Marcus Impudite
(I really wish we had a Jack o'Lantern smilie for this) It's that time of year again. The little goblins are out trick or treating, people are hosting Halloween parties, and AMC is showing a horror movie marathon until dawn the next morning. Of course, with all the people running around in costumes, this is also the time of year when certain supernatural troublemakers who normally have to stay out of sight of the public brazenly show themselves on the streets (in broad daylight no less, assuming they don't have susceptibility to such). Monsters of every imaginable variety, vampires, zombies, mummies, werewolves, demons, you name it, are all out in plain sight along with all the normals in costumes, and it stands to reason that more than a few of these creatures are going to be up to no good tonight. WWYCD?

WWYCD? Stay at home and scare any child brave enough to knock on our door witless. Of course the monsters are going to be out tonight, it's what they do. Why spoil their fun? That's what Vitus would do, anyway. Zero, on the other hand, would probably pick a perch and mind-scan anybody in a really convincing costume... Plex
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Plex dresses up as one of the spiritual nefarious no good baddies, buys a truck load of candy, and then dumps the candy in the middle of the park. Obviously anyone who doesn't come for the candy must be a bad guy and he goes and investigates. Any found to be a bad guy will have a piece of candy thrown at them with a 75 str while wishing them a Happy Halloween! (Luckily Plex can tell the good people form the bad people.) Hermit
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Well, nowadays, so many angst filled vampires have souls, and so many werewolves seek to control their curse for the greater good, and so many demons were kicked out of hell for being so nice... they might be a superhero team visiting so ya know, you just can't judge. "V"
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Jack-a-Dandy will not be on the streets tonight. There is always the chance that the Wild Hunt will be passing and the end result of that would either be a) He would end up being the quarry (some Faerie Queens hold dreadful grudges and their minions would do anything to curry favour with them) He would end up being swept along with them and become part of the hunt, thus embroiling himself once more in faerie politics which is like trying to play naked-Twister with Percy the Pirahna-Man and his sister Claudia Crocodile: Briefly entertaining but fraught with peril. Clonus
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Hellfire would simply go to a party dressed like a sexy angel. If something big happens, they'll call. There's no way she'd be able to find the little stuff in that confusion. The Wizard of Oz Incorporated works Halloween at the HQ, monitoring the security alert board. He wasn't in a game where supernatural things were a concern anyway so far as he knew. Riptide will keep a radio handy and zip off to check out reports of problems. Poet would spend his time on Halloween scaring the bejesus out of people on behalf of the wronged dead. Fortune Teller would do nothing. That's not her kind of problem.
Amber Nytstar
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 The Flying Kittens will be out in costume... as themselves. Of course the 'costumes' the Kittens are wearing will be full functional, while resembling the cheap store-bought versions. And they will have studied up on the weaknesses of the most likely troublemakers. Any monster trying to cause trouble while the Kittens are out on the streets will probably then receive a triple dose of silver-plated claws, garlic, salt, and wolfbane filled mouse-bombs, water guns filled with holy water, or hair-spray blowtorches. hfergus
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Olorin would go trick or treating as a medieval mage. Oh wait, he is one. He'd be out and about trick or treating as himself; really. He have some detect spells active (detect evil) and wait for chaos - other than holloween itself. He'd love the holiday. If nothing happened, he'd have a ball. If it did, well, undead, monsters, demons, etc. are not exactly foreign to him. His comment would be "Can't kids have fun without evil showing up? Man, this wouldn't happen in the 'good old days'. Someone hold my candy while I deal with this." Volt would be home handing out candy and waiting for any emergencies, as would every other character I have except Black Tiger. Black Tiger would be one patrol, botherinf those who looked too old. "Oh, sorry Olorin. I thought it was just a costume, not you."
Legatus
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 The First Ladies celebrate Halloween (or do they?): Primadonna gives a private concert for her best friend and most generous sponsors. Primaballerina is from Russia and does not take part in the whole craze. She wants this night to be over quickly. It is too loud, it is too much kids, it is too much candy. If she recognizes a real monster, it will be doomed, because she will dance the Dance of Angels. Diva has no time for fighting evil tonight, she is in a club. In as little a costume she could find, dancing till dawn, she would probably even flirt with that good loking vampire-guy. Of course if someone lured her into the Titty Twister, she might find it a bit too halloweenesque and leave early.
Twilight
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Twilight is very protective of children in general and thus keeps an eye on the trick or treaters. Any beasty trying to harm them, or just cause trouble in general, on his watch is going to get hurt severely. Danielle Danger is likely taking her little brother Tony trick or treating. Needless to say, any monster hassling these trick or treaters is going to regret it what with Danielle being a powerful brick and Tony being an energy projector/speedster. Guest Major Tom
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Powerstar, being based in Vibora Bay (the weirdness capital of the Champions Universe), is especially well-equipped to deal with things like vampires who are very allergic to sunlight. His ability to flood an area with sunlight is guaranteed to make things extremely un- pleasant for the bloodsuckers. And for the critters that can't be dealt with by giving them an extreme sunburn... well, suffice it to say that there are others in VB who are just as well-equipped to deal with the supernatural. Zed-F
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Soulbarb: Didn't I already have this adventure? Soulsight makes this not too tough for her. Sylph: Probably winds up going out to a Halloween party with Alaric and Magnesia, at which point things start getting very risque...
Badger
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Well Badger can sense demon aura. So he can find them without too much trouble. (and his hatred of them tends to result in him hunting and kiling them with extreme prejudice). The other monster types he might leave be (though vampires depending on the interpretation of them in a particular campaign could cause them to fall into similar category) It is either kill demons or stay at home training (no trick-or treaters, though, a cave in the woods dont get many visitors, dont ya know) Frosty Bob- Probably stay at home, and hit on the hot moms who bring their children over. Badger
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 One more that would be appropriate to this one Unnamed -half-banshee character (one of these days I'm gonna get back to finishing this character, really) Probably hide somewhere, and pray her hunteds dont find her (DEMON being one, 1 other "non-canon hunted) as Halloween is their best cover (for both groups) to come into town looking for her unnoticed. Kevin Schultz
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Jake the Troll - is a bit too old for trick-or-treating, but will probably accompany his younger siblings around town for the heck of it. He'd go as a pirate or a ninja, most likley. He deals with living with one foot in the spirit world on a daily basis; this is just the time when everyone ELSE gets some of the love as well. Icon - dresses up every year as Supergirl. Would probably have gone to a high school event of some sort earlier in the day, and would at that point be on patrol. Why? Because things ALWAYS happen on holloween; Argus City is large enough that the police can use all the help they can get. Shinji Miromoto - probably would have attended a party put on by the Dark Congress; you've never seen a Holoween event until you've seen one put on by mercenary dark science-mystic types. But they're mostly asian, so they don't quite 'get it', at least in a traditional Western sense. But it's fun anyway. Then he and the rest of the Dark Congress would probably spend the rest of the night trying to put down the psychic horrors that Jin from accounting managed to whip up after his fifth Black Margarita. Widower - would probably be dragged along to a party by his 'friends'. He'd consider it chaperoning, so he'd put up with it until whatever beastie from beyond the grave crashed the party, at which point he'd gleefully make an excuse and leave to deal with it. Wanderer
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Nova will shapeshift into a look adequate for the occasion, then crash some party, the wilder the better. If some really big evil manifest and registers to his cosmic awareness sense, he'll drop anything (moaning all the way for the missed merry time... unless a really good fight is foreseeable; he enjoys a wild party, but also a good combat). quozaxx
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Cornerstone would go after the demons first. Quoting scripture every chance he could, having faith that would send them back from wence they came. (You don't see the word "wence" that much anymore.) Silver Speedster would probably try to keep tabs on them. Following them when possible. Of course, checking his reflection out every chance he got. Mark IV would research Halloween and probably think this is just par for the course. He would go to a store and dress up, probably in the first costume he sees, (no matter how silly), and follow some trick-or-treaters copying what they do. (Even though he doesn't eat.) He would be eager to see what kind of "trick" the kids come up with if they don't get a treat. Super! Absorbant! Sponge!!!!!, of course, would be dressed up as his favorite cartoon sponge character, and probably not even notice the monsters are real. DataPacRat
Re: WWYCD: Halloween From Hell 2007 Mike the Demoness /is/ one of those demons.
