Mantis
Re: The cranky thread I was feeling good about finishing a reasonably challenging Uni assignment, then discovered that somewhere along the line a new version of the assignment had been posted to make it simpler. Which meant I had to start (almost) over again, and it is due tomorrow... (checks watch, notes early hour), er, today at 5.00 pm. As I'll be at work all day, that means I had to finish it before going to bed, which I shall now do. Luckily it was mostly deleting stuff from my SQL code, but it still took time and still had to be tested to make sure it still worked. Oh, well. I guess I can be happy with the thought that that is it for assignments for this semester, only two small tests to go, plus the obligatory exams. Off to bed now, at last. ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz............
Seanaci
Re: The cranky thread It's going to be one of those days. Between the pregnancy hormones, my out of control alleriges, and the grogginess from the Zyrtec...every little thing is getting on my last nerve. Even stupid little stuff. I need to go home and go back to bed.

lemming
Re: The cranky thread I had a weasel boss. Thankfully I'm being spun off into a different department and will see what type of boss I have there. But not before he screwed up my paycheck, yet again. Hermit
Re: The cranky thread I just saw Mulan II as a rerun on cable. "My first duty is to my heart" By all means, let's risk war out of selfish desires shall we? And during ancient China no less.... yes, those lucky peasants all get to marry for love...oh wait... uh, no they don't. Self Actualization courses by Disney, joy. Okay, I'm not THAT cranky about this, but jumping jack flash, it's a good thing the characters selfishness grants script immunity so they don't have to face the consequences of their actions. teh bunneh
Re: The cranky thread One of the guys here at work likes to whistle. Now, if you are outside working on your carbourator or laying sod, whistling while you work is fine. Encouraged, even. If you're in a small, enclosed office space... So if you're looking at the "News of the Weird" section in the next couple of days, and there's an article about a guy who was murdered by having an entire telephone shoved down his throat? Well... I admit to nothing.

SatinKitty
Re: The cranky thread OddHat's hand is in a lot of pain and has been for 3 weeks. Last night he couldn't even type. Yet, all he'll agree to do is see his semi-retired Doctor who is only in on Monday and Thursday. There is another Doctor in every day but he won't see her. I don't think the Doctor will do anything except refer him to a Hand Specialist or something. If he says to go to Temple Sports Medicine we will have wasted a trip, because OddHat will not go there. I could have sworn I made him an appointment for this morning, but I had looked at the wrong week on the calendar and made it for 6/11. Didn't realize it until now. Tried to get him in today but the Doctor is only there half the day and there are no appointments, so I got him in on Thursday. This bugs me. I swear, I'm losing my mind. SatinKitty
Re: The cranky thread OddHat is cranky because his left hand is badly sprained and he cannot type or lift weights. Therefore, he is very bored and cranky. He is mostly left-handed and only writes right because Teacher made him. His mouse hand is the left. He has it on the right at the moment. Please if you have time send OddHat interesting movie and Jpeg links. He is tired of his "The Shield" DVDs.

Klytus
Re: The cranky thread Tomorrow afternoon at 4PM EDT is my first meeting with the lawyer to get the process of my divorce well and truly under way. And as if this wasn't painful enough, not only are memories and feelings from growing up with divorced parents are coming out to play, but the sympathy-pangs of friends, loved ones and acquaintances who went through/are-now-enduring divorce are popping in for a visit. ::sighs:: And obviously, the emotional pain I'm dealing with just wasn't good enough, because I also have a physically-painful headache that is roaring like the 20's. Bugger.
