  1. Re: Hulk Smash: What is your favorite version? Lou Ferrigno Anyway, yeah it was refreshing change to have smart hulk. After the age of 10, HULK SMASH!!! became a little old after a while.
  2. Re: Is a politician a good secret ID? Adnittedly, i am much too cynical for a hero or heroic NPC to be a politician. However, I love the idea of a villain doing that (especially a Mentalist) Mentalist politician who Mind Controls people to vote for him. I actually toyed with an idea of making a Bill Clinton clone who could mind control voters via his speeches.
  3. Fiddling with an Armored character today. I was wondering how do I take off DeX when Armor is on? Say I want a regular 12 DEX to have a loss of 2 down to 10 due to the loss of mobility? Cant seem to figure it out on HERO designer.
  4. Re: Your Favorite Useless Power How about Psychological Lim: Hatred of Clowns (Common, Total) Hey you never know when some Pennywise wanna-be will show up.
  5. Re: Spiffiest Power Name? another guy I played with had a three part attack-combo that 1) Hey big pretty lights!! 2) What you still here? 3) Welp, they be scraping him off the ground now!
  6. Re: Special Operations Bureau Dang, not much info, other than actors and director. Apparently no info on character names for the most part.
  7. Re: Special Operations Bureau I vaguely remember this one. Sort of. Hmmmm. I'll go to imdb to find out and see if I can help.
  8. Re: Help Me Build A Super-Spy Team Curious, freakboy, is L337 supposed to be a Cyberpath (description seems to imply that IMO). Anyway, for my contribution: Dodge: Tommy Dodge was a former stunt man, stunt driver and pilot in Hollywood. He was always in demand, as he had a seemingly highly reselient body that never got hurt, and boundless amount of energy. Until one day an exploding buiding prematurely detonated just seconds before the scene was to be shot. Unfortunately Tommy was near, fortunately his legendary resilency shown through as he manage to duck for cover just before the explosion. Note: Anyway basically his senses were what saved him. His vision, hearing and sense of smell basically to be exact had mutated. He was a mutant after all (how do you think he had a superstong body?) Now he has the vision of an eagle, sense of smell of a bloodhound, and hearing of a bat. These new enhanced senses obviusly made living in the bustle of Hollywood a bit tramatic. He decided to leave and return home where his mother lived in the NW. His maternal granfather, the local healer at the reservation, helped teach him how to keep control of his new found powers. He decided to stay and live in the wilderness, he became an expert at tracking, thanks to his senses, and what he learned as a boy tracking game when on hunts. Though he did withdraw from using rifles (too noisy). He became a masterful archer, and a premiere expert knife thrower. Eventually he was drawn back by another member of the group to join up. Yadda. Note: He would have some of the talents of a super-tracker, archer, knife wielder, combat driver and pilot and possibly some brick ability. More a jack of all trades to make it simple. In any case, I tried doing this on short notice, I dont particularly like doing the stereotypical Native American thing (and also why I didnt give him a superhero name). But it would seem to fit I guess. Background sometimes arent a strong point for me.
  9. Re: Help Me Build A Super-Spy Team I'd also go with character with multiple abilities. Ex. the super-tracker is also a master at killing silently with knives, bow-arrow, and piano wire, etc.
  10. Re: Help Me Build A Super-Spy Team Actually i was thinking of a gadgeteer with a lot of equipment built for spying on the enemy. Like using maybe the bug-sized drone who flys in a relays info with super-small camera. An archer might not be bad either. Or some such infiltrator who is a master of killing silently. Perhaps a guy who kills with wire? A super-tracker could be useful. With plenty of mutant enhanced senses.
  11. Re: WWYCD #124 or so:Peace on Earth Well Superbadger's worst enemy happened to have killed his family, so he would spend the 24 hours mostly sitting in the corner, glaring at him waiting for whatever has happened to wear off, so he can close in for the kill. Said archenemy would likely spend the time taunting (probably going into detail over and over about his family's last minutes). By the time this is over if he listens he will go into a big time ultimate berserker rage (his powers are really heightened in this mode, but he isnt aware of what he is doing). He likely could tune him out, as he would know to be at full awareness for the upcoming battle (and this guy has already taunted like this before, and he has learned from this mistake). Definitely an all around tense day.
  12. Re: Alternate Earth #25 National Capes Superbadger- Why are these people following me? GO AWAY! Actually, if he was ruler, it would be of a sparsely populated patch of rugged wilderness. A forest or possibly even jungle (though he wouldnt particularly enjoy the heat there). Wherever he could be left alone (or at least be left alone on his terms)
  13. Re: Alternate Earth #25: What's up, Doc? Why do I see my character ending up as Wily Coyote?
  14. Re: Alternate Earth #23(?): Living In The Wild, Wild West Superbadger wouldnt change that much actually. He doesnt wear a superhero costume. And to some extent his usual mode of dress aside from his T-shirt could probably pass for your local farmer possibly. Outside shirt flannel, blue jeans, etc. Wouldnt go to boots, would prefer moccasins instead. With his energy blasts he doesnt need a gun, and in any case his SPD is high enough he can dodge bullets. He would probably help the Native Americans fight against the Army on the frontier. Being his father was an alien from another planet (not sure how that would work) he would probably have to deal with some prejudice. He would belong out on the Plains rather than in a town, too.
  15. Re: I' m in a philosophical mood tonight. Anyway I didnt mention earlier what my character would do. (wanted to see some feedback first). But anyway. My character Superbadger it would be a case of he has grown to like fighting to some level, maybe it is thrill who knows.but he seemingly had passed the point where he could easily adjust back to civilian life. He really doesnt have a family outside the team, heck, the loss of his family was what brought to where he is. He would most likely become the last villain left. Course before he joined up, he was a semi-villain of sorts looking for the murderer of his family. but anyway. Also a friend's character who was a bit Punisher-like (with immortality). He would have trouble too. He was ex-Green Beret, turned mercenary. He would have trouble himself. He seems to only care about fighting and chicks. Guess that would leave more time for chicks. . But even that would get boring eventually (he was granted immortality after all) Actually the rest of that group wouldnt have much trouble admittedly. A couple of gadgeteers would probably become top inventors. The others I dont know what they would go on to do. But they had a life of some sort outside crime-fighting. Course this also proves a moral of such, that if you put so much of yourself into one thing, and you lose that one thing, it could destroy you. I can think of real life cicumstances that have caused people trouble adjusting like this. Mainly Vetnam guys. But I wont get into that.
  16. Re: I' m in a philosophical mood tonight. Actually when I thought about this Batman was the first one that came to mind. Punisher would probably be another.
  17. Well I was reading the Alternate Earth 22 replys tonight. It then dawned (well it had before, but I am thinking about now and was curious about other opinions and such). After reading one dream world of no crime I began thinking that would be a nightmare for my hero and lots of other heroes too. Ok think about it. The hero's primary purpose in life, so to speak, is to fight crime (yes it varies on reasons why). What if they succeeded in this goal to erradicate crime? What would a hero do then? We all want a purpose even supers. So in essence crime is the yin to a hero's yang. So I was wondering deep down could your hero handle not going out there handing it to the bad guys? Note: Yes I am probably babbling. I worked had at work tonight and my brain is likely fried. LOL. But I was curious as to reactions of this perspective.
  18. Re: Alternate Earth #22—World of your Dreams I did forget to mention the superbadger wouldnt want a peaceful world utopia w/o crime and war and poverty and strife, etc. Fighting these things gives his life purpose. Without them he would be obsolete. The irony is the end goal would probably be a nightmare. Guess he would have to go villain again in such a world.
  19. Re: Building a MacGyver "Superskill" Remember though the script writers do consider Luck rolls a "cure-all" for good guys" How else would the good guys win alll the time.
  20. Re: Alternate Earth #22—World of your Dreams Well Superbadger would probably have either A) his family back to life particularly mother, sister, mentor/trainer, and girlfriend. The ones who died at the hands of his archenemy that put him on his current path. Or He has grown to enjoy fighting and battle, so he might find himself in some dimension where he just fights a lot. Course there is a chance he might find a way to fight his way back. Another member of the group would also be interesting the more or less leader of the group Frosty Bob, his dream would probably consist of hundreds of scantily clad dancing girls (Note: Rest of this edited to protect the younger viewers )
  21. Re: Minor question on Uruk-hai. That probably makes sense as I am analyzing it. +2 STR compared to a human in same fighter class. Though I probably should take a -2 for them on INT. I am not saying they were really dumb. But they were pretty much trained up to be a bit one dimensional, parts in the Helm's Deep battle showed they werent swift at adjusting on the fly. Which should reflect on INT.
  22. i was wondering how much STR should I give the average one in comparison to the other races. I am thinking 15 because they seemed to be big on brute force and low on smarts (at least anything resembling individual thought). And 15 would be twice as strong as an average human. So is this too much, too little?
  23. Re: Pirates {er, HEROES!} of Dark Water ! They had a marathon of the episodes on Cartoon Network about 7 or 8 years ago and I taped all of them. I'd have to looking though as I was too lazy to label tapes back then for some reason (yes that was stupid) but I have it somewhere. I think the show came out in 1990 or 91 BTW. Didnt watch it until it was on Cartoon Network though. It came on way too early when it was first out. I suspect the early time was what killed the show. That or parents thought it was too violent. (you know 2 or 3 people died during those 21 episodes ). Oh and for some reason I always pulled for the peg-legged Konk.
  24. Re: WWYCD #118?: The man from UNTIL. Nope. Wouldnt have any love for UNTIL or the equvalent in his universe. It is UNTIL's problem not mine.
  25. Re: Wwycd #119: Kltpzyxm! If you'd realize how much I hated that guy in the comics. You would realize the first thing I would do is give the GM a beat down. But probably do the same as already mentioned mispronounce on purpose until corrected (actually I never could get it right anyway, so who said I'd have to try to misponounce?) Or he might try to say Beetlejuice 3 times. Oh wait that's a whole other problem brought up Superbadger: Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, beetlejuice (beetlejuice appears) Superbadger: Oh poopy it's gotten worse
