Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 Okay, I got something- The Inhuman Royal Family, since departed for Parts Unknown, womewhere in space, send back an emissary to Earth, to remind Earth's heroes of the Inuhmans, and in general, check up on their planet- make sure the Kree aren't doing more genetic experimentation, Maximus hasn't released a plague, whatever. Furthermore, if this emissary determines that Earth is safe to return to, the Inhumans may send a colony back to Attillan (wherever the writers decided it should be this time). Since this mission is not that high a priority though, they send a young and relatively inexperienced member of the family, or one who has fallen out of favor with the Council (who would not therefore be able to summon the entire race at a moment's notice, call on them to give him technology or support- basically, make this emissary effectively stranded and cut off for some years). My character would be this emissary.

Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists Regardless of what style of martial arts Captain America employs, he is the benchmark by which other fighters are judged. He is at least in the top 5, and I would say he is probably #1. No logic employed here; it's just how they write him.

Re: What's Up With Combat Skill Levels? GM's option. I think the book says you can't put a limitation on anything less than a 5-pt level, but you can change that if you want to.

Re: Costume fixation (Get your mind out of the gutter) Thor is totally heraldic. You can't miss the shiny hat with the wings on it. Batman is totally iconic. I can't think of black grey and yellow without thinking of Batman. I can't think of a bat without thinking of Batman. I can't think of a caped silhouette without thinking of Batman. Spawn is Prowler in a new color scheme.

Re: CHAR: The Flash I think you ought to write him as SPD 5, DEX 23, with loads of lightning reflexes and a self-aid to SPD. He's very fast movement-wise, but he doesn't think as fast as many other JLAers.

Re: HERO combat - somewhat abstract or entirely specific? It's abstract in exactly the same way that calculus is abstract: the steps between start and finish are hard to understand and may or may not relate to actual phenomena; but the end result is always surprisingly accurate.
