Dear Abby, I need your help. I had this problem with my neighbors. You see every year in early February they would pull me out in the early cold morning. They would force me to look for my shadow (which I never saw because they were all taking my picture, blinding me) and later one of them would hoist me in the air. All I wanted was to sleep but they wouldnt let me. Well the last time they did this my superpowers manifested and rage could not be held back any longer. I went berserk. I wiped them out. Now I cant seem to control myself. They finally kicked me out of town. Now I am thinking about being a supervillain. What should I do. Phil, formerly of Punxsutawney, PA

I admit to sometimes talking a bit loud. That is mostly due to my dad's not-so-good hearing (from working for 30 years around lound machines). It kind of became a habit so he could hear what I was saying.

I like both. But the way I look at it is no matter how powerful you are there is always a more powerful villain somewhere. Though psychologically I guess people like the high powered because we are all (relatively) competent normals in real life. So why not pretend to be powerful and all. After all this is just an evolved game of cops&robbers that we played from youth. (Blasphemy I know, I think I heard some thunder going to hide under the desk to avoid getting hit by lightning:p ) So what ever you enjoy go with. Ahh the game of cops&robbers Kid 1: I shot you Kid 2: No you didnt. Kid 1: Yes I did you were just five feet away. Kid 2: I dont care it missed me.

Never understood the catgirl with superstrength. From what I've seen of cats it look like a catlike species would have high agility more so. But anyway. For the guy who rolls his dice in a corner without anyone to see. Well I would give him 2 choices. A) Let me see the dice to prove your roll OR He automiatically fails.

Me. I just dont want them to screw up and cast ap pretty boy, you need someone who can capture the grit and ugliness of my character. Christopher Walken could come close. Mark Hamil actually could (at least the older version where he looks psychotic) I noticed you mentioned Catherine Bell, might have to write in a romantic lead for my character then.

I'm probably guilty of playing with the same type character to an extent. I always go for the higher DEX type character it is more a comfortable with the type than anything. Playing with a true brick just aint my style. This habit probably goes back more to the Street Fighter type video games than anything else. I always preferred the fast, agile fighters. Course as far as personality and non-combat related skills I differ them widely. But players who refuse to play "in character" bug me. You know even though he would have a psych lim of cowardice where the guy would run from his shadow or something but instead goes in bullets flying whatever the circumstance. Thankfully never experienced this version of player (not in an extreme sense anyway).

Definite No! He is not the kind who exactly asks for help! But he can be good for advice as he is a former villain gone straight. He is definitely willing to help an ally who ask for help or advice. Though he can be a bit insensitive to the "boy-scouts" and "teenage supers who just want to be normal".

I usually play with friends that I know fairly well. So I dont end up with many surprises. Evidently I need to go to Von D-Man's sessions though.

True, low pressure/high pressure/vacuum and the like will kill them most likely. But there want exactly be a way for the survivors to create these effects all that often.

yeah the last 2 posts seem approximately what I was thinking to some degree. I dont want to make them a complete joke of cannon fodder. But I dont exactly want them to be going toe-to-toe with any supers either. I guess I kind of envision them as the Imperial's version of the Marine Corps. Basically kind of a bit more training and know how than your standard Imperial infantry. Oh and in my universe the Imperials definitely would have taken down more than one freaking ewok.

Never got around to creating him but me and one of my friends got an idea one time joking around and we basically working it out. Remember the "mini-Marlon Brando" in the Island of Dr. Moreau? Yeah I tried again about an hour ago and decided to see if the template thing was what it was I changed it to heroic and it worked out. I felt so stupid.

I am trying to convert the Imperial stormtroopers template in an old Star Wars RPG book of mine into HERO. I seem to be stumped on their weapon and armor. Has anyone done this?

Which version of Hero Designer do I need to download to create equipment (weapons & armor). I downloaded v.2 and it doesnt allow it. ANy help greatly appreciated.

Personally to me it doesnt seem like it matters. As much as I lkie statting everything out there is a time where you can overdo it. In any case superheroes are kind of on "24-hour call" anyway.

Dang this is my most popular thread I've ever had! My 2 cents (which is all it is worth:rolleyes: ) on Desolid is that it probably would still affect on a desolid of the physical world type (though maybe a damage reduction) on the astral plane of existense who knows. Course a super speedster at ground zero vibrating real fast? If he has superspeed shouldnt he use it to run the heck out of there? Though he better hope against a pulled muscle:rolleyes:. I was just curious how much BODY and CON would be needed to survive a hit from a nuclear bomb (or nuc-u-lar if you want )? I suspect high ED would be needed too.

Good point, I guess if you look at it a certain way, a god of the dead would be a "good" guy. As in come to pick up the deadweight (pun may or may not be intended;) )

Uhh no lemming I remember that guy and .....no. But now that you mentioned him, he could make a good diversion/decoy for the real Samedi. But actually my plan fro him is to be a sort of dealer-under-the table. Having his hands in organized crime in the area, etc. Also possibly setting up temporary alliances with other villain groups when it would suit his purposes. Also I was wondering would some loyal followers like disciples of a Death cult that may worship him. i was thinking could maybe they kind of be a few of them roaming about as slavishly loyal followers be proper for him to have.
