Create a Villain Theme Team!

Fixed.

Actually yourversion is still wrong.

Look at post 2522 above. I amended it.

What you had wrong was Geyser. He is Gregory's brother not his son. I amended that.

Gwendolyn was Fred's wife.

Charles Nelson

He is smart, he is elusive !

He knows martial arts. He is probably more intelligent than the rest.

And he is Melissa's cat, Charles Nelson. He tries telling her about things but she just says 'good cat' or 'bad cat'. Grandma and Grandad have suspicions but he does play them well.

Why is he named so ? after a favourite X-Files of course......

anyone want to jump in with a new team. Go ahead.

You said maximum 20, right?  Cause I do have one more for the team

Blake Waters is the illegitimate son of Dredd. However, he joined the main branch of the family.  Of course,  their were suspicions of him at first, with members thinking he was looking for prestige.  But, he joined them for a singular purpose: to avenge his mother's death at the hands of his father, Dredd.  He was given the moniker The Cleanser because he is immune to his father's powers, not only that but he can halt (but not reverse, at least not yet) the process of the Dredd touch in some cases.  Leaving him as something of a wildcard in fights against Dredd.

Other than that, he is fairly mundane, relying on the family gadgetry in battle/missions

Stanley Fountain's little sister is Shelley Fountain, better known by her crime name Magical Thief Glamour Linda (usaly the family calls her Glamour Linda or just Linda for short). Needless to say, she styles herself after japanies magical girl anime heros. Her powers are mostly the ability to fly, and improved statistics (mostly DEX, but some other stats also). Master Armorer provided her with some less than leathal weaponry disguised as typical magical girl wands. Charlie dislikes her, for she insists on calling him Luna.

Darrin Fountain is a lone wolf among the pigeons as Transoptical. His ability to use water as a gate allows him easy access anywhere at anytime.

CES

Red's grandkid

CES

Bearing in mind that Gregory Fountain (Crush) is the mainstay we need the link to him. Is Transoptical Gregory's son or a nephew via Geyser or Rio Grande ?

I would suggest that Annie would not be a good mother.

Geyser has a son that his brother brought up. He wanted to be a rock musician but found he could control multiple jets of water at once. So Wayne joined the family business. His nom de guerre ?

Fountains of Wayne

This makes roughly 18 members out of a maximum of 20. Anone who wants to post a new idea for a team, step in now. If no new team by Monday then I will post one.

Number 19 is Stormlady. She is Rachel Fountion, wife of Stephen Fountion. She has minor weather manipulation abilities. She knows her husban's spirit is now inside Luis Ortega, as she was the one who casted the spell to ancker his soul onto another's body. Yes, her powers are magical in nature.

The final member is Monstrosity. Born by one of Dread's diligence, Gwendoyln the Bad found the young Rodger Thrall first. Expermenting on him constently and treating him like an animal, Monstrosity is nothing more than Gwendoylin's attack dog. He normaly has great agility, strong jaw mussles and sharp teath, and resistance to pain. Each time she sends him out, she experments on him to give him a new power. One day, he might explode...litterly. Gwen dosen't care, as long as she gains scientific knowlage from his death, and take most of the Fountions with him.

New Team:

Sin'ister Royalty

Based on the 7 Deadly Sins, no power theme (open to whatever), but it has to make sense with the Demon's name and sin they are responsible for (Villain's public character name - secret ID can be whomever, not related, or could be).  Based in Las Vegas, of course.  The team/sin list is:

In AD 590, a little over two centuries after Evagrius wrote his list, Pope Gregory I revised this list to form the more common Seven Deadly Sins, by folding (sorrow/despair/despondency) into acedia, vainglory into pride, and adding envy.  In the order used by Pope Gregory, and repeated by Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) centuries later in his epic poem The Divine Comedy, the seven deadly sins are as follows - In 1409-1410 The Lanterne of Light (an anonymous English Lollard tract often erroneously attributed to Wycliffe) paired each of the deadly sins with a demon, who tempted people by means of the associated sin. According to this classification system, the pairings are as follows:

Asmodeus: luxuria (lechery/lust)
Belphegor: gula (gluttony)
Mammon: avaritia (avarice/greed)
Abadon: acedia (sloth/discouragement)
Sathanus: ira (wrath)
Belzebub: invidia (envy)
Lucifer: superbia (pride)

I hope I get this theme right.

Lucifer Fallon was picked on as a kid.  His mother bad choice of naming didnt help.  When the other kids werent making devil references, they were reduced his name down to "Lucy".  Finding he had a knack for stage megic at age 10, probably saved his self-confidence.  And he would go on to a Vegas show as Superbia the Magnificent.  He disappeared from the stage a couple of years ago shortly after buying a book of alleged black magic spells at a flea market.  But he had since reapeared as a frighteningly sinister supervillain.

His favorite power is the ability to summon the "Soul Mirrors".  These are mirrors he can make appear.  They steal the souls of certain people that gaze into them (would it essentially be killing them for all practical purposes?).  Additionally each mirror represents one of his "slaves" who will do his bidding once summoned from their personal mirror.  They can only be freed by the destruction of their personal mirror (obviously he would be protective of mirrors of any supers he has gained, though he keeps them  swirling about him  randomly to make whose mirror is whose quite difficult to figure.)

Notes:  I wasnt sure if it kills them or not, depending on how hardcore you want the team to be. If not I suppose they are freed to resume their normal lives.  I also wasnt sure what parameters need to be met to steal someone into the mirror.  Maybe it should be a mystery. Or maybe gazing into it-seeing your reflection starts a Drain power of COn/BODY/? that once lowers to a certain point takes you.

I kind of modelled the concept a little bit from combining Demongo of Samurai Jack and Haku of Naruto (that ice mirror power of his, though maybe that Dream Mirror arc of Sailor Moon might be more applicable)

It appears just to be a gigantic tub on wheels or tracks with a greasy sort of substance inside. And what is inside is Gula. It eats like it is going out of fashion as the greasy white thing becomes a blob that attacks grabbing and eating everything it can get it's hands on. And being a demon means that you can't kill it. Want to stop it a moment ? Offer it something unique like a unicorn or a cute puppy to snack on. But do not mistake it as a mindless eating machine. The others do not. And the tub ? Anti-magnetic and immune to telekinesis.

Acedia the Dream Master represents Sloth in the group. Her power has 2 parts to it.  First, the character feels fatigued, giving in to an overwhelming desire for sleep.  Once, asleep, they must fight their way through a hellish, often apocalyptic-style nightmare if they wish to ever wake up, fighting all the way the desire to just surrender in despair.

Luckily for the heroes, her personality embodies her sin.   The others often have to drag her with them on their missions, and even then she often acts as a bystander unless directly confronted by an enemy (or due to the opposition's numbers is forced to have to be of assistance to her allies.

Avaritia. He who dies with the most toys wins.... And that is where Avaritia comes in. Often looking like a business man he shows people visions of what they can get and watches in sadistic delight as they do anything and everything to get them. He rarely engages in front line fighting but be wary if attacking him as he is a demon and can trounce most normal foes and quite a few paranormal ones. He usually brings some device with him to drag Sloth along with rather than handle them. He sometimes teams up with Gula so that he shows people a feast and then watches when Gula appears and devours it.

Invidia was a thief, who was a late addition to the gang. Having a habit of stealing from Avaritia's victim's she became a thorn in the side for him until they captured her.  It was soon discovered she wasnt greedy, so much as being a bit weak with the whole "Thall shalt not covet" thing. She was essentially a kleptomaniac who stole simply stole because her targets had what she didnt.  She was a perfect candidate for their envy.  Even more convenient for them she soon manifested a latent power.  That of a "power mimic".   She can copy the power of an opponent for a short period of time.

The woman known as Luxuria is not what one expects to see as the embodiment of lust and lechery.  She's not voluptuous, classically gorgeous or even overly cute, though she's not hideously ugly either.  She's simply a plain Jane whose touch causes a person to begin emitting pheremones that render all who breathe them (including the person touched) incredibly lustful, with lowered judgement on what that person finds acceptable in a potential mate.

The pheremones don't work at all on Luxuria in either direction -- they don't make her lustful, nor do they make other people desire her at all.

Well, I'll try a team.  Inspired by the fact my mother is in the other room watching It's A Wonderful Life.

Team: Potter's Phantoms

Members:  5

These people made the same wish as George Bailey.  Only they found that everyone's life seemed better without them.  They took the opportunity of the wish to be forgotten and left without an official identity to wreck havoc on the world who hated them.

Saveed Diviljani grew up in the slums of Mumbai.  His one escape from the horrible poverty and abuse of his life was the movies, and he vowed to become a great movie star in Bollywood.  He stole, cheated and conned his way into enough money to get acting lessons, and then used every underhanded trick he could think of to break into the film community.  He was a pretty good actor, decent singer and handsome enough, but try as he might, he could never make it past "hero's friend" or "villain's henchman."  Finally, he resorted to blackmail to force himself into the lead role of his studio's next movie, based on the life of India's greatest superhero.

The movie bombed, the studio went bankrupt, the executive he'd blackmailed committed suicide, Saveed's wife left him and even the hero the movie was based on repudiated the film.  Distraught, Saveed wished that he had never been born.

Somehow this wish became a reality.  Saveed was not pleased with the results, however.  A minor actor whose career Saveed had sabotaged years before had married Saveed's wife and given her three handsome children, and starred in the movie, which was a huge success and saved the studio.  The hero was more popular than ever.  Returning to Mumbai, Saveed was astounded to learn that his mother had pulled herself out of poverty and was now a successful businesswoman.  Indeed, most of his childhood acquaintances had done much better for themselves in his absence.

This would not do.  Back at the studio, Saveed stole the equipment that allowed the stuntpeople to simulate the hero's powers and took off the safeties.  He became a mercenary villain with a taste for destroying movies.

Like the other members of Potter's Phantoms, Saveed can detect other "unborn" people; he is arguing that they should invite the villain Lucifer to join their ranks.

Tom Carlyle was well regarded as a hero for surviving two attacks by supervillains while protecting US interests abroad. He found being the survivor was too much and wished never to be born. When this happened, Tom's units didn't suffer the losses they had in the initial attacks, a man he hated won the award he originally won after the second attack, both of his parents were alive and neither knew him.

Tom, with no other prospects in this changed world, armed himself with weapons and equipment and decided to hunt down the surviving members of the villain groups that had attacked his units and do away with them. He has frequently been compared to Thunderbird in his pursuit of his targets.
