Enforcer84
Okay, you knew it was going to happen. Anyone want to venture who the 10 best martial artists in the CU are? This one is less subjective because we have things such as "Point totals, rules of X, Caps on attacks/defense etc." That being said I only want 5th ed CU Martial artists that have been statted out and the obvious choice in in hotsleep in Australia. So who's next?
Hermit
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe I never bothered really looking at it that way, but I liked Nightwind from MC.
kave99
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe well i know you ruled out 4th ed but I've got a funny feeling that "the man with eye patch" might be on that list
Marketeer
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Criteria? Does anybody with a Martial Arts package count? Are they allowed to "cheat" with things like Superhuman Attributes or gadgets?
Enforcer84
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Criterea is that they have to be considered a Martial Artist. Nightwind has a MP for his abilities, not really a Martial arts package. I'd like to keep Characteristics to "Legendary" status. Gadget users are fine. Shugoshin qualifies, as does Nighthawk, Shadowdragon is in there but he's not all that great. Green Dragon? Sure.
assault
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe the obvious choice in in hotsleep in Australia. So who's next? What's that? Seeker's in hotsleep?

specks
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Besides the man with the eye patch and Nightwind, wouldn't Harbinger of Justice and Andres Panthanatos be in the top 10 as well? Dr. MID-Nite
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe How about Fiacho? Or Utility? They both seem like competant fighters. I for one WOULD include Nightwind. Though he does have some exceptional "chi" powers...most of his character is standard martial artist and his stats reflect that. kave99
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe i would have to yes to Fiacho and no to Utility perhaps the rules for the tournament of the dragon should apply to the criteria? Steve
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Well, if we include Galactic Champions, I would include Bulletproof and Charm. I would also add Scorpia and Cateran to that list. Scorpia worked really well as a Dark Champions crossover character for a solo campaign I ran for a friend. GestaltBennie
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe In Watchers of the Dragon (4e), Lin Hu (Jade Tiger) was pretty damn impressive.
Susano
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe In Watchers of the Dragon (4e)' date=' Lin Hu (Jade Tiger) was pretty damn impressive.[/quote'] Oh yeah... easily the top "pure" martial artist in the book and the setting. Lord Liaden
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe And would probably clean the clock of any of the martial artists written for 5E so far, except perhaps Taipan. In fact the definition of Lin Hu was that he was acknowledged the greatest martial artist in the world.

Marketeer
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Andras Panthanatos and the man with the eye patch have never been mentioned in 5th ed. See how effective they are in 5th? Not only do they leave no survivors, but nobody's ever heard of them!
Twilight
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Andras Panthanatos and the man with the eye patch have never been mentioned in 5th ed. Steve
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe Andras Panthanatos and the man with the eye patch have never been mentioned in 5th ed. Actually, Panthanatos was written up in Predators, so he is now part of the Dark Champions world.

kave99
Re: Best Martial Artist: Champions Universe the man with eye patch was never given a official write up but given his history i think it safe to assume that he is creeping around South East Asia in the CU. just to keep the new guys on there toes .....
