0 END Aid?
Okay, I know this has had to have come up before, but I apparently missed it. It says in the description of Aid that it doesn't cost END to use. Is this for real? If so, why?

Vehicle STR
FREd p. 314 and TUV p. 10 are a little unclear. Where it says: It's the "in addition to its own mass" part that's throwing me. Does a vehicle's own mass count against what it can carry with its STR? In other words, can a vehicle with no extra STR over its mass carry anything more? For example, can a Size 2 vehicle (STR 20, mass 400kg) carry an additional 400kg, or is it limited to the 400kg from its STR? Later on TUV p. 10 it seems to indicate that it would be limited to its STR; specifically, the passage "Generally, a vehicle loaded with more weight than its STR can lift cannot move..." would indicate that it is limited to its STR (barrin…

Speed Penalty Skill Levels
Say I am creating a speedster. I want a way to represent his ability to do normal tasks much faster. Would it be acceptible to buy a number of 3 pt Penalty Skill Levels to represent this? Or should I buy 8 pt. Overall Skill Levels with a limitation (if so what should this limitation be worth?). Thank you.

If a computer has an enhanced sense, and the user of the computer use the data? For instance a computer may have Radar, could a player then use the radar?

Combat Luck in Multipower
A character I'm designing is going to have a Multipower that's agility-type effects (Clinging, Leaping, etc.) bought through an OIF mystic amulet. Realizing that he has no resistant defenses, I thought that perhaps buying some as Combat Luck would fit with the 'agility' theme of the Multipower. Then I had a thought; when adjusting how MUCH Combat Luck can be bought through the Multipower, how do I do it? I mean, it's a 18 pt Multipower, 12 Real (OIF). No slot can have an active cost higher than 18 points. Combat Luck is already built using Limitations to reduce its cost. Extra Time 1 Turn
I am confused regarding the Extra Time 1 Turn modifier. On the chart on page 187 it says post segment 12. In the example on page 186 (Andara's gadget) it says 1 turn segment to segment. Which is correct?

Healing Question
Is there a default class of objects the Healing power affects. By the rules, a potion that heals people could be applied to objects. Was this intentional or is the power restricted to a certain group of targets? What kind of advantage or adder is there so it could heal people and objects equally. (Say nanobots that repair flesh as well as metal.)

ehicle Non-Combat Movement
TUV specifically states that a vehicle may not buy the Advantage "Noncombat Acceleration/Deceleration" to improve the number of inches they can accelerate or decelerate per hex. Can a vehicle still buy the Advantage to reach noncombat velocity in a single Phase, as long as they still accelerate 5"/hex? On a related note: The AIM-7 Sparrow missile has SPD 6 and 40" Flight with a x32 multiplier and a 1 minute fuel charge. Using the standard movement rules it would require 1 minute, 4 seconds (32 Phases) to reach maximum velocity. Similarly, the Nuclear Space Missile; SPD 6, 40" Flight, x1000 nc, 1 minute charge; would require more than 33 minutes (1000 Phases)…

Partialy Limated Frame Works
I am at an impass under the discription of partialy limated powers (pg. 180 after the first example) it says you may have a partialy limated Framework however here on the site I find that it is unacceptable. If it is OK what would be some cases, if it is not OK then what exactly is the presadence? P.S.: I know I have asked related questions before but I am still curious. (I like the idea of players having mages with partialy limated pools.)

Mental Paralysis
Steve, Why is mental paralysis (Entangle BOECV, Works vs EGO, Not STR) only bought with the Transparent To Physical Attacks advantage and not Transparent To Both Physical and Energy Attacks? Does this mean that normally someone could target a mental entangle with a Energy Blast unless the Transparent advantage was added for both Energy as well? Thanks for you time. Acroyear II

Computer Problems
A number of odd questions involving computers: 1) If a character buys multiple vehicles (or bases), all with computers, does a single x2 multiplyer multiply the whole unit or do you need to multiply both the Vehicle and the computer (IE Foxbats Boat and car both have Foxcomputers in it, did he pay +5 or +10 for x2?) 2) If a vehicle has a computer and Multiform does the Multiform include the cost of a computer, or does it stand outside of it? Move through and Desolid
If a character has Desolid and Affects Physical World on its strength, when it performs a move through does it still take half or all of the damage (depending on if knockback was done)?

Vehicles with INT and EGO...
Maybe this isn't the right place for this question. Kindly move it if that's the case. I notice that INT and EGO start at 10, and can be bought to other levels. But PER starts based on size, and COM starts at zero. Both of these can also be bought. I don't understand why INT and EGO start at 10. I don't see any vehicles that have them in the examples (am I not looking hard enough?), nor do I see them routinely sold back to zero. So here, I guess, is the question: Vehicles don't have these characteristics unless the game master decides they should, but if he does, they come in at 10 for free. Perception followup
So, if my character is blinded, he'll need to make a hearing perception roll. So, if I spend 1/2 perceiving, does a successful roll to help conteract my blindness last until my next phase, or only for that segment? And shouldn't I have to make a perception roll vs. each attacker? I'm more interested on the defensive end, than blind attacking.

foci and inate abilities
I have a character who has in an elemetal control a 8d6 energy blast. Would it be permissable by the rules if later he added a sword that gave him more power to his energy blast (like a focus or lense) and how would this look? I read that no two frameworks can be a +xd6 to another framework? Im trying to understand a valid way of signifying this, perhaps with linked? to an energy attack?

adders and advantages; and 'q' about RSR with stat rolls
Just a question about adders and advantages. I seem to find it difficult to understand if one is suppose to apply advatnages and limitations to adders or are you suppose to 'add' them after the advanatges and limitations. Perception question
I'm so confused about the perception rules. Per FrED, it states that perception is a 1/2 phase action; however, sight is a sense, which under that description says it doesn't require a 1/2 phase to use. Am I to assume that means any perception that isn't a natural or bought as a sense? My GM thinks when I'm flashed I need to hold/abort to an action to perceive.

Reduced Penatration and KB
Steve, I was thinking of a wind attack that does little damaged to tough opponents, but heavy Knock Back. Something like an EB w/ Double KB and Reduced Penatration-- does Reduced Penatration affect KB? If so, it's back to the drawing board.

variable advantage and existing advantages
Can a advantage, in a variable advantage pool, be used to complete a existing external advantage ? example : Energy blast :XD6 + 1/2 END +1/4 + Variable advantage (+1/2): +1 can i use the variable avantage to complete the END advantage to 0 END (and then, use the remaining 1/4 to something else) ? If yes: How can i manage a possible increase of cost from other advantages ? : Ex: if i want to use the above VA to put a "autofire" on my EB; the 1/2 END cost is supposed to increase to +1/2.

Transmit
What is actually needed to recieve a Sense with Transmit on it? I've sorta inferred from TUV that it was HRRP but was curious as to whether that was correct or not. This also assumes that any sense can have that Adder on it. (Which I hope is the case).

RSR Characteristic Rolls
Hello again, When you take Requires a Skill Roll for a Power, and base it on a Characteristic or PER Roll, it says to use the Actvation table to determine the value of the Limitation. Does this still keep the benefits and drawbacks usual for RSR (Active Point penalty, only one roll needed to use Constant Powers, etc.), or is it treated as an Activation Roll in all ways? I would guess the first option above is correct, but I thought I'd ask and make sure, anyway...

Combat Movement
Here's a Q. I know that a character can acelerate up to his Full Combat Movement Velocity per phase. Natch. i.e. Speedy Guy with 20"x4NC can speed up to 80" at a rate of 20" over 4 phases. I know said character can accelerate at 5" for every hex he or she can move through. (4 hexes to reach 20" in Speedy Guys case.) I also know that it's said to be the same decelerating... but wouldn't it take a hex for every 5" velocity to slow down when a PC made a half-move or even full move at up to their full combat velocity? And if not, whats a good rule for it. I notice that many characters travelling at normal combat speeds don't seem to need/bother with decelerating t…

Resurrection Followup
If a character is brought back to life via Healing Resurrection, can he be healed further by different Healings? Example: Dead Jim is dead, at -10 BODY. Arkelos casts Raise Dead (Heal BODY 6d6, Resurrection; Resurrection Only (-1/2)), bringing him to 0 BODY. Can Arkelos then cast a Major Heal spell on Jim (Simplified Healing 6d6), bringing him to 6 BODY, or would the second spell have first to overcome the BODY that was Healed by the first spell? Basically, does Resurrection count as a different type of Healing?

Confirmation
Going through the playtest file for UNTIL and saw something, want to confirm I understand the rule first however before I post it on that board My understanding was that Analyze gives a level of information touching on the supernatural or scientific testing. For example the exact compostion of what you are touching, while discrimitory gave the information you would need to tell it apart For example: Detect Magic says yes there is magic and roughly how strong it it Add discrim, and you can tell it is Necromantic magic Add analyze and you know what the Necro magic is being used for Is this right?
