Cancer
This Week in Food News: Ant-Infused Gin and KFC’s Disturbing New Mascot That sounds almost as bad as when I was at the cancer research center, working on computer models for evaluating cancer screening strategies, when my two responsibilities were called "the breast model" and "the ovary model". (Someone else had "the prostate model".)

Cygnia
Yeah, I'm a wee bit concerned about the Prosecco shortage here. Fortunately, I'm partial to Vinho Verde just in case, tkdguy

tkdguy
Yeah, I'm a wee bit concerned about the Prosecco shortage here. Fortunately, I'm partial to Vinho Verde just in case, I prefer red wine to sparkling wine, but I feel for the fans of Prosecco. Hopefully it isn't too dire. gewing
Funny that Liver Paste is the most palatable sounding. Though I rather like liver and onions. I would probably try blood sausage, maybe pudding.
tkdguy
I've tried fried pig's blood. Not much taste, actually. Best used as a supplement to the main dish.
L. Marcus
Blood pudding is a staple food around here. Perfectly palatable, especially with lingonberry jam.

Cancer
linked without comment I have a cookbook of Szechuan recipes which claims that you can't get authentic versions of some dish I like but cannot now remember because you can't get coagulated duck blood here in the US. gewing
Blood pudding is a staple food around here. Perfectly palatable, especially with lingonberry jam. Lingonberry jam to me doesn't have a lot of flavor depth. I would bet that it would blend REALLY well with some other fruits, however. Christopher R Taylor
The thing is, a lot of those dishes that sound horrendous, are actually pretty good. Its a general rule that the further north get in Europe, the worse the food gets, though.
