  1. Re: Champions Jargon Char-men: People that can't take a grab and crush from the team brick. TV Repair Man: A Character in a stupid and unconvincing disguise that works because of a great roll. You see your Grandpa: Player Character has just been killed. Sumo Ninja: A Brick that tries to be stealthy. Invincible Afghan: Any minor NPC that somehow manages to stay alive and concious against a super. It was coined by me durring a game of Risk. The last territory I owned was Afghanistan and I only had one army defending it, I won every defense for an hour!
  2. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Some new people moved in nextdoor to my parents and two of them stole my parents ladder. Turns out they are the cousins of my sister's boyfriend. So he made them give back the ladder and cut my parents grass. True story.

  4. Re: If I were an Evil Overlord.... I was in a game like that. It was a whole lot of fun.
  5. Re: Tapping into a mindlink? Use a Detect. I think that would be the best way. Detect Information Transmitted by Mindlink, discriminitory, analyze, Sense (Mental)
  6. Re: Star Wars - Balancing Jedi with everyone else and heroic vs. superheroic I for one am disgusted with the way this whole topic has been discussed. Especially from Manic Typist and Nolgroth! Here we are nearing the end of 2005 and we still have people who don't know how to have a proper arguement over the internet. Where are the accusations of homosexuallity? Where are the threats against eachothers famillies? And where are the sacred cries of "n00b!1!"? And how dare you reasonably concede points when a convincing arguement is made! For shame, Manic Typist, for shame Nolgroth.
  7. Re: Star Wars - Balancing Jedi with everyone else and heroic vs. superheroic I think it pretty safe to assume that Jedi are capable fighters with or with out their lightsabers no matter what the range. In revenge of the sith Obi-Wan loses his lightsaber in the battle against Grievous he picks up and uses a blaster quiet competently. Leading me to believe that the Jedi council realised that their would be times were a jedi might not have their lightsaber and trainned them for that event. [Geek Level Star Wars Talk] I would point out that there is no such thing as a light Jedi power or a Dark Jedi power, its all in how its used. Darth Vader chokes people to death with the same power Lukes uses to pull his lightsaber to him or Yoda uses to lift an X-Wing. It wouldn't have surprised me to see Obi-Wan or Yoda use Force Lightning against non living things, say a door control on the other side of the room or a pack of assassin droids. Of course some powers are easier to use for good and some for evil. And as for the slug throwers versus a lightsaber? A lightsaber blade can cut through AT-AT armor or melt its way through an armored door. A bullet doesn't stand a chance. [/Geek Level Star Wars Talk]
  8. Re: WWYCD?: Nice Kitty... Titan: Would find the cat and then eat it.
  9. In your campaign worlds do leaders of various contriies have superhumans on their protection teams? If so have you designed them and what powers do they have?
  10. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Falleen The Falleen are a scaled, cold-blooded, reptilian humanoid species with pigmentation that varies with mood, known to be as long lived as the Hutts (the Falleen have an average lifespan of 250 Standard Years) who inhabit and originate from the planet Falleen. They are capable of exuding pheromones that make all but the most determined of humanoids of opposite sex become strongly attracted to them, in addition to their intrinsic beauty and symmetry. They also possess considerable physical prowess and the ability to hold their breath for prolonged periods, both thanks to their reptilian heritage. The most well known Falleen is Prince Xizor, the head of the criminal organization Black Sun during the late Empire. Their reserve, and cultural snobbery, has led to the Falleen adopting an isolationist stance, protecting their feudal social structures and culture; their natural secretive tendencies were only reinforced by a tragic accident: -6 ABY, an Imperial bioweapons laboratory located in a major Falleen city, which was a personal project of Darth Vader, suffered a leak of an advanced, highly virulent, flesh-eating microorganism into the city- to stop the plague from spreading, Darth Vader commanded that Order Base-Delta-Zero be executed on the city and its environs, or in other words, massive orbital bombardment meant to destroy all vectors for the organism, and the micro-organism itself. This led to the death of 200,000 Falleen, among which were all of Xizor's relatives (a probable explanation for his vendetta against Darth Vader). Sadly I knew all this before going to Wikipdia.
  11. Re: TGhe massively Multiplayer Snare It sounds a lot like the Matrix. Still it would be fun to run.
  12. Re: Street Level NYC heros No none of them even remotely qualify as street level, I was just listing some of the other heroes Marvel has stationed in NY. There's so many you can't spit off the Empire State building without hitting at least one hero.
  13. Re: Street Level NYC heros The X-Men, Spider-Man, the Avengers.
  14. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign The UN in your game also seems to be a worthwhile and effective organization as opposed to the real world.
  15. I'm building a villain who has a powered armor suit. Inside the suit is an AI that I want to be able to operate the suit if for some reason the man inside is knocked out. How should a build that computer? Just give it some TFs and WFs and Combat Piloting and Driving along with a program or two? I know I could just hand wave it but I want to stat it out.
  16. Re: Be like unto a god Lets never speak of a super Tyson ever again...well after the first fifty ear jokes or so.
  17. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat "And now for the only good reason to leave Wolverine on the team...shower time."
  18. Re: Dr. Doom vs Iron Man I know for a fact it would be Jesus. I once saw him clothsline Superman and then make him eat a kitten. Jesus is so badass.
  19. Re: Be like unto a god I don't think it would be an issue. They wouldn't be allowed to compete in the Olympics.

Re: The Fox He looks good to me. The only thing I might add is some CSLs with his Fox Fu.
  21. Re: This week on "Champions"... The Defenders, Tuesday 7:00pm- After being attacked by a Genocide Minuteman and taken to the newest Genocide base deep with in the Austrialian wilds, Metalmorph discovers the joy of turning millisiles into clubs, and Mystic learns an important lesson about overwhelming numbers.
  22. Re: Gravity Trap Use Density Increase AoE, Usable as an Attack, with a +1 custom Addvantage Positive Affects are not applied. Ta da! Weak characters won't have the strength to move their own bodies and stronger characters might be able to fight their way out.
  23. Re: What Would Your Character Do #33 Hell Walker would get very angry and insist that metahumans have souls. She should know hers was held by a major demon for a long time. Blood Maiden knows that while she doesn;t have a soul her teammates do and so do most other metahumans. Preacher would track down the villians and kill them while they slept, you can't attack the Pope!
