There is a "Satellite Link" build in Dark Champions (page 280). The build is basically for the sort of spy satellite that you see in shows like "24."

The one that always stays with me was a mini-campaign revolving around an invasion of Earth by spaceborn "Lovecraftian" aliens who were simultaneously attempting to free their extra-dimensional kin imprisoned by ancient powers eons ago. The GM ended up weaving elements from most of the Champions books published to that point that referred to such beings. Our group was an ad-hoc assemblage of the most powerful heroes who had been published for Champions - I got to play my favorite character, Nuada of the Silver Hand from Kingdom of Champions.

The climax of the series had two major battles occurring simultaneously: one group of us assaulted the space invaders' mothership, while the other attempted to prevent the opening of a gate to the prison dimension. The action shifted from one to the other each Turn. Nuada was in the battle at the gate, and at one point had to hold off both War and Death of the Horsemen (Wrath of the Seven Horsemen) until the rest of the heroes could bug out. Nuada Teleported away moments before the other team brought the mothership crashing down on top of the gate, burying it forever.

I had a long-standing VPP Telemechanic named Arch.

One of the other PCs had some five hunteds on his character, all on an 8-. As it just so happened, the GM started rolling dice, and all five showed up. At once.

Combat Ensued. Myself and another PC were inside a bank dealing with one villain, while the other three PCs were outside dealing with the other four. Through four turns of combat, I finished off the villain inside, after he'd KOed the other PC. I walk outside the bank, to find myself facing off with the four other villains. They'd taken the entire party.

They bantered at me, demanding my surrender. I don't remember what exactly was said, but I basically told them where to stick it, and whipped out the VPP. Four shots fired. Four villains down. 1. 2. 3. 4.

I picked up my friends and walked away.

Wow. I seem to be really stuck in this green color schemes area.

But this is Tachyon. A character in the RDU who's been around almost from its beginning. Albeit, spottingly played by M. And he's been a green color scheme for decade plus.

But Tachyon has been dusted off again and in actual play, got a new costume of crystaltech enhancment. Any similarity to my own PC's outfit (Vector) is absolutely on purpose. Crystaltech is a lynchpin of RDU... and Vector's TK can transform C-tech. Tachyon and Vector rebuilt the suit after a "future' mechanon's cyber-infection.

During Saturday night's Star Wars Hero game. The campaign is set in the Old Republic era many years before the movies. Our group of, most Jedi padawan characters, had been sent to open contact between the Republic and an independent planet. While there we had quarters in the royal palace. Our rooms featured a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard.

It's legal, though it kind of weakens the effectiveness of the LoW. Whether it's appropriate is up to the GM.

Jeff gave me an exhaustive description. I hope I did his team justice. To those others that I have commissions to do for, I will be getting to them slowly and surely. Origins is eating up a bit of time due to prep. But I'll be taking sketches to do with me.

At a recent conference about the future, someone did a brilliant satire of a company involved in vampire research. This is practically a Champions or Dark Champions scenario pre-built for you.

The presentation is available on the web here. Warning: the presentation is a half-hour long but it's well worth the time.

Edsel reacted to pruttm in DEMON Adventures
Ages ago I started a meta-plotline in my Champions game that lasted nearly five years. The main adversary was a version of DEMON that was based on Classic Organizations DEMON but enhanced with my own characters and ideas. I really liked the idea of the Inner Circle including different magical backgrounds. I decided that each Inner Circle member ran a branch of DEMON but had access to the DEMON technology, artifacts and wealth. I took the building blocks of Doctor Wu and created the Immortal sorcerer Blood Dragon. At his right-hand was a man named Blood Finger. He was a fiercely loyal but very sadistic martial arts master. Blood Dragon's goal was to build an ancient artifact called the Orb of Omniscience. This item was created eons ago by a god that wanted to part with his power. He poured his powers into the orb and split it into five sections. The god created pieces because his power couldn't be destroyed. Each section was flung to different corners of the world so it could not be easily assembled again. The god then walked away to experience the life of a mortal. Each piece was very powerful and wanted to be used. Each one found a way to evolve into something valuable to humanity in its region. When they fell into human hands it helped to fuel various groups into long lasting existence. The pieces managed to empower the lives of the Greeks, The Norse, The Aztecs, The Celts and the oddest being a cult based on the god Pyaray from Moorcook's Elric Saga. More on that strangeness later. The Egyptian people were also intertwined with these objects as they attempted to reassemble the Orb before anyone in history attempted the feat.

DEMON and the player characters moved through each adventure that uncovered the pieces in modern times and attempted to secure the Orb piece before the other. During the creation of one of these scenarios I took a stab at writing an adventure book just to see how it would turn out. Here I present The Mystery of Sable Island.doc which details the first few acts in the adventure to locate the orb piece that fueled the now long dead Pyaray cult. Inside are details on the locales of Sable Island and The offshore energy platformThebaud. Character details for Blood Finger, the eccentric Russ Mason and the songstress Howler. rigs, a giant squid, sorcerers and song...what's not to like? All this is complemented by photos, art, and maps in Microsoft Word format.

If there is interest I can locate more odds and ends from the final act of this adventure which didn't make it into the document above as well as other interesting pieces from my campaign's DEMON.
