Remote Interdiction Being is the code name for Andy Myers, a UK soldier who was rendered a quadriplegic by a roadside bomb in Iraq.  He was fitted with an experimental exoskeleton that was controlled directly by his brain, granting him the ability to walk and move his arms again.  However, the neural connections had an unintended side effect, giving Sgt. Myers the ability to read minds, project his will onto others, and awaken memories of past injuries in targets.  He is the team's mentalist.

A number of large corporations are tired of the Corporate Raiders attacking their companies, so they've banded together to create a hero team (or at least buy members for the team) to protect their corporate interests.  Who are six heavily-sponsored members of the Unlimited Liability Corporation?  (Please also provide the name of the company, real or fictitious, which is sponsoring your hero.)

Router

 

The computer tech of the group is Router who has an uncanny ability to track computerised information. He works with Apple, Microsoft and other computer firms in order to protect them from hackers and others. Router dresses in a plain grey uniform which is seeded with armour/force field protection as he tends to get shot at or targetted with deadly energy blasts. He is the least photogenic of the group and with the villains perhaps the least popular. He advocates strong penalties against villains particularly the ones who steal money from the large corporations and banks. Equally those who steal money from their own firms will not receive mercy from him. He has actually fought against the Raiders on several occasions and has a feeling that there is something off with Factory Recall as on one battle they had a neutraliser which should have shut the robot down but it failed.

Downsizer shrank a CEO who Router was friends with while Union's mental attacks almost killed him. So of all the group Router is the one most personally invested in taking down the Raiders.

Router can repair computers and also can also sort out minor repairs to vehicles. He usually uses a variety of gadgets out in the field to aid the team but rarely goes on the offensive with attacks against anyone. He has some martial arts training mainly to defend himself. One of the most commented things on him however is that all traces of a former life before he became Router have been erased even at hard copy level.

Sponsored by Wells Fargo as a show of good will, Marvin Ursa is the Bear. Marvin's main skills as an investigator are forensic accounting, and trend analysis. He can follow money laundering anywhere he can get the ledgers.

 

The fact that Marvin can become an angry giant bear when forced to fight is a secondary skill that he doesn't like to use all that much.

Detriot Steel

 

Sponsored by American Steel, GMC and Ford amongst others, Detriot Steel is the muscle of the group. When powered up he resembles a 12 foot tall man of steel complete with rivets. However he is immune to magnetism or rust attacks. Normal telekinesis aggravates him but he is usually on the receiving end as people throw things at him like cars, lorries and the occasional building. He is a publicist's nightmare as he is monosyllabic but he is loved by the accountants as he is low maintenance. Usually he stands in the way of the villains and their goal and soaks up the damage.

He weighs far more than a man of normal build and even a man of similar build made of steel. He can survive most extreme environments (space, radiation, underwater) but he keeps that quiet so that villains try it at least once. He was even buried once and then tunnelled out much to the chagrin of the villains involved.

Downsizer's power does not work on him as it was tried; Rainwalker tried rain on him and got missiles thrown at her but Union seemed to activate an enraged as when Union used his powers on him Detriot Steel went straight for him in a fury. On the other hand Detriot Steel pulled his punches against Daytrader when they clashed.

One rumour that follows him is that he is related to the villainous Detriot Steel and that as a plea bargain he must work with the team or the authorities. No one has confirmed it. But he has not denied it either.

His powers and skill set also makes it clear that he is not the leader.

Steve Thermon is a gadget based hero much like Nighthawk from the Champions. Sponsored by Hasbro and Mattel, his weapons of choice are based on toys and games. He has picked up the moniker Gamesman and ran with it.

When Jimmy Jack Jordan's power manifested, he was disallowed from his job as a Nascar driver. Nascar gave him a chance to use that power instead of letting it ruin his life and pushing him into villainy. Jimmy Jack became the metallic multiple man, Five Hundred.

Given that it's spelled "Detriot" throughout, I'm guessing it was intentional.  And having grown up in the suburbs of the Motor City and having an older brother who was arrested during the 1967 Detroit riots, I can't really say DT's that far off.

Bill Rounder is known as the Spirit Trap, or just Trap. His power is absorbing any spirit like entity and using that to boost his natural abilities. Sometimes the spirit can break free before he gets done snacking on them if he reaches the upper limit of his power.

Chalk

 

Charles Chalk Dover is a cliché the ivy league professor with Chalk dust on his leather patched tweed jacket.

 

His verbose language and tendency to lecture on obscure topics people tend to undee

estimate him as his just

an academic.

 

While Charles does have multiple doctorates in anthropology psychology linguistics and traditional occult practices.

 

He is also one of the best practitioners at the arts of wards and runic magic with a stick of Chalk he can create a impenetrable barrier, create traps or see through walls. With any writing instrument he is a dangerous ghost hunter. In his hands the pen is truly mightier than the sword

Streams

 

Matthew Bigalow is the technical specialist of the group. He comes up with the all the gear the team needs. But all these things cost money so he is the most money orientated member of the team. New weapons etc cost time and money to develop and test after all. After he devised a gun similar to the ones used in Ghostbusters people kept jibing him with the 'crossing the streams' gag so much that it became his official nickname. If the others tell him of an idea for new anti-ghost equipment, he'll try and develop it provided it does not cost too much.

Deadeye

 

Peter Keller-Edwards was born blind and as with other people who have lost their sight his other senses have enhanced to compensate. What Peter didn't realise till his teens was that the ability he relied on to compensate for his missing vision wasn't something everyone else saw. Peter has the ability to see spiritual energy at it's most basic level he can "see" anything living and the rough shape of objects as they are imbued with spiritual energy by their users. More usefully he can see spirits their trails and significant objects. He can see the corrupt essence of bad places and the brightness and joy of the good.

 

His ability allows him to locate the objects and places at the core of a haunting and the team uses that to severe a ghosts attachment to this plane.

Matt Hope as a firefighter can control energy and temperature so that he is immune to extremes of temperature while being able to ignite and freeze the environment as Mercury

A lot of people know what happened when the Atlanta Federal building blew up as bomb technician Carl Machin was approaching the bomb. He was incinerated and the building collapsed and then it didn't. Time rewound and the bomb did not detonate. Don't believe me ? Watch the footage on Youtube. Carl is understandably freaked out by the whole business. He died and then somehow he did not. Carl can't really cope with it but with the help of his team mates he can function in society. The fact that most bombs spontaneously deactivate in his presence helps. He does not have a team name yet as the ones that have been suggested are in his opinion awful.

Miss Might

 

Megan Michaels was no-ones first thought of what a Hero looks like 5' nothing in her sensible shoes soft spoken an immensely patient she was the perfect kindergarten teacher. Then came a teachers worst nightmare an active shooter incident.

 

She did what she had been trained to hid her kids in a corner and kept them quite.

 

But when the shooter burst into her class room pistol aimed at her kids she snapped charging the man.

 

he was much bigger and stronger than her but she held on with all her strength to protect her kids.

 

And then there was that insanely loud noise and the coldness in her chest and again and again and she couldn't hold on any longer as she fell to the floor her vision fading all she could think was it wasn't enough who would save her kids. Megan's eyes closed for the last time as the gunman calmly reloaded.

 

Megan's eyes opened she felt amazing she leapt to her feet and charged the gunman once more as he took aim on her cowering charges.

 

She rammed into him hoping just to throw off his aim but she was amazed as she plowed him straight through the sheetrock into the empty class room next door.

 

she stood over the now trembling gun man as once more he leveled his pistol at her she flinched back covering her self but instead of the sharp pain followed by ice chill she remembered it felt like a light summer rain as 14 more bullets flattened against her skin and thunked to the floor.

 

She punched him once then and he lost consciousness.

 

when the police arrived a few minutes later they found an unconscious gun man hog tied with jump ropes and miss Michael's reading a story to her class to calm them down the only sign of the incident plaster dust in her hair and almost 30 holes in her sensible Cardigan and blouse.

 

Miss Might is now a super hero she still has her teaching license and tutors kids in some of the most dangerous parts of the city but feels that her powers require her to use them to protect people.

 

She is a little miffed that she didn't get the superhuman physique to go with her powers but it has proven advantageous as she is often overlooked and underestimated in a fight. She is mostly a very calm and focused fighter trying to minimise damage unless kids are threatened and then she has a tendency to get very angry and more than one villain has made the Oh **** face when they realise the storm they have unleashed.

 

She is pretty much a straight up brick superhumanly strong, nigh invulnerable, able to leap a considerable distance and with seemingly endless endurance

 

surprisingly her biggest asset to the team is not her powers but her people skills people open up to her and she is expert at defusing conflict.

 

She has said many times that dealing with superpowered alpha males and kindergarten have a lot in common.

Roscoe Jennings held medals in his sports events, working to get on the Olympic Team every four years as well as attending meets between Olympic meetings. Caught in a crossfire between Demon and the local hero group, Roscoe was desinegrated while trying to rescue civilians.

 

He came back even faster than before with control over his speed and everyone else's as Velocity.
