "expends a minimum of 1 END per Phase." Is this in addition to END costs from Movement, etc,? For example, if a character is holding their breath, and Swimming at a cost of 1 END per Phase, do they burn 1 END per Phase or 2 END? Thanks Steve.

Haymaker and extra limbs
If a brick with extra limbs has a target grabbed and begins a haymaker on them, and the brick suddenly finds himself falling or is otherwised moved but has not let go of the target, is the haymaker spoiled or can he continue the haymaker? Example: Grond grabs Defender and winds up a haymaker on Defender. Witchcraft teleports Grond from Millenium City to the Arizona desert and Defender goes with him. Does Grond complete his haymaker on poor Defender?

Clarification on Zero Phase Actions
Question: Can a character turn on a power (such as a self-adjustment power, or a defensive power) at the beginning of his Phase, half-move, then turn it off and turn on a different power prior to attacking or taking the other half-phase action? RAW seems to be unclear on this. Per RAW on 6e2 p18, "A character may perform as many Zero Phase Actions as he wishes at the beginning of a Phase or after performing a Half Phase Action, but not after performing an Attack Action or a Full Phase Action." The above would seem to suggest someone can perform as many power activations/deactivations as he wishes ... as long as it's at the beginning of a phase or after a half-phase…

The REC of an Endurance Reserve
Does the REC of an Endurance Reserve only effect the Reserve? Thus Does it recover STUN or BODY of an attack?

Can an attacker make a mental blast attack if his only targeting sense has been flashed? What effect does it have on the attack roll?
