Sorry, he was a brand new comedian and had only done a couple of gigs when he appeared at a comedy night at a club my brother was managing.  Nobody thought he would make it...mumbling, never looking at the audience, weird material.  Imagine my surprise when I saw him on TV a few years later.

When you thought he would end up as some guy on the couch, who knew?

Jae Lee.  I would not call him much of an artist after the second WildCATS limited series. He made Grifter look look stupid due to over-musculature and Zealot look effete. So I would not wish meeting him on an enemy let alone a friend.

He was actually a really nice guy. Explained to me how he added bracers to Namor because he couldn't draw wrists very well. This was after explaining that he dropped out of art school because they wasted time doing stuff like drawing bicycle chains in detail. Yeah, silly art school: Teaching you how to look at something and draw the detailed contours of it!

Though I can't say I didn't like him. Friendly, polite guy.

I'm going to guess you haven't met  . . . William Shatner.

3. Isis (Egyptian goddess)

4. Ezekiel the prophet’s ‘teacher(s)’.

5. Ra (Stargate).

Which one haven’t I met?

I’ll go with Ezekiel,  the rest you could have met at a Stargate-SG-1 convention.

You and Certified are both correct. I've never met William Shatner (though I've met other Trek stars).

I'm a big kaiju fan. I met Akira Takarada and Don Frye at a kaiju convention (as Frye was in Godzilla Final Wars). Ultimate Warrior I met at a work conference (he was promoting the latest WWE video game).

Alright Joe Walsh

Twice actually, first time was at what may have been the geekiest concert I've ever attended. Went to Comdex and won tickets to a privet concert at a club called the beech, which was little more than a bar with a stage. Everyone there was from the expo so it's all tech industry professionals. Got a free acid while I was there, just not the kind you would expect.  This wasn't really meeting him, but more a we ended up in very close proximity after the concert. Side note: The concert stopped for a brief moment when a couple got a bit too friendly on top on one of the speakers and everyone needed to take a moment to see what was going on.

The second time was in like '99 or 2000, I think he was looking for a tour manager when I ran into him. It was really only a passing meeting, no fun story there.

  • Steve Monroe (Tabasco ad – exploding mosquito)

Ok, you all have a 50/50 chance now.

I'll say Hoffs, because I feel like you would have mentioned that at some point.

And we have a winner!  Johnson, a former Boston Celtic, actually lived in Riverside, CA (the city I grew up in). I saw him one afternoon while hanging out at the mall.

I did not meet Hoffs, but was only one degree removed. My younger brother was friends (and occasional roady with a local band who's members went to our HS. Roxanne was the band. After performing in Hollywood one night, they went to Denny's with the Bangles.

And is that the Dennis Johnson who is now dead?  Defensive guard specialist for the Sonics and Celtics and perhaps others, long ago?

You are correct. I didn't speak to him, but did pass by a few feet away.

Hmmm...I'll say James Earl Jones as I don't recall him making himself as available to fans.

Going back to the 80s, it was a random meeting at a performance of Cats.

Never met Patrick Stewart, although I was at the Dragon*Con a year both he and Shatner attended. Think the closest we got though was across the hall, a very, very crowded hall.
