Guest Celt
Re: "Neat" Pictures The Kraken wakes: first images of giant squid filmed in deep ocean TOKYO (Reuters) - A Japanese-led team of scientists has captured on film the world's first live images of a giant squid, journeying to the depths of the ocean in search of the mysterious creature thought to have inspired the myth of the "kraken", a tentacled monster. The images of the silvery, three-metre (10 feet) long cephalopod, looming out of the darkness nearly 1 km below the surface, were taken last July near the Ogasawara islands, 1,000 km (620 miles) south of Tokyo. ... The key to their success, said Kubodera, was a small submersible rigged with lights invisible to both human and cephalopod eyes.

matrix3
Re: "Neat" Pictures I still don't think the reality show is good, and I don't like the child beauty pageants, but I now have some modicum of actual respect for this woman. Ternaugh
Re: "Neat" Pictures Lego Customer Service is truly the best. I've dealt with their representatives a few times to get replacement parts, and it's always been a positive experience. On a related note, they now have a database of instructions for 3300 of their sets online going back to 2002, and they allow the fansite Peeron to host scans of older instructions back to 1955 "by special permission". Nothing too exciting, just some bricks at cheaper than usual.
