Ninja-Bear
Hello Herodom, Hopefully soon I’m goin to play a short scenario, the Shinobaiyama from NH 4th. My boys are going to use the fictional styles of Korogai Ninjitsu and The Way of Two Brothers (both from UMA 4th) im just curious has anyone used these or any other fictional style? mattingly
I've used Stooge-itsu a few times. PhilFleischmann

steriaca
Humm...I could probably create a workable Anything Goes Martial Arts write up. Still trying to wrap my mind around Fist Of The North Star. Is it a Martial Arts with thugly powers, or is it just thugly powers? Then there is Harmon... tkdguy
I wrote up a style called Ghost Fist, which was primarily based on Kung Fu.
PhilFleischmann
I've created a few martial arts styles, not with any actual "school" or tradition, but simply based on the unusual physiology of the characters. For example, one was for a character with multiple arms (and wings and a prehensile tail).

If I’m not mistaken, Surbrook’s stuff has it. 😁
Tjack
A couple of years after the Remo Williams movie came out one of my players did a Chuin “Master of Sinanju” character. The way he did it was to make a point of not having ANY martial arts. Instead of dodge he had desolid, with incantations. (“You missed”, “The seasons move faster!”, “You move like a baboon with two club feet!” etc.) He couldn’t throw a punch to save his life, but went through Viper agents like a tornado thru a trailer park. One of the most unusual and creative write-ups I ever saw. In short (too late) be creative in your choices, one of the best things about this system is it’s flexibility. IndianaJoe3
I created a martial art designed to evade and escape from opponents, rather than defeat them in combat. It was taught by the thieves guild in a fantasy game. It had (IIRC), Martial Block, Martial Dodge, Passing Throw, Martial Escape, and Martial Disarm. I never came up with a name I was happy with, though.
Ninja-Bear
Indianjoe3 I once designed an Orc martial art. And I also designed a style called Way of the Rabbit. That Art had one punch but was designed for evasion and escape.

Didn’t Western Hero or Fantasy Hero have stats for trained horses to strike out with their hooves at, and charge full speed (move thru) into bad guys? At the very least, there should be a martial art for centaurs. And maybe leomachi.

Zeropoint
If we're doing fictional martial arts, I'd love to see an interpretation of Panzer Kunst. I've been a big fan of Alita since well before any movies came out.

Ninja-Bear
I once created (and played) a super hero name Shield who uses the Way of the Silver Shield martial art.

Panzer Kunst -- "armor art" in German -- was in-Universe created by Martian separatists for taking advantage of cutting-edge humanoid full-body cyborgs, mostly for fighting other cyborgs. Alita's world is very much a Crapsack World, in both the original manga and even more so in the follow-up Last Order. I haven't really analyzed the technique in Hero terms, but it is pretty much the ultimate hard martial art -- high Damage output, KAs, Dodges, and Blades as a Weapon Element. tkdguy
Toying with the idea of a sword & planet game. Fictional martial arts (and a couple of real ones) seems to be the way to go.

Offhand, I would adapt Mist Viper Ninjitsu. It’s a brutal (high damage) martial art. L. Marcus
