Starlord
Need an interesting name for this obviously patriotic US hero. I'm thinking magic-shield-force-field-projecting type. PS: Are the stars too corny?

Chuckg
The stars are very reminiscent of the first Star-Spangled Kid.
Starlord
While I'm at it, how about this fellow? I'm thinking brick with Egyptian motif/power source.
Supreme Serpent
For second guy... Ankh Numidian Golden Ankh Golden Asp Professor Pyramid Captain Egypt Teth-Adam Pharaoh Horus Geb Sphinx
misterdeath
On guy 1: The costume looks like Captain Patriot in the CU. So, I'd probably end up making him a legacy hero and using the same name. I like the stars. On guy 2: Do you have an Ankh in your world? Seems simple and direct. Doug McCrae
Why don't you combine the two... American Ankh
Blue
Stars work for me. If the upper body was all blue it would be too plain. Patriot Missile Trooper Minute Man Blue Shield (Yeh, I know it's gold, but think of the endorsements!) As for #2, probably need an idea of what he does. An Ankh is a sign of life (death, immortality)...
Hermit
I like "Golden Ankh" for the second guy, but another good name might be "Ma'at".
DocMan
For the first guy... Shave his head (or bleach his hair white), and call him Bald Eagle. Can't come up with a name for the second guy without knowing a little more about him. Doc

Chromatic
#1 needs more stars on boots. Call him: The Star Spangled Shield #2 Needs one of those coolishly goof sideways ponytails off the side of his head. Maybe a ghetto-rapster beat background music, call him: Brutha Ankh. cue Barry White score..... who's the baddest cat around with that egyptian mystic sound? Brutha Ankh who's the man with the means to fry thug's brians clean? Brutha Ankh who's the dude the ladies adore, power oozing to the floor? Brutha Ankh! yeah baby, Brutha Ankh

Chromatic
Originally posted by misterdeath Um, that's Isaac Hayes who did the theme from Shaft. D Barry White recorded it too. I found more of his mp3's in a search than Isaac Hayes. Besides, White has a deeper voice more suitable for the Brutha Ankh.

And that, to me working in that field with those particular writers, Barry White wrote it, and that's not true. Isaac Hayes really wrote it, and gets the writer credit. So, I'm perhaps being pedantic. But, it's my job to make sure that the right writer gets paid for the right song... D
Intrope
For #2: Ra-man! Okay, that's cheesy--but at least he could make some cash plugging cheap noodles on late night TV Brother Ra might work. Egyptopimp is right out, though. Blue
The ankh is also the symbol of the soul (I think). Would that make him... Soul Brother?
