  1. I think a great deal of MCU Civil War will hinge on the treatment of Winter Soldier. Cap is basically saying we can reform this guy and the trailers keep showing him using lethal force against non-villains. The gunshot in Stark's face may be Tony's tipping point and the shot at Rhodey the clincher.
  2. Remembering this from a Steve ruling which caused me to house rule it in my games. Don't have access to 5er right now.
  3. There was still a doubling rule in 5th but Deadly Blow adds to base damage. The 2 DC cestus goes to 5 DC and you get 3 DC from STR and 2 DC from Martial Strike. You get to 10 DC so a 3d6+1 HKA.
  4. Area effect hexes, reduced by range with indirect to point it toward you. Max damage at the far point and less closer to you.
  5. Off the top of my head: PRE attacks, perhaps with a linked Aid. Drain OCV/DCV vs Mental Defense Extra Levels linked to PRE attacks.
  6. I'd trust Coulson above the leader of Hydra.
  7. Why not just tell Coulson and get the team looking for his son from the beginning? Then pretend to go along with Malick until the last moment.
  8. There is an optional rule in APG1 or 2 that allows mentalists to stack powers. The primary is at full strength and the others contribute 1/4 of their power.
  9. This is the flip side of the sell-off issue and its basically this. Vulnerabilities and Susceptibilities are Character Options. They are not required unless there is a campaign house rule that the GM mandates They do not have to follow obvious logic. I've seen fire vulnerable to air and water to cold but perfectly fine vs their opposites.
  10. Loving all the super fights this season. Talbot should take a big fall for this, tho he had good reason.
  11. I've seen that done, but they had alternates pre-made.
  12. Ok, selling back running and taking the physical complication is fine if you're willing to accept the consequences. Selling back something and expecting no consequences is not.
  13. Professor X is a very bad example of your point. His sell back of running affects the character and plot greatly as it comes up all the time in comics(not so much in the movies tho.) And that's the point that seems to be missing, all sell backs aren't the same though they may have the same numerical value. Challenge: What other Characteristic will you sell back to 1 besides OMCV/DMCV and not expect to have it come up in play.
  14. It's not automatically munchkin, but becomes so if it comes up as a plot hook excessively(gm fault) or becomes a whine fest(player fault). It should be treated as a role play plot hook.
  15. I work just as hard to reward PS and KS as I do to challenge Complications and buybacks. I suspect players remember detriments more than rewards but I have seen the abuses mentioned. Remember your GM is relying on you for plot hooks and should use the ones you gave him, both good and bad.
  16. It even look like Hedorah. (The Smog Monster, hope I spelled that right)
  17. History lesson Dany Rand is a blond haired caucasian in the comics. No need to change especially if Misty and Colleen are cast according to comics and Shang-Chi is included. Shang-Chi is better than Dany and Daredevil by skill, but their powers give them an edge. Again according to comics canon. Look up the old Moench/Gulacy run on Shang-Chi or the old Deadly Hands of Kung-fu magazine to see the best runs of these characters and White Tiger's origin.
  18. This cast is overcoming the show's shortcomings.
  19. The short hairstyle is relatively new in comic. Came with the John's JLA run.
  20. Well, at least it seems they plotted it from the beginning of the season. That gives me hope.
  21. It is purely Munchkin. Unless the GM gives them to you as campaign background, Limitations and Complications are picked by the player but they only come up if the GM puts them into the story. If they don't come up, you got points for free. Selling back Characteristics/Movement gets you points. If you got points, it should come up and should be as frequent as the equivalent point value in Limitations or Complications. Otherwise, points are being taken for free.
