When a character who isn't *guaranteed* to KO a super in one attack is too weak (regardless of genre!), and it's unacceptable to play a character who can ever, theoretically, be damaged or even hit by anyone else, ever, using any kind of weapon. If you come into a Champions game with a character better suited to a World of Darkness game, you need to rethink your playstyle. When all of your characters are either combat monsters who have no non-combat skills (and/or personality), or complex characters with dozens of esoteric skills and novella-length character histories who have to hide behind the team Mentalist every time a fight breaks out. If you already know it's a canned or "railroad" adventure and you'll only be allowed to learn relevant information at the speed of plot, then bring a brawler, not a detective. If you regularly draw up characters that can't be hurt by a nuclear weapon, but would die instantly if their Life Support was Suppressed for two phases... If your response to *every* situation is "I draw my gun and shoot"... If the other players start singing "We represent the Lollypop Guild..." whenever you present a new character...
