  1. Re: Ask a Stupid Question..... a Braille game
  2. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 Does he still wear a pink birdcage in his head?

  4. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 Not something I'm intersted in doing myself, but don't forget about the Eternals, either currently known or a brand-new one; the Deviants; Any of the many space-faring characters from the Kree-Skrull wars; alternate-dimension Avengers like the Squadron Supreme or more traditional near-clones of current or past Avengers; or even the descendents of their enemies- think of people like Ultron, the Grim Reaper, Morgan le Fay, Loki, Dr. Doom, Dr. Demonicus... lots of good backstory there
  5. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 Okay, I got something- The Inhuman Royal Family, since departed for Parts Unknown, womewhere in space, send back an emissary to Earth, to remind Earth's heroes of the Inuhmans, and in general, check up on their planet- make sure the Kree aren't doing more genetic experimentation, Maximus hasn't released a plague, whatever. Furthermore, if this emissary determines that Earth is safe to return to, the Inhumans may send a colony back to Attillan (wherever the writers decided it should be this time). Since this mission is not that high a priority though, they send a young and relatively inexperienced member of the family, or one who has fallen out of favor with the Council (who would not therefore be able to summon the entire race at a moment's notice, call on them to give him technology or support- basically, make this emissary effectively stranded and cut off for some years). My character would be this emissary.
  6. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 I suppose some of the Inhuman royal family would be an option?
  7. Re: If YOU have been playing Hero since the 80's why do you still keep coming back? 1988 for me. Ditto. Repped.
  8. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 I'm thinking, I'll play one of the Teen Brigade. Or Consuela's niece.
  9. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 I think he said about 500. Which makes sense for the premiere team of their time.m Global Guardians uses 350 + 150 for their top teams.
  10. Re: Eating your lunch... The DC SUPERHEROES game from WEG was an awesome-looking product at a good price... until you realized how bad it sucked. Stick with the genuine article.
  11. Re: Comics that I miss. I miss late-80's Avenger's Spotlight with the 17/5 breakdown. I think I'm the only person who ever subscribed to that and had it sent to my house.
  12. Re: [interest in an online game?] Avengers: Generation 3 I like Supreme Serpent's idea! And I'd love to play, providing I come up with something playable. I suppose Thor would be an NPC huh? (I imagine he's still alive, being immortal and all.)
  13. Re: Essential OHOTMU: worth it or not? They have Hank Pym as an Intellect 4. That's laughable.
  14. Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists That would be boring, Stick is dead.
  15. Re: All-New Iron Age Zoo Crew? Does Captain Carrot still read a comic book called Just aLot of Animals?
  16. Re: The Character Idea Thread I'd like to design the shoes of a character, who used to have a giant fighting robot, but now only has the shoes. His name is Enormo, the Super Tap-Dancer.
  17. Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists Regardless of what style of martial arts Captain America employs, he is the benchmark by which other fighters are judged. He is at least in the top 5, and I would say he is probably #1. No logic employed here; it's just how they write him.
  18. Re: DC Universe Overview See, the beauty of Marvel is, they don't need to retcon anything- they just have Franklin Richards fix it. Case by case, in continuity, with no big reboots.
  19. Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists Gotta move Punisher up to the third tier. He doesn't get beat in hand-to-hand. I think everyone else is about right. Add Crossbones to the second tier. He always gives Cap a fight.
  20. Re: What's Up With Combat Skill Levels? GM's option. I think the book says you can't put a limitation on anything less than a 5-pt level, but you can change that if you want to.
  21. Re: Costume fixation (Get your mind out of the gutter) Thor is totally heraldic. You can't miss the shiny hat with the wings on it. Batman is totally iconic. I can't think of black grey and yellow without thinking of Batman. I can't think of a bat without thinking of Batman. I can't think of a caped silhouette without thinking of Batman. Spawn is Prowler in a new color scheme.
  22. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Dude, I'm so totally there. I'm gonna sell my car for one of those.
  23. Re: Costume fixation (Get your mind out of the gutter) Totally repped!
  24. Re: CHAR: The Flash I think you ought to write him as SPD 5, DEX 23, with loads of lightning reflexes and a self-aid to SPD. He's very fast movement-wise, but he doesn't think as fast as many other JLAers.
  25. Re: HERO combat - somewhat abstract or entirely specific? It's abstract in exactly the same way that calculus is abstract: the steps between start and finish are hard to understand and may or may not relate to actual phenomena; but the end result is always surprisingly accurate.
