RPMiller
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! Those would be a pain to park though... I think the second turns by leaning into it. Not much a turn radius though.

wcw43921
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! Recently I've been on a kick of collecting Hot Wheels cars that I believe resemble superhero-mobiles. As a result the top of my desk resembles a miniature custom car show, minus spectators and bikini babes. Here are a few of my favorites-- Vulture-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/worldrace/B2848.jpg Swoopy Do-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/2004/2004_003.jpg Sling Shot http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/worldrace/ZED36.jpg Xtreemster-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/2004/2004_082.jpg Iridium-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/acceleracers/G8119.jpg The Formul8r-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/2005/2005_013fte.jpg Buzz Off-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/2004/2004_091.jpg Ballistik-- http://www.hiros.com/hotwheels/image/dscn3150s.jpg F-Racer-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/2004/2004_030a.jpg For those who want something a little different, the Hammered Coupe-- http://www.hiros.com/hotwheels/image/dscn2154s.jpg Wild Thing could be used for a Jetcar (HERO System Vehicle Sourcebook, pg. 148)-- http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/worldrace/B1060.jpg And of course, the Batmobile-- http://www.batmobilehistory.com/toys/mischotwheels-batmobile11.gif There's now a Hot Wheels TV series Batmobile-- http://actionfigureinsider.com/main/wp-content/uploads/HWBatmobileCarded.jpg There's plenty more, of course--Hot Wheels is pretty much the "gateway drug" for fantasy car lovers. EDIT: And then there's the Awesomemobile-- http://www.thinkgeek.com/pvp/swag/90ea/ --which looks like it could present its own parking problems, but who cares? assault
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! There's now a Hot Wheels TV series Batmobile-- I had a Batmobile back in the early 70s. It wasn't Hot Wheels... It might have been Matchbox. wcw43921
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! Here's a "supercar" that actually got built--from the imagination of custom car genius Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, the Rotar-- If I ever get to the Futurama universe, this is the car I want--although from the pic below, I think I'd like it if it were more roomy-- More about the Rotar here-- http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?docid=1049 And here-- http://www.mrgasser.com/rotar.htm
StormK
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! Okay. I have you all beat. This car actually exists and is one of the most expensive cars in the world. Tramontana makes twelve a year and everything is customizable. With a pricetag of over 600,000 Euros (more than $795,623) you would have to be a billionaire to be able to afford it. The car comes standard with a 5,500 cc V12 engine and can reach speeds of over 260 MPH. It can go from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, but crime fighting gear is not included. Read more about it at Advanced Design Tramontana: http://www.tramontanagroup.com/car/car.php. wcw43921
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! Gentlemen, I'll see your Tramontana and your flying viper and raise you--The Shadow Hawk Titanium monocoque chassis, available 1100 hp diesel engine, capable of travel on any terrrain in unprecedented comfort, and much more--all in a vehicle about the size of a Corvette. This, friends and HEROes, is why we play the lottery.
BobGreenwade
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! Some of these really need at least a broad, general reference in the new Hero System Vehicles. (Like, maybe something in the References or some other Appendix.) DusterBoy
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! I see there's a Terra Hawk and a Street Hawk. A Dodge Tomahawk with a heavy auto-blaster, ablative shielding and some rocket pods would be a pretty awesome SUPERBIKE. 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, theoretical top speed of 300+ mph. megaplayboy
Re: Now THIS is a SUPERCAR my friends! It's real in the same sense that the Moller Air Car is (i.e pure vapor tech) I have a great rule of thumb for all future superhero campaigns I run or play in: if something was ever on the drawing board, theoretically possible or in prototype form in the real world, in the superhero reality it exists and works as intended. Life's more fun that way.
