(Spoiled for space) Spoiler In Fantastic Four #5, the first appearance of Doctor Doom, the good doctor sends the three men of the FF back in time to retrieve Blackbeard’s treasure chest. They try to disguise Ben and end up creating the image of Blackbeard. This is when Ben was at his most miserable and he says he is staying back in time and living as the legendary pirate rather than returning to the present (1962, at the time). I’ve always wondered about what could have been. While looking for pics, I discovered that I’m not the only one! It seems Exiles revisited the story. Officially, he’s from Earth-TRN122.
