HeroGM got a reaction from Sketchpad in Golden Age Champions
Soft and as a fan of the Older GAC, I find it very usable and worth the effort. If you don't like it I'll buy it from ya

HeroGM reacted to RPMiller in Hero System for FoundryVTT
YMMV, but my son's group used the aforementioned module for the first time and for their very first playtest of Hero, and found it helpful and easy to use.

As mentioned above there is an unofficial Hero Module for Foundry. Works pretty good. I would recommend it before Roll20, but then again, I only tried the Roll20 one once and it was an early version, but I didn't like it as much as the Foundry one. YMMV.

HeroGM reacted to Christopher R Taylor in Next BLANK Hero RPG Book...
I would really like to see a War Hero book put out, probably best to do WW2 as the starting setting, then supplements for WWI, Vietnam, War on Terror, Civil War, Crimea, Napoleonic, etc.
An update reboot of Cyber Hero might be worth considering, too. Kaiju Hero probably has a market as well. It might be worth doing a Survival Hero, covering stuff like post-apocalypse and other end of the world scenarios like a giant meteor strike, zombies, etc

HeroGM got a reaction from Korgoth in Western Hero: Rough and Ready Roleplaying
John Byrne did two (well read one) issue of Alpha Flight that took place in 1880s Alberta (have to relook) that would make a good weird west campaign - and the idea of his Great Beasts as well as Shaman and Talisman would ALMOST fit.

Skullface - The Phantom Pain from Metal Gear Solid. Would make an interesting character (at least the look) for a Weird Western or even Pulp game.

HeroGM reacted to Lord Liaden in Victorian Hero released
Digital Hero #39 includes a mini-setting, War of the Worlds: Champions, set in the same era as H.G. Wells' novel, the end of the 19th Century. The difference in concept is that the toxic "black smoke" weapon used by the Martians, while lethal to the vast majority of humans, in very rare cases induces super-powers, giving humanity something of an equalizer against the Martian technology. Those powers can include super intelligence, so you also get steampunk vehicles and other weapons.

HeroGM reacted to Simon in Complication Q
Without modifying the template, the following options would work (either manually on each character or as a prefab):
1. Custom "Adder" on each Complication to negate the cost - the custom Adder needs a negative cost greater than or equal to the cost of the Complication -- all Complications have a minimum of 0, so you won't get points back if the Adder is too much.
2. Create a List on the Complications tab and add a Private Adder to it. Set the value of the private Adder to the total of all Package Complications (e.g. -175 points). Add all Package Complications to the list. Math involved in this approach, as Lists don't have the same minimum value as Complications (hence the Private Adder).

HeroGM reacted to Susano in Strike Force Organizations
Greetings everyone. I wanted to announce the official start of my work on Strike Force Organizations, a sequel to 2016's Aaron Allston’s Strike Force.
The book will focus on three groups, the Blood, the Circle, and METE (all previous presented in Champions Organization products for early editions of Champions. My intent is to combine the content written for the PDFs with content Aaron wrote for his proposed (but never complete) Strike Force Universe series of books.
I intend to update the content to HERO 6e, update the text to correct any errors and issues, and update any references to current game mechanics. I will not fill in any gaps -- I am not so arrogant as to assume what Aaron would have wanted, but I will acknowledge areas where content is lacking (if such a need arrives). I hope to find updated character sheets for many of the early NPCs, but will work with what I have.
I also intend to present bases, vehicles, scenarios, and villains, just as they all appeared in the early releases.
I will change names (for example, METE will be called Alien Research Laboratories) in accordance to Aaron's wishes and per his list of corrections for setting names.
This product will be released as a collaborative work between Surbrook Press and High Rock Press.
Finally, the book will contain stats for Prowlers & Paragons UE and I hope to have a P&PUE add-on detailing all of the characters from Aaron Allston’s Strike Force.
PS: that last item has already been discussed with Jason. I am seeking to support two systems that I greatly enjoy and I hope to draw both fan-bases together to support this product.
PSS: I will endeavor to provide frequent updates. Please bug me via this thread if I forget. -

HeroGM got a reaction from Khymeria in Looking for some Feedback
May wanted to change the Hunted: Adventurer's Guild to Watched: , showing that they keep an eye on the person without involving too much effort on keeping tabs. To me a hunted would mean they send someone after him from town to town; where it could just mean they watch what he does - as long as they pay dues, don't get arrested (too often) and keep their nose clean they don't bother them.
All in all I don't see an issue with it all.

That outfit just _screams_ "waiting for the police to arrive and tell me that my wealthy husband has died under mysterious circumstances...."
