Sirrius Satellite Radio (installed in our new company cars) is pretty cool. Like 4 channels of old time, $4*t kicking, honky tonk music. Michael Hopcroft
Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? A modern version of the Passion oratorio, done by a composer whose name I cannot recall, on a classical music station here in Portland. I can't understand a word of it (it's in Latin) but the music is beautiful, reminiscent of Gregorian Chant. Instrument-makers in New York once put up a sign in their shop saying "Stradivarius made new violins". I'm wondering whether I'll ever see similar bumper stickers saying "Beethoven wrote New Music". Modern classical composer is almost a self-contradiction, such a lonely profession that one wonders why anyone would endure being so thoroughly ignored? Cowboy Bebop: all of it...a monster playlist created from all the Cowboy Bebop OST albums I could find and bashing them together real hard. I can't believe I'm saying this, but...the soundtrack is better without the anime. It's. Just. Plain. Awesome.
