It is somewhat understandable to immediately equate Nazis only with the atrocities that occurred from 1939-45, but that happened because they were allowed to get to that horrible endgame.  Not enough people spoke up in the 20s when they were formed, nor in the 30s when they came to power.  The Nazi party was probably dismissed as extremists.  They had a measure of popularity because of a strong economy, a narrative that sparked a beaten down populace with calls similar to 'Make Germany Great Again', and a leader that knew just what to say to the lowest common denominator.

Yeah, I'm not sure how this even came into that discussion. AFAIK, everyone from the doctor on down in the clinic is specially trained and these are private practices anyway. So, it's not like anyone's being forced to participate in the GCS process. Which only leaves people not wanting to provide routine or emergency care that's not related to the process.

Here's what I found, for others who may not have heard it. From Snopes:

Pretty messed up. If you have religious objections to providing medical service to anyone, then you need to find a new line of work.

And Severino seems to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue of gender confirmation surgery (hopefully I used the current terminology this time). There are very well-established protocols leading up to GRS to ensure that it's being used on the right patients* and as far as I know there are less issues with the process than in the past. EDIT: The footnote got sucked into the quote block for some reason, but the part after the * below is not part of the quote, it's my footnote on care standards. I can't edit the quote sections of the new board as the code doesn't show.

Maybe not for you personally, but if Hillary had been elected we wouldn't have concentration camps in my home state.
We wouldn't have a serial sexual abuser as our latest Supreme Court justice.
Our deficit wouldn't be skyrocketing at record pace from tax cuts that serve to concentrate wealth even more into the hands of the wealthiest.
We wouldn't have a federal government that wants to strip me of the right to exist in public.
We wouldn't be in the process of completely destroying the United States' status as a world leader.
We wouldn't be in a trade war that serves only to stoke the ego of a petulant man-child.
We wouldn't have the most corrupt administration since the Taft administration (and possibly ever).
We wouldn't have a president who takes every opportunity to stoke the fear of other.
We wouldn't have Nazis in the administration with the ear of the president.

Exactly how would it have been worse under Hillary?

It was a sad day for me when I realized that the amount of Star Wars I liked was outweighed by the amount of Star Wars I didn't like.

    Good films:
    Star Wars
    Empire
    Jedi

    Okay to decent films:
    Rey movie (okay)
    Rogue One (decent)

    Bad movies:
    Prequels
    Luke imposter movie

    Refused to watch:
    Han Faux-lo movie

A Kylo redemption arc would complete the 3rd trilogy being a parallel of the first.

But the obvious answer is that Rey is impregnated by the Force Ghost of Emperor Palpatine, then hurtled across time and space to end up on Tattoine where she takes the name Shmi Skywalker and,  never revealing her past, claims that the boy has no father.

But maybe they have some twist in mind rather than that too-obvious approach.

Well it wasn't clear Luke died, just that he... fell over for no apparent reason after acting like a completely different person than 3 previous films established him being.

No, it didn't. It only established that Coulson's a bit of a smartass who likes Dad jokes. Nothing more.

Nowhere is a character named "Jessica" mentioned.  There are some bystanders, yes.  And one of them is a brunette girl.  But... so what?  The character didn't appear in 1964.

I take issue with this.  Winter Soldier didn't appear in 1941.  Bucky did, but he didn't become Winter Soldier until over 60 years later.

They've also got Thor showing up in 1950, but I believe that was just a Thor, not the one we'd recognize.  And Jessica Jones is shown as appearing in 1964, which is about 40 years too early.

Lots of retcon in this chart.

I think you have to be looking for problems to suggest that Shield one-liner causes continuity problems.

Really, if Shield was a real life organisation and given my exposure to bureaucrats and government, the name would be getting tweaked all the time.

    1. Coulson gave the full name of the organisation for those non-comic book readers & fans so they would know what SHIELD means.

    2. This has an in-universe point in that as a secretive agency, nobody has heard of it, ergo saying "We are from SHIELD" doesn't make a lick of sense to someone like Pepper. Giving the organisation's full name does.

    3. Coulson was having a joke with Pepper. It is a fun guy.

    4. It is called a comic book, not a super-serious book. Lightheartedness and humour is a-given.

Or at morons on YouTube. Here's the actual clip, where after hearing the full name, Pepper says, "That's quite the mouthful," and Coulson quips -- quips, I say -- "I know, we're working on it."

It was very clearly a JOKE. They made a similar one on the first episode of Agents of SHIELD:
