Ohio Man Cited after Driving a Wheelchair While Intoxicated In germanny everything motorized that can go more then 6 km/h needs a Driver License (granted, a wheelchair needs nothing as difficulty as the one for a car or even moter bike and the one for car includes weehlchairs too). Ironically you could take a car, speed limit it to 6km/h and would not require a Drivers License. But put too much horsepower in your wheelchair and you might end up diving without license. Owing to back problems cannot open garage door by hand so uses front-end loader." It was his own garage (so not a crime, as he wasn't trying to commit insurance fraud, and there's no law about damaging your own property).
