Powers outside an EC being affected by Drain/Supress/etc...
I have a character who's rationale for powers is his mutant physiology and several of his/her powers are represented by an EC: Mutant Physiology (In this case the powers are Flight, Strength, and an energy blast - represented as "Power Vision"). However, the character also has a number of powers that stem from his mutant physiology but are not in the EC (Characteristics, Damage Resistance, Damage Reduction, etc...) for one reason or another (Because they're special powers or because they don't cost END, primarily). Now, how do I simulate that these powers are suceptible to the same Drain, Suppress, and other powers that would reduce the effectiveness of the EC?

Partially Limited Followup
But that's essentially the same Multipower, isn't it? How about doing it this way: 45: Multi Power 30 Points plus 30 Points; Increased Endurance (2xEND, -1/2), Getures -1/4, Incantation (-1/4) 4u: 6D6 EB plus 6D6 EB; Increased Endurance (2xEND, -1/2), Getures -1/4, Incantation (-1/4) 4u: 15" Flight plus 15" Flight; Increased Endurance (2xEND, -1/2), Getures -1/4, Incantation (-1/4) Or: 45: Multi Power 60 Points; Upper 30 points are Increased Endurance (2xEND, -1/2), Getures -1/4, Incantation (-1/4) 4u: 12D6 EB; Upper 6D6 are Increased Endurance (2xEND, -1/2), Getures -1/4, Incantation (-1/4) 4u: 30" Flight; Upper 15" are Increased Endurance (2xEND, -1/2),…

Follow up on Partially Limited Power
Follow up on Partially Limited Power 1: Would it be legal to buy an Aid for the powers of the Multi power instead or would that also be an illegal or manipulative way to go about it? So the power would look like this 30: Multi Power 30 Points 3u: 6D6 EB 3u: 15" Flight 3u: 2D6 Cosmetic Transform +2 into anything. 37: 5D6 Succor +1/2 any two magic powers (Slot and pool), Self only –1/2, and Standard Effect Rule = +15 This would represent both an increase in time (two phases) and an increase in end (Paying for both succor and slot end). The end price would only be slightly higher than buying the powers at +15 strait up. 2: Or can you ha…

Linked Question.
If a power that has the Limitation Linked has a predefined level where the power activates, does it activate at the lower levels of the power? Let me give a specific example: Our giant-size hero, Titan, can 60 pts. of Growth. He buys a Damage Reduction linked to his Growth. Does he get 25% nonresistant damage reduction when he's grown 10 points worth? Does it turn resistant at 15 points, and so forth, until he manifests his full 75% resistant damage reduction at his full size? --->M@ss

Partialy Limated
I would like to create a partialy limted Multipower for a spell caster in a High Fantasy Game. However the rules do not allow for one framework to affect another. Does this rule aply to my situation? 30: Multi Power 30 Points 3u: 6D6 EB 3u: 15" Flight 3u: 2D6 Cosmetic Transfrom +2 into anything. 15: Multi Power +30 Points X2 end -1/2, Getures -1/4, Incantation -1/4 = -1 1u: +6D6 EB X2 end -1/2 1u: +15" Flight X2 end -1/2 1u: +2D6 Cosmetic Transfrom +2 into anything. X2 end -1/2

Stupid Question #
I Know it's in FRED somewhere but I can't find the darn thing. When firing at a Hex, did the DCV of a Hex change for 5th edition. I looked all over the place this weekend but could find it.

Can't land
Steve, I am currently making a fire based character with the usual powers (FF,EB,DS, Flight). I have given the limitation OIHID on his fire powers to simulate having to "turn on" and the I gave him the limitation accidental change when soked with water or knocked unconcious to simulate puting him out. Another effect I was hoping to add was that he has to remain flying while his powers are "on". I was thinking of placing the "always on" limitation on the flight, but in order to have "always on" it has to be "0 END" and "persistant" which doesn't fit the idea of a power that is OIHID. So my question is, What would be an apropriate limitation level for this effect?

Experience Points Disadvantage
I was reading through Ninja Hero recently and noticed some of the characters had Experience Points as a disadvantage. I don't remember seeing anything in the Hero rule book on this where have I missed the info on this. And Ninja Hero is an excellent book BTW.

Suppress + ECs
Character A has a "Flame Powers" EC, containing Flight and Energy Blast (among others). Character B has a "Gravity Well" power, bought as Suppress: Flight (Without any advantages). Character C has an "Extinguish Flame" spell, bought as Suppress: Any one fire-based power (+1/4) It makes sense that if A's Flight is hit by C's suppress, his EB is also affected (it's in the same EC, and the suppress targets its SFX). However, it makes less sense for B's suppress to do this; it's targetted at the effect of a particular power (Flight), not the SFX of the EC (Flame). If B had attacked A at an earlier point in A's career (before A learned to use his flame t…

Two questions: What is the characters name? Is there going to be a bit on this in Digital Hero for those who do not buy MC?

Gun ranges
Just to ask: Are the ranges for guns in FREd supposed to be calculated per the active points? If so, rifles should get the "Increased Maximum Range" advantage, no? Keep up the good work! (Can't wait to get TUV!!!)

Shockwave
I am a little confused on how to build the Shockwave power listed in the Champions Genre Book under example powers for Bricks. It's list the power as an explosion for up to 60 STR, but the AP is only 45 points. Is this an EB? Just a bit confused. Thanks!

Possession
How would you do a "psychic possession" power like Deadman or Jericho from DC comics? The character would literally "step into" the target's shoes, controling him from within. Thanks in advance.

Compound Powers In An EC
I'm starting up a new campaign and one of the PC's has the following compound power: Altered Perspective: (Total: 50 Active Cost, 33 Real Cost) Flight 9", Usable Underwater (+1/4), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Persistent (+1/2) (40 Active Points); Only In Contact With A Surface (-1/4) (Real Cost: 32) plus Clinging (normal STR) (10 Active Points); Linked to Compound Power (-1/2), Cannot Resist Knockback (-1/4) (Real Cost: 6) Would this be a legal construct to put in an EC? I understand that Clinging doesn't normally cost END, nor does it in this case have the Costs END limitation, so under the rules it would not normally be allowed in an EC, but it is linked…

leaping followup
Neither adresses my real question. I will attempt an example: A STR10 character has a base 2" leap. He buys +3" leaping at a cost of 3 points, giving him 5" total which is the doubling point. After many adventures, he spends experiance to raise his STR to 20. This gives him 4" leaping base, for a total of 7" leap. Does he now have to pay extra for the last two inches?

Referring back to Macross HERO
Can a device that cases someone placed inside it to shrink or grow between two set sizes as long as someone outside the device is operating it be bought as a part of a vehicle or base? What limitations and advantages would be required to make it fit within the rules? This is designed to work so that normally giant-sized humanoids can be shrunk to human size and then grown back to their normal size when they get back from infiltrating the human base.

Weird Movement question
I'm thinking of addidng a somewhat weird power to a base (or maybe a vehicle, have not decided if it's going to be stationary or not), want to check if it is legal: I want to give it a huge leaping power, that is for the people inside of the base to use while leaving the base, essentialy a giant cannon that shoots them to where they need to go and a anti grav generator to slow the decent somewhat , would this just be Superleaping 10" Megascale +1/4, plus other modifiers or would it need UBO? Second if this power was placed in a vehicle would it need 0 end as it is not being used for the movement of the vehicle itself?

Suppression fire
I think I know the answer, but just in case: When someone crosses a line in which Suppression Fire is covering, does he only get hit once, or do you calculate the number of hits, as under the Autofire Rules (+1 hit per 2 the attack roll is made)?

Escape Clause Variant
A super-mage has the power Escape Clause as given in the rules book (page 149 sidebar), but has "improved" it to allow the mage and his lackies to escape at once. It has the UBO x8 and AE Selective Advantages. In battle the mage and followers are loosing so he decides it is time for them to leave and activates the power. All the lackies are in the AE, and conscious, but one is currently being held by an enemy, will that lacky also be able to escape via teleportation? Will they inadvertently take the grappling character with them? Is this all a GM call?
