Re: What Would Your Character Do? #68 Ok, let him run the world. With no help at all. Let him make all the choices and decisions by himself. Let him assume every single responsibility that has to do with governing the lives of 8 billion people. I give him a week before he quits or has a nervous breakdown.

Re: What genre is Champions really about? That reminds me of that Justice League TAS episode "A Better World". Superman kills Lex Luthor and the Justice League turn the world into a police state.

Re: Why play Fantasy Hero over other fantasy games? I have considered Fantasy Hero and eventually bought Conan the RPG with my birthday money instead. Why? Because in my present group about half of them are almost anti-Hero. Sure they will play it, they recently play- tested Enemy of my Enemy for me, but when it comes to Fantasy they probably would not play anything Hero because they consider D&D to be much more simpler and easier to understand. They will complain that Hero has too big a learning curve and that they would continue to play a D20 game because they don't want to go to the trouble of making yet another Champions/Hero character. As you can probably tell I am a little bitter about this. So I bought Conan because at least with Conan I can play a less magic heavy game that relies on the PC's using intelligence and wit to survive instead of just pulling out yet another created magic item to deal with the problem. Another problem with D&D as well is that outside of High Fantasy you can't really do any kind of low magic, sword and sorcery type game because the system is designed with a power gamer mentality. With Fantasy Hero you can make up your own campaign world they way you want it.

Re: Artemis DC character Aritems was a rape victim in the Underworld Enemies I think. She was a man hating feminist who used a powered suit and a crossbow-like weapon. She focused mainly on rapists and wife beaters. She got the weapon from the Hanged Man.

Hello, Just ran an Alien War game last night and some of the characters had Rapid Autofire as a skill. The game turned out OK for the most part but I was hoping you could breakdown how rapid autofire works with say a 3 shot autofire attack. Thank you.

Re: Spiderman Vs. Firelord On the subject of Air-Walker, the robot did take on the Fantastic Four single handedly without working up a sweat. It eventually took the appearance of the Silver Surfer to finally destroy him.

Re: What's the most useless supplement you'd actually like to see? One supplement I would like to see would be something like the Ultimate Package Deal . A book that would have alot of occupational packages. Not just for police or military but for everything from physicists to gym teacher to housewife, etc. That would help alot in character creation IMO.

Re: Spiderman Vs. Firelord There was a What if? story called What if the Punisher killed Spiderman?. In this story Frank initially tries to snipe Spidey and keeps missing because of his spider sense. So the Jackal comes up with an idea. He has the Punisher put a dummy of Doc Ock in window of an apartment with a bomb and waits for Spider Man to show up. Spider Man thinks that Doc Ock is registering his danger sense not the bomb and Parker gets killed in the explosion. Oh, and BTW the Punisher ends up killing the Jackal at the end.

I was just wondering if there was going to be a character pack for Alien Wars. It would be really helpful to me as I want to run a campaign in the near future.

Re: Global Guardians - Champs by email (review) This whole PBEM sounds really interesting, but have a few questions. What is available? What campaigns are accepting players? Do the campaigns usually last? Many PBEM that I have been involved with, including two Hero Central games, have started out good but then just fell apart.

Hi all, I was reading on another thread about writing up Dirty Harry Callahan for Hero but I was wondering if anyone had any personal information about the character. Also I was wondering if anyone has ever tried writing up this classic 70's character using Hero or any system for that matter. Thank you for your support

Re: What super hero concepts would you like to see more of? I had a character like that in my Champions game once. Her name was Arcana. She was basically a sorceror who had a Magic VPP at 45 pts. She didn't have really powerful attacks but she could do things like heal, sense and discriminate different types of magic and had a killer enhanced senses suite. She was basically a sideline type but we had enough front-liners that it wasn't a problem. And to the answer your question I would like to have a Batman type character in my game. An invesigative type would be nice because otherwise I always have to supply some NPC detective to do all the work. Also I have never had a character with no powers ala, Captain America, Batman type. That is something I would like to see.

Re: Iron Age Challenge 2! There was an issue of the Punisher where he goes back in time with Reed Richards time machine to the 20's to kill Al Capone. He ends up going back and getting a job as a hitman, working his way up the ladder to get close enough to Capone. He eventually succeeds, dying in the process only to wake up from dream that it all turned out to be.
