  1. Re: 5th Edition Villain Updates I would love to see that! PM me if you can.
  2. Re: Der Psychology of der Super Human This actually reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode. In this one a common hood type guy gets killed and goes to the afterlife. When he gets there he finds he has full run of his own city. He do anything he wants and even has a manservant who arranges everything for him. At first it's alot of fun, he gambles and always wins. He has beautiful women at his beck and call. Then it all goes bad when he realizes that everything is planned ahead of time. It gets boring and pointless. He finally tells his manservant that he doesn't want to live in heaven anymore he wants to go to the other place. The reply is said with an evil grin. "You are in the other place".
  3. Re: Hero System women are all insanely attractive Could we see a pic of Tina? You got me all curious.
  4. Re: Hero System women are all insanely attractive George Perez does a pretty good job of making differently attractive women in his artwork. Check out his run on the Avengers, I thought FireStar and Scarlet Witch looked considerably different.
  5. Hi, I have a developing superteen game that I am running presently set in San Fransisco. I started it from the very beginning, where the PC's first got thier powers and have just now after about two months of playing they have just came up with codenames and a name for thier team, The Citizen League. One thing they haven't come up with is a base of operations and a team vehicle. So I was wondering if you other players could toss out some of your campaign's vehicle and base write-ups for inspiration. I think it would be fun.
  6. Re: Der Psychology of der Super Human This reminds me of a character from San Angelo Enemies. He is called Mastermind. He was originally a superhero who one day decided that society needed help and he started to use his mental powers to eliminate criminal impulses in their minds. He eventually had his own followers who were all reformed criminals who felt they were in his debt for making them productive citizens. Then there was a social reformer type in underworld enemies called the Hanged Man. He really didn't have any superpowers except for a really high intelligence.
  7. Re: Fake TV-Shows The Max Payne console games had some T.V. shows in it. One was Lords and Ladies which was a medievel soap opera, ala harlequin romance type show. Another was Captain Baseball BatBoy a kids cartoon, and something called Address Unknown (I think) which was supposed be a Nowhere Man type spoof. Also don't forget that the Champions Universe has a superhero soap opera called To Save The World, starring Justic Force Omega.

He was the only son of the famously rich Marsh family, who had made millions in stock investments. His father and mother were loving, caring parents who taught him strong values so that he would not grow up to be a spoiled rich kid. They taught him hard work and to use his advantages to help those less fortunate then himself. Yes, everything was going well for Stan, he had a bright future, good parents, a lot of money and was destined to one day take over for his father’s philanthropic ways. That was until his 13th birthday. The authorities would later report that it was a simple brake malfunction that caused their limosuene to skid off the highway and go crashing down the hill. It didn’t matter to Stan though. His father and mother, Lance and Emily Marsh were dead. What made matters worse was that he was himself paralyzed with a damage spinal column from the neck down. He was almost completely disabled with no ability to talk or even feed himself. Although he was provided for with a medical staff to watch him and never had to worry about finances it didn’t matter to Stan. Everything he had was gone. For years he laid in bed doing nothing but watch T.V., sleep and weep for his loss. It wasn’t until one of his nurses left a paperback copy of Elery Queen open for him to read that he found some-thing to hang onto. He managed to communicate by blinking his eyes until the medical staff understood what he wanted. Soon he found himself devouring mysteries. He read everything from Elery Queen, Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, Mickey Spilliane, Nero Wolfe, and so many others. He also read more fantastic fiction like comic books from the golden age as well as pulps. This eventually caused him to develop an interest in criminology and forensics. He soon started reading books on investigations and criminal psychology. Eventually when he was prepared for college after being home schooled for 5 years he enrolled at Stanford University for a B.A. in criminal justice. College was a big move for Stan and it was difficult for him to get used to the staring and whispering he got. He had gotten better in the later years. He found he could move some of his fingers and had a special voice box put in that allowed him to speak to others electronically. He was also equipped with a motorized wheelchair that gave him more freedom. Still with all of this Stan still fought depression and despair daily. He felt useless and because of his stranged appearance he had no friends that wanted to associate with the weird looking crippled. It finally came to ahead when his social studies class was giving out an assignment on the comparison of ancient cultures to modern ones. He was paired with two other students who were both beautiful and popular women. They stuck around for exactly 12 minutes before they excused themselves to get ‘freshened up’ and never came back. Stan felt crushed by yet another rejection and felt himself ready to give up and end it all when something happened. For a brief second, the entire room where he was sitting was covered in the most intense bright light that he had ever seen. He instantly felt himself changed to the core of his being. Suddenly he didn’t feel so hopeless, somehow he felt that from that moment on things were going to be different. Then he saw something he hadn’t seen since he was 13 years old. He saw his feet. But his feet were strange looking. They didn’t look like human feet, but were instead scaly with three large toes. He then looked at the rest of his body and was astounded to find that his entire body was now 12 feet tall with huge hands and feet. He also realized that his wheelchair had somehow morphed into a tough durable turtle shell. He then heard the sound of people coming to the door and panicked wishing that he didn’t look like some huge turtle monster. He was then amazed again to find himself back in his wheelchair just as he had been before. Unsure of what to do at first Stan bided his time and waited for winter break. He found a private place and when his medical was not watching him he experimented. He discovered that he possesed immense strength and was very durable. He could also changed back into his human form whenever he wanted. His only problem was that he was hideously monstrous and barely able to talk in his turtle form. Still, he had mobility and tremendous strength and decided that providence had blessed him with a second chance. He would for the cause of justice as: TURTLE FIST Powers/Tactics: Campaign Use:
  11. Re: Queer Eye for the Superhero Guy There was another story a couple of issues before that one the Spider Man went forward in time and met an older version of himself how was wearing the aforementioned costume. BTW, isn't it Spidey's usual luck that the one superhero who gets his costume so tore up so much of the time is the only one who years later finally finds a tailor that everyone else in the Marvel Universe knew about? Poor Spidey.
  12. Hey there, I was thinking about the thread about the Island of Dr. Destroyer and I was wondering if anyone here ran or played in the Day of the Destroyer adventure. I had a group play in it once where they had to fight Deathstroke and the supervillian team in the adventure. I had a group that was primarily a mystic type team, everyone had to have a magic/supernatural background. This was OK, but no one had any technical skills so I had a government agent type super come along to help. He was called the Protector, sort of a Captian America/Iron Man hero. The other characters where Arcana, a sorceror with a magic VPP Tombstone, a sentient stone Golem Isgerd, an Asgardian Valkrie and Corax, a Wereraven The funny thing about it was in the final battle with Destroyer Protector got knocked out by DD's RKA (the rolled a 3), and the Vindicators had to simply destroy Sennacharib.
  13. Re: So I ran my Island of Dr. Destroyer one off... Wow. Very cool adventure. I wish I could have been there. I would have played a brick myself but that's just me.
  14. Re: Monty Haul DnD vets: need your help for NPC villain team How about an Ewok Sith Lord?
  15. Re: D & D Diatribe A friend of mine that I play with believes that Gandalf is actually a 8-9 level Paladin with a level of Sorceror.

  17. Re: Hypothetical Axis Amerika 2005 Just gotta toss this out here. If it ever comes out of DVD or VHS or if Cartoon Network ever shows it again you might want to check out the "Savage Time". It is a Justice League movie where Vandal Savage deposes Hitler and takes over, enabling the Germans to win WWII.
  18. Re: A Golden Age Bulldozer? I once used Bulldozer in my Golden Age game. He was an army corps of engineer Seargent who ended up getting arrested for striking his superior. He was taken from his bus ride to Leavenworth by a supervillian and given superpowers. He still had the same attitude as the modern one.
  19. Re: Hypothetical Axis Amerika 2005 Sorry, I stand corrected. Too bad about his kid though.....
  20. Re: Hypothetical Axis Amerika 2005 Lindburgh was not the sympathizer some have made him out to be. He believed that the Luftwaffe was a very powerful airforce and didn't want the U.S. to get involved in the War in Europe. He immediatedly signed up to be civilian pilot and did shoot down enemy planes.
  21. Hi I am looking for a good map of a Air Force base. I have an adventure taking place at Treasure Isle NAS in San Fransisco and I thought I good map of an Air Force base would help immensely for my SuperTeen game. Could anyone direct me to some links?
  22. Re: Sample Oddity From Gestalt-Earth In the comic PS328 there is a rainmaker program. This is a program for young supers who have powers that are not really powerful but more useful. There is one child who has the ability to make rocks into edible food that taste like anything he wants it to. Unfortunately he can't make it look like anything but rocks. The food is also low in fat and calories.
  23. Re: The Champions Do they suck? Digital Hero has provided write-ups of both the Fabulous Five and the Sentinals. They are not neccessarily high powered characters but they are rather interesting. They also have the Millenium City 8.
  24. Re: Champs Worldwide: Whaddya want? Or Golden Age Champions for that matter.
