If so then my advice doesn't work, however, if only NPC's and the one PC are using the weapon simply make the powers a byproduct of XP and let the NPC's find it with the unlimited pool that the GM has to offer.

I think the hero guys are doing a good job of giving us distinct areas; ofcourse having not seen any of the various city books I don't know for sure but their focus seems to be in the right place. There's a shining new city, a decaying morally bankrupt city, and a mystical, esoteric city. This alleviates the "all things to all people" problem that Jhamin spoke of.

I had once thought of running a legacy campaign. The plan was to have the players make two characters, one a beginning level and one a no points cap level hero who is no longer active for one reason or another. The new character being the legacy hero that the players used, the bigger character stored by evil GM to use in plothooks, old hunteds, dnpc's, etc popping up.

I'd vote for Color art in the books, but I will say this, the Art in Hero has been pretty darn good. I have no real complaints this time around, save for my twice voice continuity quibbles.

We did it inadvertantly, mostly normal XP for adventuring with some big "point bursts" at certain points in the campaign.

If you set limits on active points, then all the EC's and MP's allow you to do is have more abilities that you can use together (or not in MP with Ultra slots). Why is that such a bad thing? I don't think that any of the power frameworks are abusive if you enforce the existing rules of FRED and of your campaign.

There is also the Agency that is recruiting Strype. They are cool just to think of. BTW, you are far more used to the series than I; does Fred dangle plotlines for eons or does he usually address them?

Brianna scares me. In the most recent issue, she blasted a monster with no bullets in her guns...Not to mention her "pets". I wish I had more information on Gar, Strype and the rest. The first writup I might try is Luan. She's figured fairly prominantly lately and is a fairly straight forward Martial Artist.

Blame Susano and Logan Darklighter. Its because of a link from Susano's site to Logan's site that got me reading the series. Definately an Anime Martial Arts Campaign. Out right superheroes (some even have costumes!) This comic sometimes seems like an RPG campaign to me, there are always new character popping up, each with a large backstory and it goes in various directions at once. I know Logan wrote up Gina, Brianna, and Britanny Diggers, any one tried any of the others? If not I'll give it a try and post them, but be warned, I will overpower them...

Very cool thread. I want in too. BTW, was the lower defenses to speed up combat thing universal? Are most villains down about 5 pts as well?

We did it and it was fun. It was also the second longest campaign.
